Me and my kids have been living with feces for almost a month now and I just keep getting the run around when trying to get the issue resolved. the sewer line has backed up in my yard and in the bathroom.This is supposed to be an emergency issue but I guess not. I would post pictures of how we've been living so you can just imagine the smell but I won't do that but trust I have plenty. I have been paying for hotel stays as much as I can but it's costly and of course I still have to pay this $1660 in rent. There is never a supervisor to speak with and each person just blames the next! I have never in my life experienced anything like this. Never! I am trying my best to move but inventory is so low in Charlotte that this may make me leave the state all together! If I could do zero stars, I would. Do not rent with them. I have only been in the house for 2 weeks and it has been the most exhausting, messed up experience I have ever had. I have not rented in a long time, but I would rather buy/sell 30 houses in a month, than to rent from Progress, again. I still have 11 months to go... ugh. Very non-responsive, nobody ever answers the phone and difficult to contact anybody. I have work orders for 8 things called in. They were to be here a week ago, but the repair technician called in sick. Then, they were to be here yesterday, and didn't tell me until 2 hours into the window of his arrival, that he also called out, again. Now, we are scheduled for tomorrow. Not real confident it will happen. In the meantime, I have a tub leaking over 2 gallons of water a day, by dripping. I haven't been able to use my new dyer since moving in two weeks ago, because the outlet doesn't work. It just goes on and on. I am actually waiting for someone to pick up the phone now... have been waiting for 17 minutes and 39 seconds. I am trying to pay my rent and want to know how I can pay/set it up to pay, so that I am not paying a $35 convenience fee, to pay them my rent!!! It is always additional money for something. The entire process from application, security deposit, to paying pro-rated rent to the inspection process, to now trying to pay rent and get work orders completed, has been exhausting and complicated. The move in inspection was done by an agent and then they want you to sign it within 24 hours or forever hold your peace. Of course, they indicated nothing was wrong with the house. I did an inspection and noted 18 items that I submitted, but have not heard a word back from them. Stay away. I have now been on hold and nobody has answered for 21 minutes and 28 seconds. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Everything seemed all great and what not until move in. The realtor lied to us about many things. When we had the walk through many things we're broken including AC, microwave, our front door wouldn't shut all the way and we had red ants coming through the crack on our patio. They also forgot to switch the keys as well to the doors. We had to fight to get a new microwave. Apparently they thought it was acceptable for us to hold the microwave shut in order for it to work. Forget about calling these people for ANYTHING. I have been on hold a numerous amount of times for 2 hours. Eventually I hung up. The lack of communication is ridiculous as well. Do not tell me one thing over the phone and then another in person. Terrible customer service. read more

They only got a 1 star, because I couldn't write a review without giving one. Before I leased with them I read the reviews and chalked it up to "there will always be someone to complain". I foolishly rented from them. Save yourself time and money; stay far far away from them! I've been renting for 19 years and have NEVER found a company as bad as this one. I will explain what my story was (since it was very recent). When I was trying to find a place (back in March/April 2017) I found one of their homes, contacted them, went through the online application, even spoke with someone about the house because it was a coming soon house and having already been a day late on 7 houses the week before, I was trying to be proactive. They wouldn't let me see it because it wasn't ready. I happened to go by when they were working on it so I walked through and it was exactly what I needed, so I called before I left the driveway. I was told I had to wait for my application to go through. Then I was called and told I was approved; but when I got to the office to sign paperwork and give my deposits I found out the allowed another tenant to transfer to the house I wanted so I was approved for another (more expensive) one. So I chalked it up to bad timing and moved to the other house (that I had not seen). I walked through with the manager. The house was fine. The yard was already 2 week past when it should have been cut but it was still ok. I was updated on their tenant rules; tenants are essentially responsible for the entire care of the home, as if you owned it- pressure washing, filters, lawn, plumbing and hvac issues, etc. I moved in the next week. Unfortunately, I lost my job 2 weeks after moving in. Everything was fine until August. I notified them that I was going to be late on rent due to the way my new jobs payday fell and that I could pay 1/2 at that time. I'd also called them out on charging me utilities and $125 utility fee charge; even though utilities were in my name and I was paying them. April to August I had been double paying utilities (over $750 to Progress was paid for utilities I had already paid!). They kept trying to say I hadn't turned utilities over even though I provided utility company statements and account numbers... Come August... I was late for rent. I was told I would have to use some walk in payment system that was new. I went to Walmart to pay rent- 3 times on the weekend of the 5th. Walmart couldn't get it to work. I was told to come back Monday. I went back Monday and tried again 3 more times. Still wouldn't work. Called and spoke with Progress... they wouldn't take a phone or online pay and told me to keep trying as it was probably .01 cent off. Went to 3 different stores 14 times, the following week. They couldn't get it to work. I called Progress again (multiple times). One lady I spoken with assured me that as long as I got it paid by the 15th I was ok. Yet, they wouldn't take the payment! I spoke with 4 different people there and was given 4 different prices of what I owed. (ranging within a $400 difference)... this is most likely why Walmart couldn't get it to work. Every time I called the price I owed changed and if it's 1 cent off the payment won't go through. Then I got another lady on the phone who was very kind and sympathetic. She told me to overnight a check so it was there by Monday and everything would be ok. I had already been notified of pending eviction so I was panicked. I spent $45 to overnight a check with a printed email of what I owed. Monday afternoon I received a called from them that they got my payment but they don't accept checks and that I'd have to go to Walmart to make the payment. I was PISSED! Called back the next afternoon and transferred 3 times (again 3 different amounts due provided to me). As I was getting ready to head out to Walmart a Sheriff served eviction paperwork. So I didn't even attempt to go pay. I called again to try and make a payment over the phone or online. Nope! AND another amount due was given (4th in 1 day!!). I then made a call and asked what needed to be done to cancel our lease (30 days written notice AND 3 months rent + lose the deposit). I had then remembered that when I moved I was told that if I wanted to transfer houses I could do that at anytime. So I inquired about that. Turns out you can do that but you have to cancel the original lease and start a new one. It made more sense to let them evict me. When I went to court the lawyer provided me with yet another amount due! I had the $ to pay it but they were so screwy that I didn't even attempt it. read more

DO NOT rent from this company! If I could give this company negative 5 stars, I would. The move in process was quick and easy, but the moment we settled in things went downhill..and continue to go downhill. First, good luck getting in contact with anyone. They have zero communication. I was recently informed that they will be charging me for water/sewer, when I already pay through the city. I have called and sent out numerous emails within the last two weeks and have had zero response. Second, the quality of the home is not worth the price you will be paying. Within the first month of living here our stairs started falling apart. Again, sent numerous emails about it and never heard back. After that, the railing fell off while one of my kids were walking down the stairs... no response. We have numerous sinks in the house that have refused to drain since we moved in.. no response. When we first moved in and hooked up our washer, it flooded this smelly black water from it, the kitchen sink, and all bath tubs any time we turned water on. It took DAYS and SO many phone calls to finally get ahold of someone. HOWEVER, don't mow your lawn due to rain and you will get an e-mail about how your contract states maintaining your yard. I also lost my job due to COVID but was told regardless that rent needed to be paid on time or else there would be late charges. All they care about is money, not their people. read more

Maintenance is terrible, so much so that after six months of renting I can't remember any good experience with this company. Three times in the first six months of renting we have had leaks. One at a toilet, one at the hot water, and now a third at an unknown location. With the toilet we were told we just needed to let it dry out. Eventually they had to call in outside experts to replace the floor because half the bathroom floor was soaked under the laminate. Our toilet, which had been removed by Progress residential, then spent five days sitting in our back yard before they got around to reinstalling it. With the hot water heater the first technician just dried up the leak (that had wet the top of the heater and the concrete at the base of the hot water heater) and told us that it might have been left over from the people before us. We had been in the house almost two months at that point. On the third service request an actual plumber came out, discovered the water pressure regulator for the house was faulty, the overpressure tank on the hot water heater had failed, and the pressure relief valve on the hot water heater was not installed according to code since it did not have a drain line. The professionals fixed all of this within an hour after getting approval to do the work. Now, we have water leaking into our living room. We cut the water off to the house to try to save our property and limit the damage to the house, but instead of trying to find the leak and fix it we were told and have again been told that it "might just be a one-off" and to turn the water back on and to call back if it keeps happening. It's like they think the water leak will fix itself if they just close their eyes really tight and stick their fingers in their ears. Atrocious, would run away from any dealings with this company as fast as possible. read more

Progress Residential does not follow the law in North Carolina. In the lease they makes tenants pay for carpet cleaning when they move out. I was told by Progress that if I did not pay for the carpet cleaning and provide a receipt they would keep money from my security deposit. If you read the North Carolina security deposit laws they cannot do that -- "Ordinarily, costs for routine cleaning and maintenance (painting, carpet cleaning, etc.) may not be deducted from your security deposit. However, if you leave the property so filthy that unusual or extraordinary measures are necessary to clean or restore the premises, the landlord may deduct the cost of such cleaning from your security deposit." See the NC Real Estate Commission website for the full rules. So, I had my carpets cleaned and provided them with a receipt when I moved out. My move out inspection was 100% perfect and I was told during the pre-move out inspection, as well as the final inspection, that the place looked great. I was also told that I would get my full deposit back as long as I had paid all my rent (which I had done). I received my move out statement and there was a $300 charge for carpet cleaning that had been taken from my deposit. According to the lawyer I spoke to at the NC Real Estate Commission they cannot do that (it is free to call and talk to a lawyer there). They can try to bill you for it, but they cannot take charges for carpet cleaning out of your security deposit, but they did. This is not right! People need to be aware of this and educate yourself on the laws in your state. They are counting on you to be dumb so they can take money from you. I told them I knew they could not take money from my security deposit for carpet cleaning and I am getting my $300 back. Watch out for this company. They don't play fair. read more

I have been a customer of this agency for 3 yrs and their emergency response is the worst. I have been with out heating for 2 days on the colest days of winter. Also have had problems with the AC a few times the first time was 2 days without AC, now I have been without out AC for 5 days. I was not offered any resolution and they only had 1 company and that company is not able to come any time soon. I had complained to headquarters and local office and they have not offered anything else. This is just too much. The lack of urgency and understanding is not something that they seem to care too much about. I am angry at them is not human, but that's not going to stay like that. I applied for a property and was asked for more documentation, which I promptly submitted. Then I was notified of a "conditional approval". While waiting for information about what those conditions were, I received another email stating my application was denied. So that leaves me wondering which is it? I contacted Progress Residential and it was explained to me that I should not have been denied. My information, along with notes, would be sent to the leadership department for review and that I should hear something within 24 hours. That time period ended 6 hours ago, as of this review. I have been on an emotional rollercoaster, thinking that we were approved then finding out we're not. Their lack of communication is completely unacceptable. Based on this experience, and these other reviews, maybe it's best that I don't move forward with this company. In addition, I will say that it shouldn't take 30 days to return money that took 5 minutes to send them. read more

WORST COMPANY EVER ! I have had nothing but problems with this company since I started renting from them. Now I am about to move out and they stated I had to send a check with the prorated amount to the office in Phoenix, which I have an email proving that. They did not tell me the prorated amount or anything else. Then all of a sudden they drafted the full amount of rent out of my bank account and are refusing to give me back my money until I move out! That is beyond illegal! Not to mention all the other problems I have had with this company. Customer service is horrible and you can never get ahold of anyone when you need to. Worst rental management company. If I could give 0 stars I would. If you rent from them be aware they will take your money and keep your deposit for ridiculous things. We moved in and the house wasn't even cleaned. The grass was so long and the yard was full of weeds. They said someone would be out to cut the grass. After a few days we went ahead and mowed because it was ridiculous. I did a full clean of the house before we moved our furniture in. We choose not to renew our lease after a year and they choose the day and time to do the move out inspection. I tried calling numerous times and could not get ahold of anyone. I emailed and they wouldn't respond back. I couldn't make the move out inspection because I couldn't get off work. But I couldn't reach anyone to work something out. You have to hire a professional to clean. We hired someone to do a move out clean and they still charged us a cleaning fee. It also states in the lease that you can use the touch up paint provided. Well there wasn't any provided so I went and matched the color and touched up myself. They still charged us $600 to paint. I've never lived in a rental where they charge you for the tiniest picture holes. We left the house cleaner than when we moved in. We also took care of the yard, laid mulch, and planted flowers. The house looked drastically better after a year of us living there. Do not rent from them! read more

This is a crap company that does not know how to do any form of business. It's impossible to get ahold of any one in the Charlotte office, you call the corporate office and they don't know how to do anything other than transfer to a someone that won't EVER answer. You can leave 20 voicemails and they will never call you back. Email responses take up to month IF you ever get a response! They ONLY time they will ever get in touch with you is if they need money!! Stay away if you can. This is a horrible property management company. They charge us $10 a month for rental insurance when we emailed the correct proof of rental insurance. They also charged us $129 non compliance fee for not having the gas switched to our name even though we made the switch. Our A/C unit has been broken since we moved in. 6 times coming out and still not fixed. Call Progress and leave multiple messages with no response. The third party contractor they work with is also just as bad. Again.. A/C is still not working properly. I have asked for a different company to come out and get no response from Progress. The communication between the third party contractor and Progress is even horrible. It took sometimes weeks to get the work order approved just for somebody to perform the work. It's been a complete nightmare. If you call for a general repair, they come out and patch it rather then actually fixing it. I can no longer open my fence door since it needed repaired and they just came out and put some new nails in when the boards are needing to be replaced. Our state does not allow us to withhold rent to fix what they won't fix. But we have become exhausted with the phone calls, wait times if you call and talk to multiple people who cannot help you, we just live with the hopes that today will be a good day for the A/C unit. Since our state is very hot and humid. I guess positive note before it would not work at all, now it has good and bad days. It seems they nickle and dime you and charge you for so many fees. All I will say is whatever the house is listed for rent, you can add anywhere from $40 extra a month to $200 extra a month. I cannot recommend this company to anybody! I would encourage anyone to read all reviews about this company prior to signing a contract! They will gouge every cent they can get from you! Every call to them is goat rope with long wait times. Expect 2 days to a week for an email response from anyone there. This is by far the worst landlord/housing agency I have ever dealt with! I was offered contract options that they later said "sorry, but your HOA does not allow that" (why offer me an option if it hasn't been vetted prior to?) Since that option was yanked from me, I had to pay $470 for a short notice to vacate. I gave them 57 days notice; 60 is their minimum... Mind you this is after I thought I was allowed to stay in my home month to month. One month rent will roughly equal two mortgage payments. You best believe your deposit and first month rent better be paid right away, but they have 30+ days to refund your deposit. They have TONS of fees and they add up quick and come with little to no warning! I could go on and on but I think you get the point. read more

Honestly if I could give this company a negative five I would. First off upon me reviewing this property and making my final decision I ask regarding utilities. What is the renter responsible for. Maybe the realtor was certain because he tells me electricity, cable and what ever other bills I use. A month after getting my monthly rent reminder I see the rental company charges me $125 plus for gas, water & sewage. After reviewing that I call the rental company and advised before moving in I asked the realtor what the renter is responsible for and feel like I shouldn't be charged the $125 compromised fee. I went and got the gas and water in my name. The next month I'm charged for electricity and another $125 fee. I should have known then I'm going to regret this move. When I moved in to do my work through their was many of things I had to point out to the company just so I'm not responsible when I move out like the big hole in the garage. I was also told within the same week I'll have someone come and cut the high grass and bushes at the house which never happened. When I received my first gas bill not including the deposit my bill was over $500. I called piedmont due to the extremely high bill asking them to send someone out. Once I received a letter stating the bill is accurate I placed a service request to check the furnace. Gloria called me 3 days later telling me that's my responsibility to check the filters and all this other bs. I made numerous calls requesting the furnace to be checked and still I got nothing. In December my heat wasn't working I placed a service request and didn't get a call from Gloria until four days later. The following month I get my gas bill and again not including the deposit this time it's over $600 dollars. Again no one has come to check my furnace and I sent two emails one to corporate and the other to the local Charlotte office. This company doesn't care about their residents at all. After numerous emails and high gas bills upon other things. Trust I can go on and on about this company. I'm chosen to break my lease because I can't keep paying this high gas bill and rent especially when their not trying to assist with this issue. Gouged me $600 for a tree replacement out of my security deposit. When we moved into the house there was no tree at all in the front yard. All is well until a year and a half later a tree appeared in our front yard. I did what any normal person would do and watered the new tree like crazy but the tree began to die. I reached out to them kindly to let them know that the tree that randomly appeared ( come to find out they had to for hoa) was failing even though I was watering it like crazy. Yeah, the tree that randomly showed up, I watered and then told them that it was dying and that they needed to reach out to the tree company to get their money back.I never got a response until about a month later the first tree was removed and a second one was planted and my work order request was completed at that point. Come time to get my security deposit back and they charge me $600 because they had to come remove and replace a tree that "I didnt water" when in fact I watered the hell out of the thing. And second , when I put my security deposit down there was not even a tree on the premises to begin with.... so I reached out and they said they would look into it, gave me the run around with no follow up. After my last call and email they sent me an email saying they couldn't waive the fee because it was my fault the tree ( that appeared a year and a half into our lease that i did in fact water like crazy) had died and was being taken out of my security deposit. So I took care of their tree that randomly showed up one day and told them that it was dying even after I was watering it like crazy and I get stuck with a $600 bill. Riddle me that. how can you stick that to loyal tenants that take care of the property, pay on time and report issues so you can resolve them even when it's above and beyond what's required... property management fails again... I would highly discourage anyone from doing business with this company. I have had nothing but terrible experiences, and I hope that I can save others from the same predicament. I just relocated to Charlotte several months ago and although everything seemed promising at first, renting from this company has been a complete nightmare. After driving 10 hours to move into my rental house, I found that the "inspection" prior to my move in did not include the essential basics of any home in NC, including functional AC. My first 3 days here, I was stuck in a house in the middle of August with my thermostat reading 95 degrees. Despite my plea, it took several days for someone to come fix the AC even though I was promised daily that someone would be over before 5. The fun really started when I began being charged for waste removal (garbage, recycling, etc) with no waste removal service whatsoever. After many phone calls, meetings, and dealings with both the office manager and regional manager, nothing has been resolved. Ultimately, I have been struggling to live in sanitary conditions. I have reached the point of complete unsanitary living conditions. After countless calls, emails, and meetings, my house is still collecting garbage, flies, and other undesirables. I have boxes of waste stinking up my garage because it has no place else to go. Communication with appropriate personnel is next to impossible, and even when I am finally graced with a phone call, nothing is resolved. I had reached the point of hopelessness that I held a meeting about breaking my lease with no financial penalty- given the circumstances. The response I got (over 2 weeks later) was denied on the basis that "they have to treat all tenants the same and hold everyone to the same standards based on their lease." In any other situation, I would agree. However, who will hold Progress Residential to their standards? When I signed a lease with them, I had basic, reasonable sanitary standards that have been completely neglected. If they "treat all of their tenants the same"... do they treat all of their tenants this poorly? It was, is, and will continue to be, completely unacceptable. I am a young professional who moved to Charlotte for work, and this company has made my experience here unnecessarily miserable. I consider myself a reasonable professional, so before taking legal action to break my lease I tried to reason with appropriate personnel which was a waste of time. I even called corporate, which was also completely useless since they wouldn't let me speak with anyone who could help me. I refuse to pay a large sum of money to break my lease when deciding to vacate a property, on the premise that I will no longer live under these kinds of conditions. After I realized that reason was a lost cause, I consulted several lawyers who have affirmed that Progress Residential is in violation of NC law by not taking care of these living conditions. I'd much rather not waste my time by taking this company to court, but this has become my only option. In my opinion, by making me take this to court, Progress Residential cannot afford the reputation that they have earned, either. When I was first searching for a house in Charlotte, Progress Residential did not have any reviews so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. If there were any online reviews of this company at the time I was house hunting, I would have steered clear of this company. I would like to warn others to beware of this company in hope that they do not have to go through the same frustration that I have experienced. I have spoken with both the office manager, Tracey Buckley as well as the regional manager, Becky Ross; neither have been able to help me. After deciding to break my lease (and now have to go the hassle, time, and money of an attorney), I have looked for other places to live and can offer other recommendations of companies that hold themselves to much higher standards and actually treat their tenants with dignity and respect. My last words about Progress Residential: even if a house looks gorgeous and seems promising, please think twice about renting from this company because I can assure you that to this company, you will not be treated with the standards of living that you deserve. If you're looking at homes to rent and see a Progress Residential sign, turn and walk (run actually) away. They are all about taking your money as much as they can possibly squeeze out of you! I was told two months before my lease was up that that I could renew my lease for 12, 6 or go month to month (with a 20% rent increase) or move out. Both the 12 and 6 month options came with 10% increases along with some other random money gouging fees. Due to my current situation (back surgery) and this Covid-19 nonsense I told them I would like to stay month to month. Now I'm a month out and I get a "I'm sorry we are stupid and have no clue what we are doing, but that month to month option is not available; you have to sign a six months lease or move out" email. They clearly are desperate and need that lease security blanket in these hard times..break your lease and pay two months rent. Let the review average speak for itself and if you sign with them you are gonna get hustled and hassled! read more

This company took over our rental in the second year . As soon as they took over the experience went down hill and it hasn't improved . Our AC went out a total of 4 times and management swore it would be fixed on the day of each time . I had my newborn stripped down with fans surrounding him because the temperature inside the house never went below 95 degrees. The garage door game apart and cracked my husbands windshield , I was referred to my insurance company because it wasn't something they were responsible for . The dish washer was leaking for 2 months and according to the vendor they finally sent out we were exposed to several live wires . It's just been a nightmare . We're currently battling with them over terminating our lease and they're doing everything they can to stall . Such a headache ! read more

I have been renting for 15 years and this company is the absolute worst experience I have ever had. The customer service is terrible and the local representatives are less than helpful. I was initially happy about finding a great property in a nice neighborhood with a friendly and helpful property management company. The happiness has quickly turned into frustraiton. I have a refrigerator and microwave that are not working. The repair guy who was sent out to repair the appliances, told me that he only changed light bulbs. During my walk through, pictures were taken of mold growing in vents. After two weeks, these issues are still unresolved. It has been very frustrating and I am counting down the days left in my lease. As a property management professional myself, I am seeing first hand why customer service is so important. read more

DO NOT RENT WITH THEM. Put these fools out of business! They are the worst company I have ever rented through. They are very greedy and will not lower their prices for any reason. They will let a house sit empty before they rent it out for even $50 below their asking price. We moved into a house a day after the deal they were running and they wouldn't even consider honoring it. They do not answer calls or emails, they do not work with you, and when you do get a hold of them they are very rude. Work orders go through slow, if at all. For our first work order we needed a toilet fixed, told them to call ahead, they didn't, they just showed up and we weren't home. Second time, two people showed up at different times, because they didn't know the other one was coming. Third time we needed our shed door fixed because it kept flying open, and no one showed up for months, despite several calls and emails. Our rent is very expensive for the area, but at the time it was our only option, and even so they want to raise rent by $100 for the next year. They do not care about you, and seem to do the bare minimum to appease renters. read more

Do not rent from this company unless you want them to try to keep your deposit. They try to charge you for things that are considered normal wear and tear under the law, such as carpet cleaning, outdoor siding cleaning, etc... The accounts team will not give you their name no matter how many times you inform them you will pursue them in court. If they refuse to pay you the security deposit, sue them in small claims court for the maximum allowed and you will win. They break the law. This company has high turnover and their people are very shady. They will try to keep taking advantage of renters until they are caught.Choose a reputable company that clearly displays their understanding of law regarding normal wear and tear. Progress Residential pretends not to know this and even put it in your lease, which is illegal. Do not rent from them. Only their social media group tries to fix things, but by then you have spent weeks trying to collect your money. No thanks. Avoid them. read more

Too bad there isn't a -5 star to choose. This company practices unethically and unprofessionally. They lied and said I only had to pay a pet deposit, not pet rent too. (So I paid a nonrefudnable $500 for a pet deposit. Then I pay $20 monthly per dog.) I had that in writing in an email and they refused to honor it. I wanted to back out but they threatened to keep all of my deposit $1500. Also, you can never get through to an agent at the charlotte location. Every time I call Im transferred to a call center. They "try" to transfer me to charlotte but no one ever answers and I get transferred back out to another call center and different person. Not to mention the second day after I moved in there was a major leak from the master bath through the downstairs ceiling fan. Now that my lease is up in 60 days I've been trying to turn in my notice To Vacate letter for 3 weeks. I've emailed it twice. And called three times and left three voicemails to follow up since I've gotten no response. Of course they are ignoring me because if they don't have notice by 60 days they can charge me out the ass. So now I have to drive up to their office in person to show my ass for the 3rd time this year because you can't get anything done over the phone. Renting from these people has been one of the worst mistakes of my life. I DO NOT RECOMEND THEM TO ANYONE. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! read more

We are a military family that has moved all over. The customer service of this company is the worst I have encountered. I was pleased with the person who showed me the home. I felt like he was truly proud to represent the company. I noted multiple deficiencies of the home during our move in walk thru and was assured that they would be taken care of before I moved my family in a week later. A week later we discovered that none of that was taken care of and while the first few issues were addressed in the following days after we moved in, another major issue arose stemming from the company's failure to prepare this home for move in properly. We put in a work order for the major issue and based on the circumstances, it should have been investigated with in the 72 hours they say they have to contact a tenant for non emergency problems. A week passed with no communication. I called the number listed at the bottom of the work order email. The tech I spoke to was shocked that no one had called me yet. She said she was expediting the work order and to expect a call shortly. That was this past Monday. By 10 a.m. yesterday no one had called. I called the number again only to be told my work order had been canceled but the tech couldn't tell me why so he patched me through to Gloria. Gloria tells me that the person I need to contact, Karrie Hamilton, was out of the office and I'd need to email her.She also could not tell me who or why my work order was canceled and why no one notified me. So I sent an email letting Miss Hamilton know the entire situation, with very clear pictures of the situation, and how awful I felt as a tenant because of the run around I had recieved. A few hours later I got a call from Gloria saying that a tech from a pest control company would be contacting me. That was it. No response from Miss Hamilton apologizing for the bad service, no answers why the work order was canceled, no apology or concern that we had been distraught and stressed because of the issue that was caused by their lack of preparation. I am thankful that the pest control company that was requested to fix our issue was prompt, courteous, and sympathetic I find the lack of concern and communication from Progress Residential to be awful. That's a HORRIBLE way to do business and they should be ashamed. read more
