They were recommended to me by a close friend from my church for whom they had done a similar project a year or so ago. I'm in my mid-60s and have dealt with more contractors than I can count over the nearly 40 years I've been a homeowner. Accurate Leak and Line checks ALL the boxes when it comes to being an excellent contractor. Initial assessment, proposal, communication, implementation, and follow-up were all handled with professionalism, consistency and courtesy. They showed up each day exactly when they said they would. When my personal OCD tendencies showed up and I asked too many questions, Christian, my project manager, responded graciously and respectfully to every question I had. The excavation crew from Deanda Excavation was first-rate with every facet of the digging, tunneling and backfill. They took great care with my yard and house during each phase of their work. The team of AL&L plumbers that handled the actual replacement of all the cast iron with PVC (and it was a TEAM - I think it was at least 6 or 7 plumbers) knocked out the entire plumbing job in a single day, and did it with astonishing efficiency. They went above and beyond in ways I definitely didn't anticipate. For example, they installed two dedicated in-ground cleanouts that never existed at my house before for easy maintenance access at the kitchen sink and half bath drains. If there's ever a clog, it will be easier than ever to clear. When the project was finished, my house and property were undamaged and greatly improved. On the cost side - Accurate Leak and Line charged me the same amount that another reputable contractor had quoted - but the competing quote was ONLY to replace the cast iron plumbing under the house and did not include the long run of pipe (actually two separate runs) from my house to the city sewer service at the alley. Because of this difference in project scope, the Accurate Leak and Line quote ended up being substantially lower than the competing quote. And the job is now 100% done. If you ever need this kind of project done, use these guys! You won't regret it.

My story is as follows had the guys come out things were great. Super nice guys told me what I needed and I did not question the $20k + price tag. I was then asked if I had a problem if they dig/dug on the holiday weekend so they could get me completed the first couple of days after the holiday. I said nope as long as there is someone to speak to if there are issues. I am not going to use names but the foreman was here for less than 20 minutes the entire job. They dug all weekend and discovered that they had been digging the wrong direction but had no idea. No one to call no one to get in touch with and we never knew what was going on because of a significant language barrier even when trying to use a translation app. After calling the office all weekend and the holiday someone finally answered the phone at 11 am on Tuesday (never returned our emergent messages). I then let the office manager know they were digging in the wrong area and he said he knew nothing and would have to speak to the foreman who was in Mexico so he would speak to him when he could. I said I crawled under my house they are digging in the wrong direction. They re-inspected my job and then let me know the work they quoted me on was a mistake and some of it was not needed but not to worry I would not be charged for them digging 30 feet in the wrong direction and the work that was quoted and not needed (nor done). So they did not dig to my kitchen (15 additional feet) they did not replace anything in my kitchen all quoted. They did not hook up to the mainline in our agreed upon location. Their discount $1500 dollars all of this is completely factual. There is no communication, no one to answer after hours, no supervision of the job site, and no accountability. People are saying they had wheelbarrows full of dirt leftover I had 3 dump trailers full. This company is complete chaos and now appear to be fairly dishonest when it comes to pricing...have the customer sign an agreement then dont do 1/3 of it and discount it for 5 feet of digging not done when it was 15 feet not done and nothing replaced in the kitchen. I hope the company does the right thing

After rejecting that he tells me for nearly $400 he would diagnose/troubleshoot the water heater but not perform any labor. Labor and parts would cost extra. THE LABOR!!!! Isn't that what the $400 is for? But the kicker was, without touching my heater, he offered to replace it for $6800! Their costs on a new unit is $1300. So that's $5500 in labor for replacing it with a unit that fits in the exact same footprint!!! Buyer Beware!!!!

Mother Modern Plumbing will be the only plumbing service that I'll ever call again. I had been dealing with a shower and washing machine drain stoppage for a while. All other drains were fine and nothing I tried was working to clear the blocked shower and washer drain. This experience with Mother Modern Plumbing was as perfect as it gets. The first thing I noticed when I called was a quality of true kindness.. Gabby took that call and she was great. Even with my complicated schedule this week (medical appointments) she managed to work me into their schedule. She was absolutely excellent. And each of their team members that I spoke with, also had that same quality of kindness. Just genuine NICE people. Willie came over to clear the drain problem and he's an awesome guy. He figured out immediately the best approach to get the clog out. And he showed me the images with a special camera down in the drain. He's by far the most considerate person I've ever had over here. My two dogs were especially bad and barked terrible at him.. and he remained calm, relaxed and pleasant. He even saved one of them out in the street because I had left the gate open. Not only are they great people at Mother's, but they charged less than any others that I checked. I checked a lot. The 1st plumbing company that I called required a fee just to come and look at the problem, for an estimate of what the actual job will cost.. their estimate fee was about the same as Mother's full fee was for doing the entire job, with no estimate fee charged. What concerned me most was that Willie later showed up at my home without an appointment, phone call, or any prior discussion with me, apparently intending to install a part. I found that extremely unprofessional. Overall, the entire experience left me with the impression that the priority was getting me to spend as much money as possible rather than helping resolve the actual issue.
