I received no call from them informing me I should or could reschedule my mom's appt due to the broken machine. I was actually told during the visit by Dr. Hong, I could reschedule my appt the following week when the new machine arrived. That way everything could be done all in one visit. I asked if my mom's dentures could be shipped so I wouldn't have to take an additional day off work but nope, they don't ship dentures. So now I have to take an additional day off work the following week just to pick my mom's dentures up. The affordability and the fact the staff were really nice are the only things that saved me from giving this place a 1 star review.

Unfortunately, it is the result of ongoing issues with the back-office billing process under the current office management. Due to repeated billing negligence, I was forced to pay over $600 out of pocket, ultimately including payment to a collection agency for charges that should have been properly handled and reconciled by the office. Today, when I contacted the office to have my account reviewed after resolving the collection, I was placed on hold for over an hour without resolution. After nearly two decades of loyalty, this level of billing mismanagement and lack of responsiveness is unacceptable. Patients should not bear financial consequences due to administrative errors, nor should they have to expend excessive time attempting to correct them. As a result, I will be transitioning myself and my family to a dental practice that demonstrates greater accountability and appreciation for its patients.

On 1/28, the receptionist called asking if I could come in sooner. I explained that I preferred a specific time of day, which was only available on 2/5. She said no problem and confirmed she would see me on 2/5. On 2/4, I received a call that I assumed was a routine reminder. Instead, the front desk informed me they could not see me because they *do not accept my insurance*. I was told I could pay out of pocket if I still wanted to proceed. I was beyond frustrated. I asked why this wasn't communicated sooner -- especially since I provided my insurance information nearly **two weeks in advance** during registration. The explanation I received was that they're "busy" and sometimes this happens. That response was extremely nonchalant and dismissive. What makes this worse is that they had already called me once to move my appointment earlier -- yet somehow my insurance was never verified until the day before my scheduled visit. If insurance information is required during online booking, it should be reviewed in a timely manner. Patients plan their schedules around appointments. Waiting until the day before to say, "We don't take your insurance, but you can pay out of pocket," is unacceptable and unprofessional. I pay for insurance for a reason. I had every intention of supporting this local African American husband-and-wife practice, but this experience was disappointing and disturbing. This doctor is not hands-on, you can be 10 minutes late and after that they charge a late fee and reschedule. We have been at this establishment had had to wait and hour, to an hour and 15 minutes to be seen. As a result, they should pay me $35 because they are late. Time is money and money is time. This place is not a GREAT PLACE TO HAVE YOUR SERVICES DONE. And to top it all off, they will say that braces are coming off in a month and then the month comes and they will say, maybe another month or two. As a professional, you should absolutely know what's to anticipate with the care of someone if you have done this for a while. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. DO NOT SEND ANYONE HERE.
