The bathroom is ok the plumbing made noises for several hours after use so we had to keep the door closed . Deducted one more stAr for location .The location is far from downtown sorta inconvenient Too far to walk so An ATAC bus ticket (would purchase before arriving;get a multiple day one for tram+bus) would be useful to get around. That made the location extremely convenient. The hotel sits a short walk from Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. Some areas near the main train station are often described as unsafe by Italian standards. We did not experience that near the hotel. Tourists and locals were out late, and the neighborhood stayed active into the evening. Rome is compact and easy to navigate. Most major attractions felt reachable within about 20 minutes by taxi, bus, or rail. We tried to visit the Trevi Fountain at 10:00 pm to avoid crowds. That plan failed completely(see pic). It was packed. Locals eat later than in the U.S., and many parts of the city stay busy well into the night. Restaurants remain open late. A note for U.S. travelers. European hotel rooms run smaller for the price. Even using Hilton points, our room would have cost close to $700 per night USD and felt small. The hotel offers a pleasant rooftop bar and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The buffet breakfast was a solid, comfortable way to start the day. It was included for us as Hilton Diamond members. I am unsure of the cash price. Overall, the location and amenities make this a smart pre-cruise choice, especially for travelers relying on rail connections.

Pro tip: Ironing boards/iron not in room and must be requested via Front Desk. However, you can have up to TWO items pressed daily Free. I deducted one star because our bed was lumpy - time to switch out the mattress! And be sure to request a room on floors 1-3. The fourth floor is right below the gym and very noisy during gym hours.

As soon as we arrived in our rental car, a bellman opened our doors and took out all of our luggage to bring up to the room for us. They even have a shuttle for FREE every 30 minutes to a specific drop off. (It was by all the designer stores). We decided to share a burger from the "American bar" and it was pretty good! Very expensive. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was amazing. Will definitely be back! Thanks for the memorable stay.
