He refers to them as his "skilled laborers." The first time they did, any landscaping work for me, their weed line broke on the weedeater and they left the job unfinished without any communication as to why they needed to leave or when they would complete it. They have also bid other jobs for me such as irrigation sprinkler repair, and a ramp rebuild/repair. Then, I didn't hear anything from any of the workers or management for three weeks. By the time they got back to me, I had already recd other bids, approved a bid, hired somebody, had the work completed and paid for the work. Their "skilled laborers" are "boys" who don't take their job or their clients seriously. I even had a text from Tanner after 11 pm. Both he and Dallas heard about it from me. Their laborers dictate rates to the owner. Not acceptable. They are not professional and should not be considered if you want quality work done at a decent price.

I initially connected with Apex when a friend suggested I might try using Yelp to find a contractor. Christian, the owner, came to give me an estimate on removing some nasty carpet from a bathroom and replacing it with more appropriate bathroom flooring. I was trying to get this done quickly to better meet family medical needs, so I wasn't too fussy about what it looked like. I described what was needed and he used his experience to suggest what would work best for our situation and he sent me a few pictures of different flooring and edging to choose from. He bought materials the next morning, and had good communication on keeping me updated for his arrival time after the materials purchase. One thing I really appreciated is that he was able to plan the work around elderly family needs with the bathroom. Even though there were other bathrooms in the home, because it was the best bathroom for an elderly person to use at night, he kept it functional between the first and second days of work. Even though this wasn't necessarily the most "efficient" way of working he prioritized our needs. He also kept everything very tidy around the area where work was being done, and was able to keep the hallway outside of the bathroom accessible during the day while he was working. After the work was complete, Christian had me look it over, made sure everything was clean and every last bit of debris from the project was removed from the property, and later that evening sent me an invoice online. It was convenient to access and pay the invoice with a card via a secure payment platform. Christian was also very professional and respectful in all aspects of our communication and working in the house. I also appreciated that he's very clear and specific on what types of work he does and what he doesn't, and his connections to people who can help with other construction specialties. I would not hesitate to hire Apex for other jobs in the future!

I had a very complicated roof (3 levels, valleys, peaks, plus separate garage) and we decided after much research to go with a standing seam 24 guage metal roof. We obtained 4 proposals and Fontana was most responsive. The owner came and spent much time with me answering all my questions, he was very patient. He "listened" intently and knew what I wanted. This was also the way his roofers acted toward me. They answered all of my questions, they were understanding, they went beyond the call by helping clean a sky light that had leaked debris into the house. Anyway, the finished product is excellent and attractive. They also installed new gutter covers, they cleaned the gutters and correct joints where I had leaks. They also removed the failed stucco around the chimney and redid it in standing seam, the end products looks like something right our of Architectural Digest!
