This is an absolute gem in the Rino neighborhood. The folks that work here are super friendly and always nice to chit chat with. While Rino doesn't have a grocery store, this spot has everything to make a banger charcuterie board and of course delish sips to pair with it! They even have fresh bread on the weekends that pairs so well with the tinned fish offerings. The single beer selection is awesome and they are always rotating new items in! Newest favorite liquor store in town!! It's now a ritual to come here before house parties to stock up on gifts or general alcohol contributions. They specialize in local booze and ALWAYS make excellent recommendations, doesn't matter what wine or spirit you're looking for. I've personally gotten whiskey and gin. Happy to pay a little extra for a unique bottle... surprised at the negative reviews, but people were probably expecting a cheap, grungy liquor store. She also carefully selects all their beers, liquors, and inexpensive bottles so you're always sure to make an excellent choice. I want so hard to love this place and sometimes I do, but too often reminded it has a long way to go. Service can be great and then awful. They rotate much of the wine often so likely need help understanding what is in stock. Came in Friday night 9:30 - the only ones in the store, store rep sat at her computer as if we weren't there - awkward. Very disappointed in spirit selection. It was very expensive and there were no recognizable brands. I ended up getting a bottle of tequila due to the staff's recommendation but it was quite awful and $10 more than other store around Denver for that brand. I have an full bottle that no one will touch due to taste. This a very small liquor store so if there is something you have in mind I would definitely call ahead to make sure that have it before making the trek. read more

This might not be the best stop if you're looking to pick up some six packs for a party or some value champagne for mimosas or mixers for a bottle of vodka you've had hanging around. But you might find a decently priced wine that you haven't seen anywhere else to pair with your dinner along with friendly, informative shopkeepers to assist with recommendations. Proof moved into the neighborhood shortly after Nooch vacated and moved to South Broadway. If you're familiar with the space, it's pretty small and doesn't lend itself to finding exactly what you're looking for, no matter the inhabitant. But if you come in with nothing particular in mind, you may be pleasantly surprised! We were on an impromptu neighborhood bar crawl a few Saturdays ago and decided to stop into our new neighborhood bottle shop. I ended up with three bottles of wine (each about $15) that I'd never seen anywhere else. I would say the small shop is about 2/3 wine and maybe 1/6 each of beer and spirits. The beer cooler, in particular, could use a bit more expansion and I'm hoping the make more use of some of the space in the future. Until then, stop in if you're in the mood for wine and feeling indecisive! read more

This was a lovely stop while I was trying not to freeze in -1F weather. I knew of Proof because they had done appetizer and wine pairings at Cart Driver months back. It was the night before NYE, so I decided to stop here on a whim. They have a small selection of wine from your major (and not so major) wine countries along with some states. This is a great store ! They manage fit a great selection of booze as well as high quality bitters and mixers into a quaint cornerstore locale. Zero rating. Terrible service at checkout. I had to wait. And wait. And wait. For the staff of 2 to both handle the check out of a couple in front of us who were taking forever. The staff is clueless as to how to get people in and out in any timely fashion. They also have a slim selection. Overall, skip this place and go to the liquor store by black shirt brewery or Mrs B's.
