We've been regulars for a while but first time posting a review. We generally go on Thursday nights when burgers are half off (basically if you only get water to drink, then you're getting two meals under 20$ before tip. That's pretty solid). We met up with some friends about 6pm, it was pretty busy, but it's usually like post work people at the bar enjoying and camaraderie. We sat in the covered patio area, after grabbing some menus from the bar. For those new to this, you order your food at the bar if you're not eating right at the bar. The folks here that work are super kind, and I see the same two every time I come in so it's pretty consistent. The four of us ordered some drinks, burgers and a specialty flavored basket of wings. It came out pretty quickly for how busy it was. We all demolished our food, and spent a good two hours there just chatting and catching up. I'm a creature of habit and got the black and blue burger with fries. I also got the cider. My boyfriend got the prohibition signature burger with tots, and the seasonal Pumpking beer. We got the chili garlic wings and those were solid. Drowned in sauce and crispy. Our friends got the Bern burger with tots and the prohibition signature turkey burger with onion rings. They got a beer and a Cabernet respectively. I really enjoyed my cider and they enjoyed their drinks. The burgers were on point as always, and I enjoy my fries with vinegar and ketchup. Onion rings and tots were nice and crispy without being greasy. No complaints at all here. Will be back soon. read more

We went on taco Tuesday and to my surprise the tacos were delicious and only $3 each. I also ordered the Cajun honey butter wings, which were perfectly crispy and full of flavor. Someone at the table ordered tater tots, and they were outstanding--crispy without being greasy, just the way tots should be. The only downside was the service. It seemed like there was only one server handling the entire place, so we weren't checked on for refills and had to track her down just to get and pay our bill. Overall, the food was excellent, but the service could definitely use improvement. read more

Service was just okay- didn't feel very welcomed and had to flag someone down for a takeout order. There was no hostess or greeter when you walk in so it was a bit confusing. The bar was definitely packed on a Friday evening so that was a good sign. I think all of the food looks good so I'd be willing to come back and try something else. For today's visit I had a fish fry for take out and it was good! 4/5 on the food and the fish seemed a bit small but all of the flavors were really good. I loved that it comes with all 3 sides (Mac salad, potato salad, and coleslaw) plus fries and bread. Definitely a lot of food and it was about $20. I really wanted to love to the Prohibition 2020 experience, but it was underwhelming at best. The ambiance is great, but it took well over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken, but it lacked the heat and flavor I was looking for. Others in my group had the nachos, which were bland and got soggy before they were halfway through. That said, the service was exceptional--our waitress was attentive and brought drink refills without us even having to ask. TL, DR: it's great for atmosphere, service, and drinks. Went for a drink and a bite to eat on a Thursday night. The food special was any burger on the menu $7 which I think is a great deal !!! They did also have karaoke which I am not a fan of but I know a lot of people are. The guy doing it was good and was having a lot of people going up to do it!!! It was pretty crowded and parking was terrible. I was in an area which I was struggling to get out without worrying I was going to hit someone. Service was only at the bar no one was walking around taking orders. After you finally get served at the bar they take note of where you are sitting and bring out the food when it's ready. Well I guess the lady couldn't find me when my food was done and I had to go up and ask it was ready and it was. It was sitting behind the bar on the counter getting cold. We decided to try since we were out that way. My son highly recommended the wings. When we arrived it was not busy at all and loved that we didn't have to wait for a table since it was 530. We perused the menu but order our drinks right away. Easy peasy wine and the Watermelon margerita special. It took about 5-7 minutes to get our drinks and we were just waiting to place our order. We ordered 10 wings to share, an order of stuffed peppers and each of us ordered a flatbread. As we waited for our order, we were the only table waiting for our order as all other tables had their food, we noticed someone came in and placed an order to go about 15 minutes after we placed our order. 15 minutes later, the to go order was ready and we were still without food. The waitress finally came over and asked if we needed our drinks refilled and that they were working on our food now as they had to work on the to go order. Not sure why our food was not started, but about 45 minutes after we placed our food order the food finally came out. I would have expected this if it was busy, but it was not busy at all. So on to the food...this is why they received a 4. Wings were probably one of the best in the area. We had honey bourbon and they were cooked perfectly. Very saucy and flavorful but still crunchy to eat. Stuffed pepper were so good and full and cheesy. Flat breads were very good, but my white flatbread was a little cold. But when I reheated at home it was very good. Food has a lot of flavor and cooked really well. Service and wait times did not get them a 5 star. I think if we were given updates on what happened with the order or even something off our bill for the wait, would have been appreciated. We would have been better taking it to go. We would have gotten our food quicker. I would go again just for the food. It was excellent!!! read more

We stopped for an easy Friday night dinner and decided to try the prohibition dip sandwich and bourbon burger. It was our first time trying menu items besides wings and we were not disappointed. The dip sandwich had a nice portion of tender beef and the au jus was very reduced and bursting with flavor. The burger was a nice size, had a tasty sauce, plenty of crispy bacon and was cooked medium as we requested it. I am told the fries were very good, and fresh cut which is a plus. I got a side salad and it was fresh and fine. It usually comes with more toppings but I cut them out due to dietary restrictions. Service at the tables is always very good. Servers are helpful and pleasant. There was also a pretty good band playing which was a nice way to end the week. Apparently the band has quite a following so the crowd added some fun people watching to the casual vibe of locals. We have been several times before but we usually come for Wednesday wing night. Wings are always hot, juicy and crispy. Tons of sauces and flavors to choose from. There are specials almost every night here as and they offer a small discount to pay with cash. If you are in the area and want to check out a casual bar with good bar food this is a good place to try. read more

We stopped at Prohibition for $7 burger night, and they just happened to have Christmas karaoke going on. We've never eaten here before, so we only ordered one beef on weck burger and tater tots. We ordered medium rare, and it came out well done with a side of hand cut fries, not tots. They were busy so we didn't complain and just ate it. The burger was decent. It had Swiss cheese and a creamy horseradish sauce on it with a kimmelweck roll. The roll was good, and I did like the flavors, but the burger was a bit dry due to it being well done. The hand cut fries were great, although I really wanted tots. It's a nice little bar, but be prepared to hear a LOT of country music. We played a few songs on Touchtunes (juke box) just to change things up a bit. read more

Great place to grab a bite and have a beer. We stopped in on a Wednesday for Wing night (.50/each). We had a table of six, so we ordered several different flavors - Prohibition style (empty container in photo), bbq, medium, salt and vinegar and garlic parm. They were all pretty good, with salt and vinegar being my least favorite. I also ordered a roast beef (no weck for me). It was good, but was constructed of very small pieces of beef, almost like it was shaved instead of sliced. Would definitely come back here in the future, especially for wing night. Service can be a little slow since it's the bar staff who takes care of the tables most of the time. Don't go expecting to be 'in and out'. read more

I had never been here, but the rest of our party of six were already familiar with the place. Unfortunately, on the day of our visit there was a giant thunderstorm, so patio seating was out. The bar area has a typical tavern vibe. Got a kick out of seeing that everyone sitting at the bar was male and everyone at the tables was female. I was thrilled to be able to have a side of tater tots with my grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. Such a simple sandwich, but I've had some lousy ones in my day - too greasy, not toasty enough, skimpy on the cheese, etc. But this one really hit the spot. Awesome lunch. Everyone enjoyed various burgers and sandwiches, and one member of our party was very happy that a caesar salad was an option for her side. Our only glitch was the french onion soup. So salty it was inedible. But our server didn't miss a beat. She apologized and immediately said it would be taken off their bills. I hope to never leave another review like this, and I think 1 star is too good for the service I got. The waitress / bartender was nasty, the food wasn't warm (room temp), my wine had suds in it (probably from soap residue in the glass), and it wasn't that busy but it took over an hour to get our food. Side note: I asked the waitress what the soup of the day was, and was told it was in the little black book in front of me. I looked and guess what it said - "ask your server about the soup of the day". I asked again and she rattled it off and seemed very annoyed. read more

Stopped in yesterday to grab a beer & something to eat with a friend. First beer (Bottle) was warm, so we switched to draft, which was much colder & enjoyable. The Chicken Fingers & Fry's that I ordered turned out to be almost inedible. My friends Steak sandwich was ordered medium, came well-done. The Fingers & Fry's were so burnt that the middle of the Fry's were completely oil saturated. The Fingers had a burnt taste. I've been to Prohibition many times & I believe it's going down hill. The bartender had not only a 80% full bar to take care of but also tables inside & out. Because of this, the Service was subpar & table condiment containers were filthy. We decided to stop by for dinner after seeing how busy it always looks. The food was amazing and their monthly cocktail specials were super tasty. The wings were very juicy and the sauces were original and very good. The burger was THICCCCC and the fries that came with it were phenomenal. The fries reminded me of the ones you get at the fair (you know the ones...) So good. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was very nice and super attentive. Our drinks were constantly full, and our cocktails were summery and just what we were looking for after a long day of yard work. The only thing I didn't really like was the French onion soup - it was mostly bread (I still devoured it though.) Overall - great wings, great atmosphere, and great drinks. We left happy and full. Sat down in the bar area and I watched every single table get served and we just sat there and waited for the table to get some sort of recognition we just sat down at. Just got up and left . Don't recommend going into this place to eat if you're not even going to get menus within the first few minutes of being there. read more

We have passed by so many times on our way to Hamburg and finally stopped in to check it out and so glad we did! We enjoyed everything we ordered and plan to return because we saw other items we would like to try. I'm keeping my rating at 4 stars because the Tuesday Mexican specials are great, and the Thursday burger special is an awesome deal. We finally made it for the Wednesday 45 cent wing special. There are a lot of upcharges, which is typical for wing specials, and you do have to buy a drink. That is completely fair for these low wing prices. It is a great deal. However, I found the wings to have an overly salty flavor, perhaps they were soaked in a salt brine? Not sure, but we ordered the hot Buffalo style, and the sauce was good with moderate heat but the wings just had this salty bite that I wasn't keen on. Also, I think we received 7 flats and 3 drums. OK with me, but my wife prefers the drums. The bar staff works their butts off, but it gets busy so you may have to flag them for attention, but nobody is loafing. We'll definitely be returning but not for the wings. read more

I think they changed the cook or something. All the other times I've had food delivered it was really good. My chicken sandwich is dry and burned and since they serve real cut French fries I thought the sweet potato fries would be fresh too but they are really greasy tasting frozen waffle fries. I usually don't write reviews but I doubt the bartender who hung up on me mid sentence when I called to make sure my order was right would care. However, unlike the underground speakeasys from this restaurant's 18th Amendment namesake, Prohibition is anything but "hidden". Popping out of the otherwise barren parking lot normally only visited on game days, Prohibition is just a stone's throw from the house that Ralph built (and that Josh is about to decorate). All the allure of proximity to football glory aside, Prohibition also makes a killer chicken wing and pours a mean Old Fashioned. Also, great engagement from the wait staff who were working hard to control their excitement over having wing influencers in the house! Sauce: 4 / 5 The signature Prohibition sauce, which we learned was a mixture of standard medium with blue cheese, was simply amazing -- creamy and savory all at once. At this point in the tour, there was universal agreement that this may have been the best flavor yet! The standard medium lacked the same standout quality but was definitely "good" and the alternative flavors we ordered (varieties of BBQ and Cajun) were simply "okay". Meat 4.5 / 5 Nailed this one. Good sized wings, consistent and a healthy mix of drums and flats. Most importantly, no gross oddballs or protruding, meatless bones. Cook: 5 / 5 Perfectly done. A nice crisp on the outside with no dryness and a perfectly even sauce application. Great juiciness and a perfect temperature. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of tvs. Just recently opened under a new name which I think is better for marketing. They have several chicken wing sauce options and many different blue cheeses (like garlic flavored). Lots of burgers, sandwiches and finger food! When my husband and I visited prohibition in 2020, we did not have the best day. My husband had a long day at work from six in the morning to 10 p.m., and we still hadn't had dinner. I was so disappointed to see that not a lot of bars and restaurants were open late at night until I came across prohibition 2020. We live very close to this bar and have only tried it a few times, and when it's late at night, that is a huge plus. When my husband and I walked in we were confused on what we had to do to sit down. There was no one to greet us nor a sign that said please seat yourself or please wait to be seated until we made eye contact with one of the bartenders, and he told us to take a seat anywhere. at first we picked a table out on their outside patio but it was a little too cold for us thankfully our waitress was so accommodating that we were allowed to move inside. we first ordered beers Michelob ultr, but we're a little disappointed that they only had it on draft and not on bottles. howeve, it was still very delicious and needed after the day we had. my husband and I ordered the burger. I had the classic burger with bacon, and he had the cowboy burger. I don't say this very often, but these had to be the best burgers we've ever had. Mine was perfectly cooked medium well and was very juicy and tender. The toppings were very fresh. Nothing felt like it sat out. The vegetables were also very fresh and crisp. I got tater tots as my side and they were perfectly crispy not too greasy and seasoned to perfection. I could not stop eating them. howeve, my husband's cowboy burger was not cooked to his desired temperature, so he did have to send it back, but once he did receive a new burger, it was fantastic. Our waitress was very kind, accommodating, and patient since we were not in the best mood when we arrived at the restaurant. she indeed made our day much better. 45 cent chicken wings?! Omg my family and I went on a Wednesday and had .45 cent wings. The tables are first come first serve so we did have to wait a little while for a table. Stopped out for some late evening wings and some beverages on their patio. It's mostly enclosed with two flaps open to satisfy heath dept regulations. First off it was pretty warm! You could always bring a blanket or layer up if you're worried but there are multiple heaters. We opted for a triple order of wings 1/2 hot and 1/2 wet cajun. They came out piping hot and cooked and sauced just right. This place is worth checking out for patio during this code orange, but maybe call ahead if you'd like to guarantee a table. I ordered the chili lime wings (dry rub) and my friend ordered the Prohibition style wings, which is hot sauce and blue cheese mixed together. In addition, we ordered fries as a side.Our order took over 50 minutes to come out. When it did, the fries were cold and dry. They tasted like they were dipped in the fryer twice because they were left out and got cold. My chili lime wings were laughable. They were plan. Absolutely no flavoring at all. Let's start with the location. This place could not be closer to Bills stadium, I can only imagine how busy it must get on game days--luckily we came off season. The seating was good--there is a bar area, and two outdoor areas with tables as well. Service was quick and friendly. Our waitress was attentive and all the food came out nice and hot. We got fries, mozzarella sticks, and wings--and each of us got a drink. The fries were rustic and well seasoned. The mozzarella sticks were standard--but the kind I liked, so great. Finally the wings--perfectly crispy. We struggle to find a place that will cook wings how we love them and these were just so good. We ordered honey garlic and honey butter Cajun--we ended up with garlic parm in place of the honey garlic, and honestly I wasn't even mad. They were good. The waitress brought out a side of the honey garlic sauce and we were both very happy. The value was excellent--we will return. read more

I have eaten here almost weekly for about 4 months in an attempt to support a new local business. Bartenders have all been friendly and welcoming. The weekly specials have kept me coming back and everything has been phenomenal. I had corned beef and Cabbage, homemade Reuben egg rolls, crab Rangoon rolls, prohibition dip, many of the wing flavors, etc... Everything has been superb. It's nice to have a nice new place to go.
