The place is located just off the main drag in Cooks Corner, which is nice as you don't have to deal with fast moving traffic while pulling in or out of the facility. I waited a bit to get in but it wasn't too long. I followed their directions, got to the right spot, killed the engine, popped the hood and off they went. I don't recall the guy's name but he approached the car and made some nice compliments and got my information. After a bit they told me that the plastic cover over my oil pan was loose and they had to secure it with a couple of wire ties. This was actually great because, while driving, I would occasionally hear something banging, but I couldn't figure out what it was, but it has stopped since they fixed the loose plastic...no charge...and I certainly appreciate the extra attention. The oil change went as expected and I was in and out in quick fashion. I am always very impressed with the great service I get at Prompto at Cooks Corner in Brunswick. Today I am taking my daughter-in-laws car in for an oil change and I expect it will go smoothly as usual. Great place, nice people, super service, well worth the price, which is very reasonable, even for the synthetic oil service. read more

Do not use this company they damaged my daughter's car and refuse to cover it. He posted on social media that in a private conversation I threatened the shop. I threatened to file a lawsuit But to disclose comments of a private conversation you can see what kind of people you are dealing with. This damage was verified by an independent mechanic. Of course the company is going to say the looked into it and found it was not there fault. They also broke the electrical connector when they damaged the plastic. The pictures show a shiny spot on the alternator with black streak where the hit the alternator. The charging system worked when the car was given to them to change the oil. And to make false claims of what the customer said shows you who you are dealing with. read more

I have been going here for years and have always had a good experience. The staff is friendly, fast and efficient. I deduct a "star" because the advertised price is never what you will actually pay.... it doesn't include labor charges, etc. Also, the "upsells" are overpriced and I routinely decline them because I can replace an air filter for half the price. That being said, these guys are good people and it is super convenient. read more

I brought 3 cars in today because they were so professional and friendly. I especially liked Jordan who went to extra mile to teach someone how to handle an old sports car and told me about a problem. My experience here was not good regarding a "corporate policy". The employees were nice and understanding, but I had a significant disagreement with the corporate policy that did not allow them to change my oil because I brought my own specific oil and filter, designed for my vehicle. Worse, the worker beneath the vehicle had already drained a quart out of my car prior to being told to stop by the manager. The manager offered to replace the quart with a different oil but would not continue the work that had been already started because it was against company policy. I find this unfortunate because the workers all seemed nice. I went down the road and had the oil changed by another company that understood the specific spec required by my vehicle. read more

I did not take the truck to other oil change places, my 2014 truck has 50,000 miles ya I don't drive it much so it did not need an oil change till I got it down to Florida and they found the last person to change it strip the plug, they noted the damage so when I got back and called them they told me they were not going to do anything for me. I haven't been here in about a million years it seemed like and boy were they busy...the line was quite long and 2 bays only and that's not a bad thing . Kids and I listened to Christmas music (a bit early ) and talked, so it was fun. Once we got inside, wow! They were a happy bunch of fellas, one even did some dance moves while they worked on people's cars. The employee we had, opened my door to let me out and was very nice. Drivers have to get out of their vehicles and wait in the waiting area, as they check your car and in case they need to speak with you. When the employee had to get inside my car, my granddaughter would talk with him and my sons were laughing, so I know they were having fun and its great to see workers interact positively to kids...it makes the whole time there a lot more pleasant and fun. The employee let me know that my daughter was funny and sweet, reminded him of his little girl... I said thank you (and it's funny that people think I'm her mom and at my age, I'll take that compliment !). After I paid and I was going to my car, the employee opened my car door for me and said thank you and to enjoy the rest of my day and he exchanged some farewells to my boys and granddaughter. I said thank you and him too, especially when the line behind me seemed endless. As we left, my granddaughter said, she had fun and she liked him and wanted to know when could we do it again. So, the five stars, is my hats off to everyone working that day. To the guys above and the ones we don't see below, my hats off to you! [Formerly 5 stars] I moved to New England recently and don't have a a place to change oil myself, but these guys were recommended for quick work and a fair price. For a while I planned my oil changes for when I would be in town because I don't know anywhere else with a good rep. Plus the excuse to get away from Massachusetts is it's own bonus. Like always I would bring my own oil and they changed it out quickly. For maybe half a dozen visits so far (I haven't really kept count). Now they claim they cannot use oil I've brought myself. I've never heard of a shop that with this rule, but that's a minor issue; maybe it's been their policy but they did it as a favor. However, they went on to claim that they never did, never would, that I'm lying about my past visits, and suggested that i had never been there. Which is demonstrably false. That's where they lost my business. I could try and figure out their change, but it doesn't matter when I can't trust them. Anyone who lies about something so trivial and provably wrong will lie to cover something important. It's hard to screw up an oil change but it's never worth paying someone you can't trust. read more

This is such a great service. Oil change, fluid fillups and brand new wipers. The only thing missing from this great stop is the pine scented treee haning from the mirror. The wait depends on time of day, first thing in the morning is the quickest. If you go in the afternoon or evening be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes depending on the line. The service is always friendly and polite. (they even drive my car in, since I'm terrified of driving it into the hole in the floor). The usually get my car out in under ten minutes, now thats prompto. read more

Very Disapointed This company changed our oil and didnt put the oil cap back on- luckily it was headed into another garage and they spotted oil everywhere and the missing cap! Worst part is another family member had a similar experience a few months ago- No More for us! Beware! read more

I asked if I'd be paying the $22.95 for an oil change, or if I'd have to pay more money because my truck was a diesel, whoever I spoke to on the phone insured me the price wouldn't go up. So I came in same day, the price was $71 & some change (after the oil change had been done and I was at the register), I was furious but held it all together, I said that's not the price I was told, and the black guy laughed at me with a mischievous smile and said "you didn't expect to pay $22.95 did you" as I went to tell him that someone on the phone said this would be the price for my diesel otherwise I would of done the oil change myself. He didn't care, he expected me to name off the individual, as all his employees were silent. I'm very displeased that I was lied to, and the problem wasn't taken care of. Don't lie to your customers. I was a little leery to try this place, as the reviews were significantly mixed. I walked in and told them this and asked what the price would be. The two fellows who helped me were excellent. They told me the price, to the penny, and that's what it was. I asked if I needed an air filter too and they inspected it and said I didn't. They did sell me some coolant, which was low, as they showed me. And they offered to install an air filter for free if I purchased one somewhere else. I was out of there inside of ten minutes. The guys were friendly, informative, professional and they have a new loyal customer for life. I highly recommend this station. read more

Went in for an oil change and my hood latch hadnt been working. I had planned to get it repaired. It would have cost me $145. These guys wouldnt let me leave until the hood was secured. For over 15 minutes they tinkered with it until the hood latched. They didnt charge me a thing. That was a month ago and the hood still latches just fine. They went the extra mile for me and saved me nearly $150! Great guys! read more

I religiously change the oil in my SUV. In a pinch for time we took it to Prompto. Usually an oil change runs me between 45-60 dollars. We use synthetic oil so I'm aware it's pricey. Prompto's charge?? 96.64!!! Charged nearly 17 dollars for removing and putting a skid plate back ( owned the car 3 yrs never seen a charge for this) charged for 9 qt. of oil, my car should only have 7.7 qt. I spoke with the manger and he said he explained to my husband the differences in the synthetic oils. He then was rattling off so much technical info, we don't deal with oil daily so really he was speaking a foreign language. In no way shape or form we would have ever knowingly agreed to pay nearly 100 dollars for an oil change. They did offer for me to bring it in and they would take out extra quart they put it and refund me for that. However, the overfilling and the shady dealings leaves me willing to pay a real mechanic to fix it. I strongly urge people to go to a real garage and avoid being fooled into additional charges and extremely expensive oil. read more
