STAY FAR AWAY!!! If I could give them negative stars, I would. They do not have your best interests. As a licensed real estate agent, this was one of the most disappointing and unethical experiences I've had working with another real estate company. I had an exclusive tenant brokerage agreement with my client and reached out to Promove to help locate available apartment options. I initially spoke with Oleg Konstantinovsky, who told me he would provide a list of available properties and schedule the tours. He repeatedly assured me that I was protected as the client's agent, that I did not need to attend the tours in person, and that Promove had employees who conducted the showings. Most importantly, he repeatedly assured me that I would be paid. At no point did Oleg clearly explain how Promove's process actually worked. He never disclosed that: Promove would be paid directly by the apartment community. I needed a referral agreement with Promove. My compensation depended on additional requirements that had never been communicated to me. According to Promove, I needed to personally show the property in order to receive compensation. After my client paid the deposit, Oleg actually called me asking why Promove--instead of me--was listed to receive the referral payment. That immediately raised concerns. I then contacted the apartment leasing office directly and was told that because Promove had contacted them first regarding my client, the referral payment would go to Promove--not to me as my client's agent. When I confronted Oleg, he claimed the reason was that he had a listing agreement with the apartment community. I verified this directly with the leasing office, and they told me that was not true. I also spoke with Promove manager David Haynes to understand why none of this had been explained upfront. Rather than answering my questions, he cowardly kept repeatedly responding with, "That's been our policy for 30 years." He never addressed why the process had not been disclosed before my client moved forward. In the end, Promove collected approximately $2,000 after doing little more than emailing to schedule a tour, while I--the agent representing the client under an exclusive agreement--was completely cut out of the compensation because of information that was never disclosed from the beginning. Even my client described the situation as unethical and was extremely unhappy with how everything was handled. My issue is not that companies have policies. My issue is with the complete lack of transparency. If Promove had honestly explained the process from the beginning, I could have made an informed decision and protected both my client and my business. Instead, I was repeatedly reassured that everything was fine, only to discover after the lease was signed that I had effectively been replaced in the transaction. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Promove to other real estate agents. I would strongly encourage any agent considering working with them to avoid working with Promove at all costs. If you do reach out to Promove simply to get a list of available apartments, DO NOT allow Promove to schedule any appointments on your behalf. You call the apartment complex yourself, register your name as the agent, schedule a tour, and show up with your client to the tour. Not sure how either one of these guys sleeps at night knowing they're literally living in a web of lying, manipulating, and stealing from people. read more

I'd looked at TONS of places; mostly on FB Marketplace, Craigslist, Trulia & Zillow. Found a company named, "ProMove" who takes your budget & criteria & then sends you prospects. The complex who you sign a lease with pays PROMOV. This saves TONS of time & money. My contact at PROMOVE was "Markisha Foster." I shared that I don't want to live near anyone smoking weed, shouting and fighting, a place with garbage & empty bottles strewn around, loud music, anyone selling drugs, breaking into cars and racing through in their cars like others and children don't live there. She asked what neighborhoods I found interesting? I said; Roswell, Marietta, Smyrna, Vinings and possibly Buckhead. She said give her a few hours and she'd get back to me. The very first place she recommended was a place in Smyrna named, "Park At Vinings". She said, "Judging by what you requested? Your gonna love this place." I liked what I saw online, asked her to set me up an appointment and take it from there. I don't like to jump into anything regardless of how I "feel" about it. I have to make an educated decision based on many factors. With that said.... When you first arrive there's a long roadway from the main road that you have to drive down so you really can't see much of the place from the road. It's a MASSIVE complex yet still...tucked away. I phoned the office and was greeted by a wonderful lady named, "Trina Slade". She instructed me on how to get to the leasing office. When I first entered, Trina greeted me with a big smile and a "Welcome!" Trina asked how I discovered them, what I was looking for and if I had any special requirements. I told her and she listened intently taking it all in. She showed me an illustration of everything available, asked which I would like to see, requested my I.D. and we were off! We hopped into one of those little golf carts and she delighted on how much she loved working there and how this place was like no other she'd worked. A few residents greeted her with a smile and light convo (ALWAYS a good sign with property Mgmt.) I took in all the little children playing, riding their bikes, people walking their little dogs, couples striding hand in hand, joggers and families just...living. I felt an exceptionally strong sense of family and shared values here. Nooo funny business. The pool was one of the most lovely I've seen in Atlanta, it's a winding resort style pool with plenty of seating. There seemed to be ample parking and lots of trees. I requested an upper unit because big roaches are usually found scurrying around most ground "garden units" in woodsy areas in The South & I'm not a fan. A 2nd floor unit wasn't available to be seen at that time so Trina showed me a garden unit that would have an almost identical layout to an upper unit soon to be available. From the moment I walked in, I liked it. 1333 sqft. Spacious, clean, with a much different layout to any others I'd seen. Big bedrooms, nice living room, lots of cabinets & closet space and even a large day room with skylights! I was in love with it. Just my kind of place. Markisha was spot on with this recommendation. I would DEFINITELY recommend Ms. Trina Slade and PAV to anyone in the market for a new apartment. She's patient, polite and won't stop until your satisfied and the place is beautiful. I contacted PROMOVE while trying to find safe housing for my family due to serious habitability and maintenance issues at my previous residence, including concerns that impacted my child's health. Instead of being treated with empathy or professionalism, I was spoken to in a very rude and dismissive manner by Chanel Douglas. After explaining my situation, I was told she could not help me, could not refer me to anyone else, and that she "worked for herself" and did not have a supervisor. My concerns were not simply about wanting to break a lease. I had already documented unresolved maintenance issues, including heating and flooding concerns, and ultimately had to vacate the property because the conditions were no longer safe for my family. I later received a response from the company stating they reviewed my file and that the conversation was related to lease obligations. However, that completely missed the point of my concern. My issue was the lack of compassion, professionalism, and willingness to assist someone dealing with a difficult housing situation involving safety and medical concerns. Clients reaching out for housing assistance should be treated respectfully, especially when they are already under stress. Based on my experience, I did not feel heard or supported. read more

THE WORST RELOCATION AGENT EVER. I've used Promove before and had amazing experiences -- until I was unlucky enough to be assigned to Markisha Foster. Let me be clear: she is hands down the worst relocation agent I have ever encountered. From the very beginning, Markisha was unprofessional, dismissive, and had a terrible attitude. It felt like I was an inconvenience to her rather than a valued client. She seemed way more concerned about locking in her commission than actually helping me find the right apartment. Every interaction with her was frustrating, rushed, and left me feeling like I was on my own. She didn't listen to my needs, sent me listings that didn't match what I asked for, and when I tried to clarify or ask questions, her responses were short and borderline rude. There was zero effort on her part to go the extra mile -- or even the bare minimum. In the end, I had to do all the work myself and found my apartment without her help at all. If you're thinking about using Promove, I'd still recommend the company -- just make sure you ask not to be assigned to Markisha Foster. She gives the entire service a bad name. I do not have multiple evictions on me nor property dance. I said that you didn't have to be so rude she responded and said oh I didn't know. Initial contact: This was easy to navigate and generate a request for what I was looking for. Someone reached out to me pretty quickly to get further details of what I was looking for. Execution: The person working my file put together a list of available units way out of my price range (units 500-800+ over my max price), nowhere near the area I was looking in (I provided an entire county, and I got results all the way to 2 counties south). Though hard working, it just added more to my plate to sift through their results and find absolutely nothing due to these major disqualifiers. Result: I ended up finding something on my own after driving up to the area (4.5 hours) and spending 4 full days looking at places that matched my criteria. Would I use them again? not likely. Would I recommend you use them? If you're looking to live IN Atlanta and don't care too much about price, then sure. I've gone through Promove twice now. The first time, they never followed-up about a rebate, nor did the "Claim a rebate" function on their website. The second time, they were less than helpful. Sure, they'll build you a portfolio, but they take forever to follow-up on requests. At the end (after I've done all the work) they want to swoop-in and claim they're referral money. Additionally, they are insanely pushy. I've requested to stop being emailed and texted several times, and they keep pushing the issue of why I chose not to sign somewhere (see photo). After a year of staying in the apartment located by promove- we finally receive the cash rebate. I've changed my rating to 4 star simply out because of the timeframe it took to receive the promised rebate. The only reason we received the rebate was because we got a call from one of the reps asking if we were signing a new lease or looking for another place to live. Once we mentioned never receiving the rebate we got them literally in about 2 days. Overall- the service is cool and convenient for those of you needing assistance looking for a nice apartment to stay with good rates. You'll have to sort of follow up for the rebate though. I had a friend of the family apply for an apartment, get approved, then denied. They are a student and the parent assisted in the process and had all boxes checked for being approved and still they denied. I don't understand what they expect young people to do. It's very unfair. I am probably going to call Channel 2 or 11 and have the story highlighted about these unfair practices at these leasing offices. I think they need a spotlight on the news and maybe their best practices can be reviewed by an external agency. Very disappointing. Literally the worst experience with a moving company I have ever had. I utilized and paid down on an apartment for the first time in Chicago years ago and felt it would be similar in Atlanta. Boy , was I wrong. I worked with Dion in February of 2021 and things seem fairly consistent but I ended up not going with the apartments he suggested although he was helpful. I backed out and figured the market would be better a few months later. I reached back out via email with no response. I left a message and got no response, I called back and spoke with a Trevor or Michael they apologized claimed they had a wrong number on file. He promised to send a portfolio out within 30 mins and it never arrived. I called back and Dion answered claiming he never worked with me in the February , but whatever. He apologized again and promised I would receive a portfolio in the morning. It didn't happen. I waited to around 10 am the next morning , called and this time a woman picked up. She claimed the number wasn't put in and asked my requirements once again, promised a portfolio to my email and it never came . I called again and now my calls are being sent to voicemail. If you really need help I suggest hunting apartments out yourself as clearly they are either overwhelmed or just assholes. read more

We used Promove as we moved to Atlanta from the DC area. It really helped as we were not familiar with neighborhoods and communities. David was our locator and he did a fantastic job. He called to check on us regularly during the process and he had no problem creating new searches for us when nothing really fit what we were looking for. We're so happy with the place that we found! Full disclosure: we are working on getting our rebate now, you do have to jump through a few hoops to get it. And the timeline they give you is 60-90 days. They really helped us jump-start our apartment search! We ended up buying a house, so we didn't get to go through the whole process, but I need to give them a stellar review for stellar service. This service is free to apartment hunters, because they get paid on commission from whatever apartment you choose that they helped you find. We met with a consultant, who had a giant map of the Atlanta metro area on his wall, and we narrowed down our options based off of what we wanted to be near to, which he drew on the map with a dry erase marker. We found this to be a very useful step for visualization, especially for me, since at that time I was still learning my way around (who am I kidding, I still am, but I know more than I did then). They have a big database full of good apartments that have to meet their standards, and our consultant gave us tips on which apartments were really the best. Then they printed out details of the ones we were most interested in, and they were our liaison between us and the apartment complexes as we scheduled visit dates. I'd recommend them to anyone that's apartment hunting in this big, sprawling city of ours. They were helpful, encouraging, and made us feel a lot less alone in the apartment hunting game. read more

Although , he was very pleasant I was very disappointed with the lack of help I received . I would like to mention that I do have a 7 year old conviction on my background . As soon as I stated that to the agent he began trying to get me to buy a home instead.. it was very unfortunate because I was looking forward to working with promove & my family and I were on a very short time constraint. I understand if finding an apartment in Atlanta with a background is too difficult for promove but , I rather the agent have told me that or referred me to another agent that would have been willing to help with my search instead of trying to bait me into buying a property. After doing thorough research on my own I was able to find an apartment that accepted my background . I loved working with Promove until it came time for them to give me my rebate. Michael from Promove and I were in constant contact via email, text, and phone calls. After I signed with my apartment, there was some difficulty with the apartment not recording Promove as my reference, but I worked it out with the leasing office and let Michael know. He said that was great, and I asked him how to get my rebate. I followed up after about a week because he had not responded, and I made sure I contacted him via text and email. No response. After several occasions of this, I just gave up. So imagine my surprise when Michael emailed me this year, saying he wanted to help me find a new apartment! I told him I never got my rebate, and he said "it appears you didn't claim it". Y'all. I asked him HOW to claim it multiple times. The one thing we never ever talked about in all of our communications was how to claim my rebate. I sent him the proof of contact with him, asking these questions. And, can you guess it? He stopped replying. Terrible communication and customer service if you have any problems whatsoever. I can't even tell y'all for sure that they actually give out rebates to some people. Because, again, I NEVER received mine. Extremely disappointed. Also, FYI, the Promove website does not show you all apartments. Only ones they have deals with. So I would recommend using other sources as well. read more

My relatives have been there for a few months and love it. I also used the service when relocating and they found us great options. And our rep was so pleasant and efficient! The customer service rep thought I couldn't hear him when he told his supervisor, "This one doesn't have a job." What an ugly way to refer to a disabled vet. They told me to find a place on Craigslist. I called again because I had a family member willing to put his name on the lease. The call dropped after they said I showed up in their system as wanting income-based housing (NOT true). Never got the email they promised with available apartments. Promove helped us find our apartment years ago! They were so helpful and knowledgeable, it was like you were purchasing a home rather then renting with the type of service they provided! It was an absolute treat! I do suggest though, although I know their objective is to get you into an apartment, eventually you may move and that is a process they may want to discuss and look into. The apartment complex, Calibre Springs in Sandy Springs(Atlanta)has been an absolute nightmare in regards to ending the lease properly. Maybe Promove should consider these outlets and discussions before suggesting an apartment complex. Apartment searching is never fun, especially when you're as picky as I am. I was looking for a large 1bedroom, hopefully with a den/office, in the heart of Midtown that wasn't a plain box or a Post property, came with covered secured parking, allowed dogs of medium size, had storage space, preferably in a historic building, and oh yeah... no siding. I hate siding. And all for under $1300/month. Tim Prizer at Promove was kind enough to take on my mission. We looked at the map of Atlanta, and I know he wasn't pleased to see the 6-block area I was interested in: land of highrises and high rents... and mostly condos. He took all of my "issues" in stride and came up with a ton of options for me, some that we knew off the bat wouldn't work, others that he encouraged me to check out, just in case. He obviously knew a lot about the properties and wasn't afraid to give me the real deal on them and whether or not they'd work for me. As I was off hunting, Tim would call and check in on my progress. I ended up finding a condo that somewhat fit my needs and decided to go for it, so unfortunately Tim didn't get anything for all of his work. Except for this review. Sorry, Tim! I'd definitely recommend Promove to someone who's sick of scouring Craigslist or doesn't know where to start. The folks over there are incredibly friendly and most importantly, it's free! They'll also help you with some of the move-in troubles like getting your utilities set up, renting a washer/dryer if you need one, etc. My one complaint is the amount of paper they use! There was a separate sheet printed out for each of the properties I looked at and all of the information was also emailed to me. I feel like the process could have been streamlined if Tim and I could have just looked at a computer screen together and filtered through the results there. read more

This is my second time using Pro-Move, and I must say this is a situation in which you must "Eat the fish and spit out the bones." Daniel Cox was my agent this go-round, and Tommy was the first. I told Daniel I wanted a two bed-room townhouse equidistant from my job and my partner's job, with W/D connections, pet-friendly, and under $850. I actually thought my expectations were unrealistic, BUT he managed to muster up a list. I've always been really anal in the rental hunting process, so I'll say that Pro-Move is an excellent STARTING point. Apparently these folks don't do their research on the rental properties, so you should take the portfolio they give you and Google the reviews! A great bit of the photos/info about the properties are outdated, which will get you in quite the pickle if you are not careful. Some places have pest problem, issues with burglaries, shady staff, or are plain-out old and not worth the money. I used Daniel's list as a starting point. I looked at his suggestions, read reviews, then selected favorites to visit. Again, ProMove is a good place to start -- you just need to do more digging on your own. read more

I called Promove (Buckhead) Monday 9/21/15 around 2pm. The experience wasn't good. The man I spoke with was okay until I gave him my price range. $600 - $700 for a (1) bedroom apartment. He became abrupt and rude. He said for that price range I'm going to live hours outside of Atlanta or I can rent a room somewhere and Promove will not be able to assist me.( His exact words ). I called Wednesday 9/23/15 to report my experience to a supervisor. I spoke to a woman she "seemed" genuinely concerned and said she would report this to the manager/supervisor and have him contact me. I was never contacted. I lived in Dunwoody for (5) years paying this price range so, what he said is completely false. read more
