My wife and I are purchasing a condo on Oahu and decided to go with Frank due to the raving reviews we read on Yelp and other sources. Our decision turned out to be a good one. Frank was always prompt to respond and kept us informed on appointment scheduling and other status update. The property we are buying is about 1,000 sq ft and it took about 2 hours to complete. Frank did a very thorough job inspecting pretty much every corner of the property, explaining to us what he was looking at and looking for as he went. He also identified some potential problem in the bathrooms and kitchen (using his infrared thermo technology) and gave us his analysis of potential cause. From the beginning to the end, he showed only interest in protecting me as the buyer. Frank even offered us some tips and advice on home renovations to help us to save money! He showed us the "draft report" on the spot and sent us the finalized report with tons of pictures the same evening. I've purchased 3 houses, and Frank was by far the best inspector I've ever used. I chose him because he has more certifications and experience than anyone else on island, and he uses the latest technology such as drones to inspect hard to see places, as well as infrared technology to evaluate invisible but important factors in the home. My very experienced real estate agent was blown away by his professionalism, his extensive 90+ page report with tons of photos, and his very reasonable recommendations. After it was all over my agent said he'd never seen anything like it, and asked if I'd please write a review for the Redfin real estate website as well, so future Redfin customers will know what an amazing job he did for us. We used PREI for the pre-close inspection based on the recommendation of our realtor. We were particularly nervous about this inspection because we were still living stateside and couldn't be there for it, and the home was a huge financial investment for us. But the thoroughness of the inspection report, including pictures and an intuitive ratings system, put our minds at ease that the house had been thoroughly inspected. In fact, the interior wall moisture readings they performed around windows uncovered that a supposedly previously fixed problem wasn't actually fixed, saving us tens of thousands of dollars in repair costs. I was buying an 800sf condo and he reported on every inch of it and even invited me to stay while he inspected. He used some neat technology tools to catch things that the naked eye wouldn't be able to detect. I hired Frank to perform a home inspection for my family tentative new home. Since all homes come with some form of hidden problems and the price tag is so high, my realtor recommended that we find and hire a home inspector. As some have great reviews in which we love reading, I decided to go with the person with whom, I read had the most credentials because I wanted someone who had the educational backing and experience.
