The inspector was very knowledgeable and since we were 5,000 miles away in NC he made 4 videos where he explained everything in terms a layman could understand. He also wrote the most comprehensive report I have ever seen (I have made real estate transactions in three countries and this will be my fourth in HI) and this is the best I have ever seen. He made it very clear what was a real problem and needed immediate attention. Things that had been done by an amateur and should be corrected and finally things that were cosmetic. Perfect. If you need a really professional home inspector in Oahu this company is the one you should turn too/ read more

If i was able to give zero stars i would. Recommended by a realtor missed rotted post in our lanai, structural issues that cost us to have to build a retaining wall a year later. The sad part is before the purchase i did ask both owner of the company and inspector if the structural issue was something to worry about his response the home is sound nothing to worry about. If i could give a zero as a rating i would. beware of the quality of inspections these guys give not sure if they are just so busy that they miss things. Would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. When going back to owner to see if there was anything they could do to make up for the negligence...radio silence he was unwilling to call back and contact us. read more

Duane was awesome. I called him and he was able to come out the next day for our home inspection. He and Bryan did a thorough job, with a very detailed report including pictures and provided resources for things that needed to be addressed. I am super impressed with the wonderful customer service. They spent time going over the whole report and showed us the areas we needed to see. Duane said we could call anytime with questions. This is our first home purchase so having Duane walk us through everything was so reassuring. I highly recommend! Thank you read more

Bryan was an excellent and thorough inspector and covered nicely all the features to look for as a homeowner. He broke it down in easy to understand format and prioritized what is urgent or what is for maintenance, making it easier to take action as needed. He provided to my homebuyer an excellent video inspection to keep and refer back to with great resources to turn to for further understanding because they were out of town during that time. Highly recommend! read more

We had Duane do our home inspection and he was great. Lots of information and lots of resources given which are helpful. For the cost of the project, I think that he covered a lot of areas and we were very happy with how thorough he is. They pricing is also indicated on their website so you won't have to be worrying about extra fees. Duane also pointed out even the smallest discovery he made. He is also transparent with the cost of repairs which I think is great. Military discount is also very much appreciated. I recommend using this business when you're doing a home inspection. read more

The inspector, Duane, was excellent. Great service; very informative; learned a lot. The Homebinder is awesome. Definitely would recommend to anyone. read more

Overall we would recommend AHI. The technician was very knowledgable and professional. The only reason we're not giving 5 stars is because their policy prevents them from testing specific types of appliances. So, after the inspection, the state of the appliances continued to be unclear to us. read more

Thorough beyond expectations. Duane was knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. He took pictures of all issues and created a document listing them with descriptions of what was wrong and what a solution would be. Made himself available for any questions after the inspection as well. I feel confident that I had a good inspections done. Definitely use this company and not your realtor's suggested inspector if you want to know what you're getting into when purchasing a new home. read more

I requested online an inspection of my new home before the one-year warranty expires. Bryan Naff replied within minutes that he felt he couldn't recommend an inspection since he didn't want to charge me for a report if he wasn't able to give me anything of value. As generalists, inspectors can't magically find things we wouldn't have noticed by living in the home. Instead, Bryan recommended that we operate and test things in our home, such as sink basins, appliances, a/c, garage doors, etc. Its rare nowadays to find someone who places such importance in providing value to the customer first. Thanks Bryan! read more

Duane and Bryan are veterans in the business. Between the recorded video clips to walk me through the inspections of each area, there was a comprehensive report and general comments to help me understand the nature of the property and also a sense of priority for items of repair. They even had referrals for ancillary inspections that I needed to use. They gave my family peace of mind and theres no price tag on that. Will definitely hire them again in the future! read more

"Wowzah! I'm glad we did the inspection." Bryan and the crew from Architech went above and beyond our expectations. We gladly offer our recommendation on their home inspection service. We were looking to make improvements to the buildings on our property and needed information on the condition of the structures to formulate an effective plan. We decided to go with a home inspection service and felt that Architech would best serve our needs. They are a local company with a strong business record of providing quality, service and expertise in Hawaii since 2003. Their inspectors are credentialed to a national standard and Bryan was very responsive to our inquiries about the process. At the inspection, Bryan and the other inspectors demonstrated why they have been successful in Hawaii. They were knowledgeable, professional, systematic and thorough. During the post inspection walk through, each inspector took the time to explain what they found and what we should consider as property owners. We received copies of the completed reports the same day and were amazed at the comprehensive nature of each report. The reports provided general and detailed information for each of the structures inspected noting issues of concern, the implications, the recommended corrective actions and the time sensitivity of each issue. Just what we needed to move forward in developing our improvement plan. Mahalo to Bryan and the team from Architech. Awesome job! Nathan R., Excelsior Lodge read more

Architech is definitely the home inspection company for you....professional, thorough and customer driven.

Awesome experience amidst all the angst of buying a home in Hawaii. Bryan was zero nonsense, straight to the point of the good (lots of it in this home) and the bad (blessed with minimal issues). His recommendations were spot on and we had a quick and positive experience with the sellers to meet our closing date. The company was recommended by our realtor, and I'd use them again (but this is our forever home, so there's THAT detail....) Truthfully made the most unknown part of purchasing a home a comforting and welcome relief. Mahalo Bryan! read more

Duane Wong did an excellent job in his inspection of our future home. He carefully took his time checking out/on and turning on/off throughout the inside and outside of the house. We we're happy to hear that the house is in excellent condition and that there are only a few minor issues to take care of like the water pressure being just a little below the standard and replacing one electrical outlet in the patio. Most of all, thank you for providing to us the detailed report of your inspection and the access to be able to scan and save anything we buy or services we have done on or in the house to the file to be saved and kept for safekeeping and to be printed out in the future when needed. Thanks again, Duane! read more

We were really appreciative of the timely response throughout the process, the thoroughness of the information, and the willingness to step us through any area where we had questions. This company is top-notch. The inspector arrived hours before, wrote careful notes, and took a multitude of pictures. It was all compiled in an easy-to-read web document. They also give you a business card with the file cleverly installed on it as well! They give suggestions on what to immediately repair, as well as ideas of near-future upgrades and maintenance. I like that I can always go back and reference the report as a checklist. Our inspector, Bryan was very knowledgeable, efficient, and had a great sense of humor. I will definitely recommend this company to other friends I know looking for a home. read more

Loved the very thorough inspection and video links...not being able to be present for the inspection because of COVID-19 actually worked well (if not better) for us.....having the video links is a great idea, because we can easily replay them at our own leisure to review different things, etc. The quality of the videos was great, and Bryan's clear explanations of things was very helpful. The paper report is also very detailed and helpful. We would definitely recommend their services to others! read more

Always a great pleasure to work with fellow professionals! So many home inspectors learn from a book and are not hands on. Bryan and his crew are very hands on and recognize that there are many ways to build a home and not only 1 way... Inspector Duane Wong did a video inspection of my condo in Escrow on Sunday, 05/02/21. Besides the detailed inspection information, I really appreciated hearing him talk about my building in general. I felt he's been there many times and his thoughts on the unit and the building made me feel like I made a good selection. Video along with the written report is the only way to go. This is a huge purchase and when I get the "buyer shakes" I can watch the video again and again to bring me down! The inspection was timely, I received the reports quickly, and they had excellent follow up. My RE Agent said they were highly rated and I'm super glad I chose them. I will definitely use Architech Home Inspection again! read more
