The good is that the dentist is amazing, professional, polite.. the bad is her staff.. it's a bunch of immature poor judgement disrespectful younger group of females that think they are able to speak to others anyway they choose because they have chosen to do business with the location where they work. They are untruthful vengeful and choose to allow their personal feelings override their professionalism. They feel it's okay to give attitude to patients spending their money and then in return when you match their energy on a adult level want to then try and label the patient and refuse service when in fact it was the staffs display of unruly sneaky behavior that caused the entire problem... fact of the matter, people can only pretend to be someone else with someone who doesn't actually know who they really are and will do anything to try and protect a false image... Normally I only review food places on Yelp but I had to warn people about this dentist office. They gave me a treatment planned after knowing my insurance didn't cover the service I needed (fill ins). The dentist of this practice counted cavities she "thought" I had b/c of the wiring that was still on (I have top braces). My total was $2,400+ & it didn't sit well with me something told me to go to another dentist. Went there turns out I only have 3 cavities & he suggested a crown. My total went from a $2400 to a little over $300. Watch them that's all I have to say. Glad I'm no longer a patient! I would upload both treatment plans but I'm going to leave it here. read more

Going to the dentist usually sucks but not anymore. I love this office! The colors and decor are so soothing and comforting, the staff is professional and friendly. I just get a warm, fuzzy feeling whenever I'm here. Dr. Carter is so pleasant to work with and she breaks everything down in real life terms so you can really be involved in the decision making process. Not only are there large flat screens at every station but they also have them on the ceiling so you can continue to watch when you're leaned back. This is a GREAT distraction. And to top it all off, the chairs have massage! Smile Envy is in the new Walmart plaza on Cleveland Ave. They're a great addition to this area which is primed for revitalization. Please go support!! Blush Dental is THE BEST dental office in town. I went for a cleaning and assessment of my cavity....they were great. Latrice was so gentle and thrurough with my teeth. The right side of my mouth is so sensitive to cold water but she took her time and let me know the whole time what she was doing. She was gentle and carrying...it didnt even hurt really !! Dr.Carter was so concerned about the discomfort I was having in my tooth and took time to explain exactly what was going on and what she suggested our course of treatment would be! Specifically sought out an African American dentist and was very disappointed. On my initial appointment I waited for hours in a room and ended up going home with a referral to have my wisdom teeth pulled. All I wanted was my teeth cleaned. I had a very bad feeling about the situation and never returned. This happended in 2018. So much time passed and pandemic I finally found another African American dentist 2022. He didn't mention anything about wisdom teeth needing to be pulled. I did my own research online and money hungry dentist that get kickbacks often tell you that you need unecessary treatments. I'm 36, I've lived in 3 states, and this is the best dentist I've had so far. The office is clean and decked out with TV's you can watch while getting worked on, staff is friendly, prices are relatively low, but the hands-down best part is the quality of care. I had bleeding gum and bone loss issues when I started here, partially due to negligent dentists I've worked with in the past. Dr. Carter set me up with a new treatment during my visits, which had to be increased to 4 times a year. She also recommended switching from Sonicare to a Spinbrush and Paradontax toothpaste. She mentioned she had called me several times and left several voicemails regarding confirming my appointment which was in fact a LIE!! She said she contacted me on yesterday (the day prior to my appointment) yet again another LIE!! I received a TEXT MESSAGE regarding my appointment which instructed me to "Please visit www.blushdentalstudio.com and select Complete Patient Forms. Please update patient forms to avoid your appt being rescheduled" and another one stating "BLUSH Dental Studio: Reply C or tap https://ib4.me/XboSQB1 to confirm Simone's appt on Apr 26 at 9:50 AM. Can't make it? Call (404) 445-6100 STOP=End msgs HELP=HelpI" which i followed both instructions as prompted yet the office CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT WITHOUT EVEN INFORMING ME IT WAS CANCELLED!!! The verbiage on the text message is misleading so it should be modified to state, "If you do not reply to this confirmation text your appointment will be cancelled" because it currently does not state any of that! THE AUDACITY OF A PERSON TO LIE DIRECTLY IN MY FACE IS ABSURD AND THEN SHE MENTIONED MY INSURANCE WAS TERMINATED WHICH I WAS AWARE OF BECAUSE I HAD NEW INSURANCE THAT I WAS BRINGING TO THE VISIT TO PROVIDE AS I HAVE A NEW EMPLOYER!! Ladies and Gents I just had my first appointment with Smile Envy Dental Studio, in the Wal-Mart complex. I had an amazing appointment. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed into their office. Everyone of the staff went out of their way to say hello. I love to laugh and joke around, those of you who know me can attest to that. We were cracking up at Judge Mablean on Justice for All. They took the time to let me know what all their office offered and how they work with payments. Finally when the cleaning started, I was watching the TV on the ceiling(I loved that touch), when the hygienist said "listen to it raining." I could hear it pouring then...BAM! Power went out, instantly we started laughing like we were in high school. We joked about worst case scenarios, and the pandemonium that surely had engulfed the Wal-Mart by now...HAHAHA We sat for another 25 minutes hoping it would come back on. I knew that they had other appointments and being that I live so close, I let them know I would come back another day. I had befriended the receptionist earlier when making my initial appointment, I asked her just to stuff me in any open appt, day and time didn't matter. They gave me my goodie bag, and I was on my way. The new businesses in the area Bond Market, Smile Envy, and Kafenio are raising the bar in the East Point/College Park and I am excited to give my business to them.
