This is the perfect low-key place to get a beer, grab a bite and chill. It's in a strip mall, but that's what makes it the go to place for locals. Has a few indoor seats, bar seats with a few TVs, and outdoor patio. Ton of beer choices. read more

This place used to be a lot cooler and more family friendly. The food is not bad and the bartenders are decent but if you have a kid, you better have them on a leash or they will regulate on you. read more

Would not recommend. The energy is "off" here. While I was ordering with my buddy, the cashier kept looking to his right, at a row of people, and they were smirking and giggling back and forth. I wanted to ask if there was something wrong or something. It was awful. I felt so unwelcome here. I couldn't wait to get out of there. The food was subpar, and overpriced. Just an awful, awful experience. read more

The food was terrible the drinks were disappointing not fresh and lacking and worse yet was the girl that was taking orders at the register. Rude unprofessional and the worst customer service I've ever had at a dive bar . Do not recommend. read more

This place is severely average. There's nothing special about it and it's really expensive. It's a good place to hang out with friends because of the cheery atmosphere, but I definitely wouldn't choose to come here again. It's just overpriced american food "with a twist" and the twist is like adding avocado or something. read more

Nahhh this place ain't it. I got the Dana Breakfast Burrito (which they need to change the name of because there's way better breakfast burritos in DP) and a drip coffee. Nice that the drip was easily accessible and could get multiple cups, however the burrito had cold Pico de Gallo in a hot breakfast burrito, served with a couple Tapatio hot sauce packets. WOW was it bad, and yes I ate every bite crunching into the cold red onions with hot flavorless scrambled eggs. Honestly the Tapatio made everything tolerable. Bacon cooked 3 hours ago at beginning of opening, I could easily tell, along with the taste of multiple types of food from glove contamination. Place is so fake mainstream, people think they can just grab a spot with a a beautiful patio and upscale clientele location, whilst sticking low execution into food I would only come back to drink beer and tip well, and I did see some people on their computer smashing brews at 10am on a Friday so there's a half hope this place has charm, besides that, breakfast is a BUST. read more

This eatery has become a favorite! From its food to beverages I'd say kudos PS for the superb food. The Hobie Bowl is sensational. Lots of greens and good stuff underneath. The Cauliflower dish is amazing too! The Spanish Latte is fantastic and the cappuccino is bold which I really love. Will definitely come back to this vibrant eatery corner! read more

I love this place but unfortunately they're the most non dog friendly place in South Orange County. They have the largest outdoor patio but only allow 3 tables in the far right corner for dogs? 80% of the restaurant is outdoors yet they still give you the most hassle about your dog at this location. I've been to countless places all over South Orange County and they give you the most hassle about your dog being outdoors then any other restaurant I've been to.. it's kind of crazy. I can understand if your dogs aren't allowed under the covered patio or inside, but most of the restaurant even by the fire pit that's is not covered and yet you can't have dogs over there? It makes no sense. I think the owner just straight up hate dogs. Be mindful if you have a dog coming to this location because they will give you more hassle than any other place I've ever been to. read more

Do not really think you should label yourself as "dog friendly" if you offer very limited space where dogs are "allowed". Even on a Tuesday when there is barely anyone in the outdoor portion of the restaurant. Would not come here if you are looking for a dog friendly establishment. Drinks were nice. Would've stayed for more if they were more accepting/ accommodating. read more

I bought two lattes and the price said $5.00 each. I was charged $5.50 each. When I asked the cashier he said no I charged you appropriately. I printed the receipt and sure enough I was overcharged. I went and pointed it out and he acted like he did not know. This was 1/18 @ 10:00am. CA law you have to go by the price posted. Price gouging! read more

Yeah, unfortunately, a nice night out didn't end well. The food was ok. I enjoyed my drink. I was there with a large group of ten. We had just finished a long day working at the resort down the street. We were celebrating. Around 8:15, the waitress comes over and with extreme rudeness says "we've been closed for 15 minutes now!" We apologized and said that we thought it closed at 10. She stayed with her rudeness and exclaimed, "Not on Sundays!" Damn. Talk about a crappy ending to a nice night. read more

Booze is booze. Food is fair at best and that's a stretch. For the waitstaff, the most rude collection of individuals I've ever come in contact with. Do you wanna know how to improve... Start over. Rethink everything. I don't need to be treated like I'm doing a favor by eating there. From the person taking money at the register to the people who serve the average food. I'm a local and almost everybody I talk to feels the same. Example; I ordered my coffee 15 minutes ago and asked a waiter serving others where my coffee was. He looked at me and said "that's not my job". You gotta be kidding me. One in many experiences. read more

Project Social is a great place to hang out and have a drink, or food, or some morning caffeine. The atmosphere varies depending on the time you go. I've been here at 8am and 8pm, and both times are fun! The chai was surprisingly very tasty, and the breakfast food was pretty good too! They have a bunch of beers (most are on the hoppier side), and also a decent wine selection. Overall, I'm a fan! read more

This is such a great place to meet friends or just come for happy hour. The patio has fire pits and lots of seating.

Great atmosphere, which, in addition to the location and setup, is made by the staff. The owner obviously knows what he/she is doing by employing a strong team. Mina (sp?) and Kim are amazing ambassadors. read more

A wonderful place to hang out and relax. Sit outside! They play really cool music- stick figure, iration, etc. The food is really good and the beers are craft and reasonably priced. Really cute spot here in Dana point. I absolutely love their outdoor space, the inside is great as well. Friendly, laid back service. I tried the Hobie bowl today and I would give it a 4/5. It was fresh, and tasted good... I just felt like it was missing a little something. Maybe a squeeze of lemon at the end? Maybe some pistachios or toasted almonds? Fresh Basil?... I'm not sure... But I feel like one special ingredient could've elevated this bowl to a five star menu item. I also appreciated the portion size. I feel like it was fairly priced. I would definitely eat here again... As it seems like it had a great vibe. read more

Surprisingly good Dana burrito for the price in this area. I would totally come back for a dine in experience. My family and I came here for the first time on Mother's Day for a wonderful lunch. Service was friendly, food was tasty, vibes were high. Loved the ample outdoor seating. We tried a ton of items. From the tomato bisque to the Dana Wharf tuna sandwich, the Strand fried chicken sandwich, the Hobie chicken bowl, and the tots plus beers and an iced latte. Everyone enjoyed everything we got. My husband and I had such a good experience that we came the following weekend (today) to try the breakfast items. My OC zest brioche French toast was on point, and his Henry breakfast plate was filling and yummy. We are now planning on coming back to take his dad when he visits us in our new neighborhood. Safe to say, we have had nothing but positive meals here and will continue coming back. :) read more

We had a group with a pup! Plenty of outdoor seating but they have a rule about the pups only being able to sit on the outside rim. Half the food came within 10/15 min but then the other half took a min - not sure what happened but the staff were nice and apologized. Love the vibe - casual. Order first, then sit down. There aren't enough good things to say about this place! The selection of drafts is always broad, the cleanliness is superb, the staff is attentive and knowledgeable about drinks. Zack, a manger here always has a smile on his face and shares what new kegs they've got coming or shares fun events they're hosting. The only down side is dogs are not allowed inside or on the patio. But you can sit on the cute love seat in the front. read more

Staff is super nice here! The restaurant has an indoor/outdoor vibe with fire pits and heaters on the patio. There's a huge selection of beers and seltzers with some of them from local breweries. We ordered the loaded tots which were delicious!! Everything you could want in tots, crispy taters, caramelized onion, melted cheese and a secret sauce. Could have made this a meal in itself. On mondays they have burger monday which was a Reuben as the special. Also super tasty, just the marble bread was a little dry. Super cute place to try and I can see why the locals love it. read more

I had the fried chicken sandwich the Strand, and it was exceptional. The chicken was cooked perfectly the coleslaw was delicious and the sauce a perfect compliment. She had the brisket grilled cheese which is another really good choice. The place is very cute. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Wide assortment of craft beers. Nice location but it is totally ruined by the fact that they let seems like every kid in the neighborhood run rampant through their restaurant, lay on their couches with their shoes on the ground...like they are home, etc. One kid almost knocked over my mother without a word of apology from the kid or the parents. My New FAVORITE spot!!! Ladies and gentlemen this neighborhood spotis a GEM ! I think this may just be my new favorite spot!!! Walk in, order, get your drink, sit and relax!!! The resturant has a very unique indoor outdoor style, much thought has gone into the design and feel to give its guests a truly enjoyable ambiance with amazing food and drinks. Order and ambiance experience: We came in ordered with Joey who was extremely friendly, got our michalada's on the spot, found a seat in the garden and instantaneously I said "I love this place". The garden has beautiful olive trees, with twinkly lights that glow at night, towards the back on the harder on one side there is a small water-fountain that creates a lovely water sound and directly across from the fountain you'll find the fire pit (whose doesn't like a fire pit!). Food experience : We ordered two different burgers (Downey and Salt Creek) and the hummus. Both burgers were absolutely delicious! The brioche bun and meat literally melts as you bite into it. I woke up this morning thinking about the Doheny burger with caramelized onions (don't judge me) ! The hummus was very flavorful. I appreciated the fact that they didn't just slap it on a plate. There was a beautiful presentation that came with it. You can tell they use all fresh good quality ingredients read more

This place is great, HOWEVER, it used to be very dog friendly, and while they still advertise that they are "dog friendly" that is no longer the case. They have a very large outdoor patio and use the "health code violation" to create an arbitrary line to corner off dog owners, leaving only a handful of tables and picnic tables that are basically on the street. In addition, the patio is well heated but the "dog area" is cold, overlooked by the waiting staff so constantly full of dirty dishes and hard to find an open spot. They should allow the entire outdoor patio area to be pet friendly, or a much more reasonable heated section for dog owners, until that time, I will limit my time at this restaurant and maintain my 2 star rating. The food and beer are very good, just unfortunate policy change regarding pets. read more
