In addition, his price was very reasonable compared to other bids and his estimated time to complete the job was half the time of other quotes even though I had added some work beyond just regular painting. His bid was very detailed and complete and once he started the job he was here every day and completed the job on time. I was also very impressed by how neat he and his crew were. They covered everything and unlike other experiences I've had with painters, I didn't have to clean up after they left. In addition to the painting tasks, my job also included various drywall repairs with texture around the house in very visible locations and Travis did an excellent job. He also removed heavy texture that had been previously applied to all the walls in one room and retextured and then painted them to match the light texture on the ceiling and the rest of the house. The transformation of this room was truly amazing. He also prepared and painted over wallpaper in one bathroom and it turned out beautiful. It took lots of patience, hard work, and a great deal of artistic skill to achieve the beautiful results. I'm a Realtor and have had experience with lots of painters and contractors and Travis is among the best I've seen. After the painting job, I asked Travis to come back to do various repairs from my home inspection report and some caulking in my bathroom showers and he did a superb job at a reasonable price for that work too. There were repeated issues with accuracy--basic measurements were not tracked properly, and a door was installed to open in the wrong direction. After spending over an hour with him, he promised to have a quote for us by the following Tuesday (this last meeting was on a Thursday). When we received nothing by the following Thursday, 2 days after we expected his quote, I left a message to please let us know status. He did not return our call. I left him 2 subsequent messages over 2 weeks, asking what is going on, but he did not bother to respond. In the last message, I asked him that if he no longer wants to bid the job, he could at least simply have the decency and professional courtesy to let us know. That was almost a week ago. AND STILL HE HAS NEVER CONTACTED US AFTER WASTING SO MUCH OF OUR TIME! This is a rather stark indication of the true character, or lack thereof, of this individual and what you can expect if you engage him. We strongly recommend you go somewhere else. The owner set an appointment, was punctual and courteous, and showed me samples. He quoted me a fair price, and I accepted. He started the work within the following 10 days, and he completed it to my satisfaction and in a timely manner, even during a rainy day.
