This may be the worst dental office I have ever utilized. They do not provide any detailed billing. They send a text informing you of the amount you owe with no explanations. They perform, in my opinion, unnecessary procedures and the front office staff is unprofessional. They will schedule appointments at 9:00 but they don't open until 9:00 so you are left waiting until they finish up their morning meeting. So your 9:00 o'clock appointment doesn't start until 9:30. Make it make sense. I would not recommend this practice to my worst enemy. read more

I wish I could give this location zero stars because they don't deserve not one. They are very unprofessional and the receptionist is the worse. They called me in, left work early for a simple cleaning. When I get in they will not clean my teeth as stated and trying to make me get a $500 plan that I don't need. There isn't even a dentist here to do the procedure if I chose it. Waste of time. Only come here if you enjoy wasting money and time. So much for trying to support a black owned business. I want to start off by saying the actual dentist in this office are top tier! However, at one of my visits I over heard one of the staff members talking about me to another patient. The front desk staff on average are rude, they always sound like you're inconveniencing them. If you have insurance, make sure you do your own research. I was told that my insurance wouldn't cover a certain procedure and I trusted that they were telling me the truth. $800 and a phone call later I found out my insurance actually covered half of the procedure. I wish my experience was better because at first I was very excited to have an all black female staff but now I am back at square one searching for another dentist. read more

I called Humana to confirm that my coverage would pay for dentures with 0 out of pocket and was assured that I was covered 100%. I then had them find me an in network dental service AND call them first to make sure that they were in network and that I would be covered. Humana recommended to me Progressive Dental Group (770) 593-4976 · 2485 Park Central Blvd Ste 3 Decatur, GA 30035. I called them and explained that I was with Humana and that they told me that I could get dentures with no out of pocket with my plan. Progressive made me an appointment. When I got there instead of telling me that my dentures would not be fully covered and that they wanted an additional $400 to do them they gave me an exam AND an xray. They could have told me on the phone before I wasted a long trip down there or they could have told me when I arrived since I was very clear with them why I had come. So now my insurance will be paying them for an exam and an xray that I did not need. They said this had happened with Humana before. So WHY did they proceed knowing full well that my dentures would not be fully covered? I also plan to file a complaint against Humana with the insurance commission. read more

My husband went for his routine cleaning and made his follow up appointment for the next steps of treatment and they canceled the appointment! I am furious! He has taken off of work for this appointment. This office does not care about people's time or money. I used to live in San Diego, CA where black people aren't really pro dominant as we are out here in Georgia. I got my molar pulled out on my left side around 7 years ago, I had the worse experience so today coming in to get my right molar tooth pulled out, I was SOOOOOOOO scared. Dr. Edi and Erica, assured me everything will be okay and I won't feel anything and they did just that. I'm so shocked by the different care level I experienced. The staff here is always Amazing! I have a little anxiety whenever I go to the dentist. I had one dentist that I got used to and I would fly from wherever I lived back to Atlanta to see her. Well she closed her practice and referred me to Progressive Dental Group. I was nervous as heck but healthy teeth are a priority. I met the staff and they are so professional. Each time I go I never have to worry about who's cleaning my teeth or will it hurt. I have been going now for about 3 years and never been hurt. I have had a couple of crowns and several cleanings. The doctors always have a personal touch. We talk through any procedures and if they feel something didn't go well they will do it over. I have experience that first hand with no charge. This staff is AMAZING! From the front to the back! Amazing customer service and even better personalities! I am terrified of the dentist I faint or bite almost always, and I didn't do either here! I had a really painful tooth removed, and a dental flap made. Not only were they efficient with my treatment, but they explain the plan, and reassured me I wouldn't feel that much pain besides a poke. It was a breeze. Even down to my cleaning. I have a permanent retainer from braces in grade school. She hand cleaned my entire mouth, and was gentle around that area even though plaque builds up a lot there. I just knew I would faint when they had to numb my mouth with needles, but she was so gentle I didn't even know she did it. YALL THESE WOMEN ARE THE BEEZZZ KNEEEZZZZZ! Also their prices are affordable, but that wasn't my focus really. My focus is always not to bite or faint!! I HATEEEEEEEEE THE DENTIST, but I love these people! I have a $50 annual deductible...After my procedure I was charged $108...I really didn't think anything about them overcharging me until much later... I needed to find a dentist close to home, so I did a Yelp search and Progressive showed up and had (2) quality 5-Star reviews. I am big on reviews and the quality of the review. I was so impressed that I immediately made an appointment via the online scheduler. I was called shortly after that and my appointment was confirmed and initial paperwork emailed. I arrived a little early and was greeted by name, with this being my first time there, I was impressed. I was called back and Angel greeted me with a smile and took great care of me during the x-ray phase and made sure I was comfortable. Then, Joyce, the dental hygienist, came in and did her best to make me feel good even though I knew that I needed to do a better job of flossing and brushing. Finally, Dr. Eady came in and gave me a look over and took care of some minor dental work I needed and I was out the door! I am extremely pleased with this office and have found my family dentist! I didn't get the receptionists name, but she was also very pleasant and friendly. After leaving such an amazingly talented and friendly dentist in Sacramento, CA. I needed to find a new dental home. I came across Progressive Dental Group through my insurance. I decided to give them a try in December 2016. The doctors are so very friendly and have such a great approach to their patients. My first cleaning was done by one of the sweetest hygienist who kept a smile on her face. So now my 2nd cleaning this month came and they are still the same great group of providers. Outstanding attitude towards patients and all around cohesive group. What really made me decide that this is now my new dental home, was the principle of their staff and doctors working relationship.
