He cleaned up each day, wore booties in the house, and laid drop cloths from the front door to the utility closet to keep our home clean. This is based purely on an estimate so far, but we couldn't be happier with Professor Plumb from that one experience. We had a leaking outside garden faucet for months. After I realized that it was an anti-freeze valve and outside of my capabilities. I was dreading for months calling a plumber. I found Professor Plumb through Yelp by submitting a request for a quote. I was having an issue with my kitchen sink not draining. I submitted the request at 11pm (after hours) and received a response via Yelp Messages at 7am the following morning! We discussed the issue over the phone and they were able to get someone out at 9am the same day. The plumber that came out was on time and very respectful of my apartment. He was very quick in his assessment of the issue and went over the cost with me and the potential for additional cost if the clog was longer than 25 feet. I thought the quote for snaking the pipe was reasonable and I agreed with the quote and he started to snake the drain immediately. The work was quick and the plumber cleaned up after all the work. I am very satisfied with Professor Plumb and would recommend them to anyone with plumbing issues. I just had an estimate done. I'm sorry I didn't have the same experience as the rest of you. He came on time but gave me an estimate for $2451. He was going to charge $600 to run 40 ft pax ( I had 50 ft copper on hand) when it costs $30. Said I needed 1/2" when it only needed 1/4" pipe. I ended up getting the job done for $600. Amanda took my call and scheduled a technician to arrive the next morning between 10 and 12. Blue arrived during the scheduled time and examined the drain valve and pipes. He removed a hair clog and was done in 15 minutes. He was kind enough to show us how to clear this type of clog in the future and some preventative maintenance tips. The kicker? Timely, pleasant, thorough and fair. We suspected we had a hot water leak, since our gas and water bills have been off the charts. We called based on their yelp rating and they came out the next day. We were late meeting them, and Brian waited politely for us to get home. He was very knowledgeable and clearly has extensive experience checking for and repairing leaks. Had a technician B.W. Initials come and install new bathtub and stand up shower fixtures. Quoted a price and had to make two trips to the store to make it work properly. Didn't uncharge for the trips to the store, ended up buying the same thing I had but the package for everything needed was $80 and didn't charge us to for it. Stayed with the original quote. Didn't take the new ones we ordered, said to return it to recoup your money. That is incredible service you never see anymore. If needed again will 100% use this company. The faucet valves to my washer had corroded over time and would not close. Professor Plumb was able to fit my appointment in at the last minute. The job done was perfect. Brian came by my house this morning and took a look at my tankless water heater which had a small leak from the cold water valve. He gave me an honest assessment and gave me a fair price for the repair. He also looked at our bathroom sink because the faucet had low water pressure. He was able to repair the aerator and the water pressure was great. He didn't charge me for the assessment or the repair he did on the sink. He is a stand up guy.
