    We had Proficient Plumbing do a large job, they connected our detached garage to the water main at our house. It was about 300' away, they had to use a trenching machine and navigate the driveway and a stone wall. They treated the job like they were working on their own house, they paid particular attention to ensuring that they didn't uproot any trees or damage our stone wall. After the trenching was finished and they covered the trench you wouldn't even know they had been there. They used quality materials and went one-step above and beyond by installing a tracer wire - I was impressed. They called me before they came out and immediately following the job to ensure that I was happy. The staff were incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable - they will be my go to for any plumbing needs in the future.

They've got you over a barrel when they come out and start throwing parts. This was an install of a drop in kitchen sink and faucet. He told me his hourly rate was 135 bucks. I was expecting to spend about 400 maybe 500. The final bill was 850. I feel I was overcharged on both the parts and labor. He charged me starting 45 min before he got there but still included a "truck charge." The removal and replace of the sink took 2 hours. To me the "clock" starts on the labor at the agreed upon arrival time. When I'm getting charged 439(!) bucks for parts on top of the sink and faucet itself, that extra charge for labor is quite unwelcome. I mean the sink and faucet itself that were "nice" were like 500 bucks. So almost that again just in parts. ‍ His answer in general as I look at these reviews is that he buys his parts from a plumber supply not Home Depot etc. I would have to research each individual part to see if its price point is "fair". A perusal of solid brass fittings and pvc p traps on the Lowe's site shows the price I paid was about doubled. He acted quite insulted that I wouldn't know just how much better his parts were and implied they were all but unavailable at big box stores. literally doubling what I expected to pay was quite a shock to say the least. Due to some poor workmanship from a previous technician and a transition in tenancy at my property, the system was left with several non-functioning zones and mechanical issues that went unnoticed until I returned to manage the property myself this October. When I reached out to explain the situation, Carl personally came out to handle the follow-up. He spent nearly two hours meticulously inspecting every single zone and head. He was incredibly honest and direct--starting the conversation by apologizing and acknowledging that the previous technician's work had simply failed. Carl didn't just fix the immediate issues in Zones 1, 3, and 4; he ensured the entire system was back in top working condition. He also shared very useful, straightforward observations and recommendations for the system's long-term health. It is rare to find a family-owned business with this much integrity. This company installed my Rachio sprinkler system back in 2023 which cost me over $1000 and have since come out twice to do repairs on my sprinkler heads due to an armadillo being in the yard. But when they last came out to fix a sprinkler head that was popped up they didn't run a full diagnostic on my entire system and wanted to charge me another labor fee of $175 / hour. I got a "discount" at $125 / hour because the technician was there for 14 minutes (by my ring doorbell calculations) but the "owner" went back and forth with me on the minutes of which he said the service took place. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this company to anyone and I am telling all the people who referred me to switch companies. Bad business.

    Elderly Customer Treated Poorly - Beware…read more My elderly mother hired Delta Plumbing to repair a continuous water leak at her home. Her regular plumber wasn't available until the following week, and given the urgency, she reached out to Jason. Unfortunately, this turned into one of the most frustrating and concerning service experiences we've ever encountered. After collecting a $650 deposit, Jason refused to provide a written scope of work or a detailed estimate--despite his website claiming "clear, upfront estimates." The only "invoice" we received was vague, lacked itemization, and omitted basic information required under Texas law. When my mother asked him to include a service date, he replied, "You don't need a date on the invoice." When she followed up again and explained she might need to stop payment on the check until proper documentation was provided, Jason sent threatening text messages directly to her. He claimed he would "seize" the city-owned water meter and charge over $1,000 to reinstall it. He also threatened legal action against both of us if we left a negative review--even though he had previously told me how important reviews were and actively encouraged me to leave one. Even more disturbing, he bragged about retaliating against a past customer, describing how he surveilled their home and removed a water heater during a dispute. That comment, paired with the threats to my mother, felt incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional in my opinion--especially directed at a 72-year-old woman living alone. We ultimately paid $2,500 total, yet still have not received a paid invoice. The charges equated to roughly $250/hr for excavation and sleeving work, with no breakdown or explanation. This contrasts sharply with another plumber who worked on the same line just months prior--who provided detailed estimates, a 1 yr warranty and documentation before any work began. When asked about a warranty, Jason initially said he didn't offer one. Only after repeated pushback did he agree to a 30-day warranty, saying, "no one gives a year warranty" and "It's in the ground--I can't control the ground." For work of this cost and importance, that response was disappointing and, frankly, dismissive in my opinion. Worst of all was how my mother was made to feel throughout the process--confused, belittled, and punished for simply asking fair and reasonable questions. No one, especially a senior citizen, should be treated this way by a licensed professional. Public records show Mr. Ragusa has already received a disciplinary penalty for failing to provide proper documentation in the past. If you're considering hiring Delta Plumbing, I strongly recommend getting all pricing, scope, and warranty terms in writing before any work begins--and, if possible, consider using a different company entirely. Respect, clear communication, and transparency should be the bare minimum. Sadly, that was not our experience. And for the record: this is the review Mr. Ragusa personally requested. ADDENDUM: I was not the customer. The work was performed for my elderly mother, who hired Mr. Ragusa independently. I became involved only as her caregiver, helping her request a standard, itemized invoice for a plumbing expense of over $2,000 -- which she needed for a City of Austin utility credit. My requests were respectful and appropriate. Additionally, Mr. Ragusa sent an email to me explicitly stating that he would shut off my elderly mother's water service if this review was not removed. He then followed through -- turning off her water without notice over a holiday weekend. I have documentation of this communication. "Water is off and meter locked out f review is not removed from both sites I'll be next to remove water line I'll rip out the ground and then you will have something to complain about Happy 4th Sincerely Jason Ragusa Delta Plumbing LLC " Mr. Ragusa's repeated claims that I was his customer and am harassing him are completely false and part of a troubling pattern of retaliatory behavior. I was simply assisting my mother, who is 72 and disabled, in requesting a proper invoice. Proceed with caution.
