We started when they were in 7th grade, and at that time, their math skills were at a pre-algebra level while most of their friends were at a higher level. Their math teacher noticed that both of my daughters were performing above their current math level and moved them up a level. Yay! Long story short, they both achieved SAT scores of 1490 and 1520. They were accepted to both Purdue and UIUC. One is for engineering and the other for chemistry. This is significant considering many smart kids were reportedly rejected this year. Kudos to Colin, who was terrific in helping both of my daughters improve their reading/writing scores. C2 also assisted with college essays. They are flexible with rescheduling; sometimes, I felt bad for rescheduling almost every week, but high school kids are busy with extracurricular activities.

I took a PMP exam prep class from Project Management Academy the week of 8/31/15 at the Rolling…read moreMeadows location. It is very difficult to choose a PMP prep class online, not knowing much about the teacher you will receive, the quality of the teacher, language issues, etc. I had previously taken non-PMP classes from other providers and had been disappointed that our training materials were clearly written by someone whose first language was not English, and I had to struggle to understand the instructor through his accent. I ultimately went with PMA because of the price of the class was reasonable & there was a solid pass guarantee. Our teacher Asad is from the UK and had a very cool British accent that made him sound very knowledgeable. In truth, he WAS very knowledgeable about the exam and how to best prepare. This course was geared towards passing the PMP. If you are looking for a class on how to be a good project manager, do not look for a PMP prep class. This class is preparing you for success on your PMP exam. What I liked best: the laminated study guides, the online mock exams, the study skills booklet, and Asad's ability to walk us through the common tricks on the exam and how to avoid them. Asad was able to highlight areas of the course that are heavily tested, areas that aren't heavily tested, etc. He explained the course material extremely well. It was easy to understand. The manual was very well-written & well-organized. Practice questions followed every chapter. By the time I completed the course, I am sure I could have passed the exam the next day. However, PMA recommends waiting 1-3 weeks after completion of the course to provide extra studying test. I took another 10 days and studied hard during that time. The mock exams on PMA's website were very useful & gave great practice with the types of test questions and what to expect. They also gave me complete confidence walking into the exam that I would pass. So far everyone from our class who has taken the exam has passed. This is a testament to the great preparation from PMA and Asad. I highly recommend Project Management Academy to anyone seeking their PMP certification.

I'd give zero stars if I could…read more When we first started looking for a nanny for our kids, 4 years and 5 months old, stability was our top priority. We had a long chat with Linda from Jovie about this, and I honestly thought we were on the same page. We trusted them to find us a nanny who would be with us long term. Here's what happened. Our nanny, who was fantastic and really clicked with our kids, ended up leaving for another job Jovie showed her only after being with us for 11 weeks. Once we found out we spoke with our nanny and she said she loved our family, in fact she told us it was a difficult decision to make and she would love to come back if we needed her for date night,etc. This new position Jovie showed her had a schedule that better fit her needs. What's unprofessional is that Jovie didn't give us a heads up until the day before she was set to leave, though they knew about it four days earlier. That hit us hard because it was unexpected, and it put us in a bind trying to figure out what to do next. Two replacements were offered. One with limited experience, her qualifications showed she had only 1 day of infant training. The other replacement we weren't shown a resume because she had not completed orientation. We were not interested in these two options. We were very clear we wanted long term care and ultimately this internal transfer our nanny made hurt our children's wellbeing. And seeing our 4-year-old so upset and confused about why his nanny just disappeared has been the hardest part. Our family trusted Jovie and they let us down and most importantly let our children down. I'm not one to complain, but I feel I have to be straight with other parents out there. Based on what we went through, if you're looking for dependable, long-term childcare, you might want to think twice about Jovie. It's a tough lesson we learned about the difference between what a company promises and what they actually deliver. Shame on Jovie and Linda for putting our kids and family through this emotional situation.
