On top of that I was thrown off a horse about a year and a half ago and continue to deal with the broken shoulder ,several broken ribs and a punctured lung I suffered. So I needed help getting back in shape. Both women worked hard to evaluate the various problems and work out exercise and stretching routines that would help me regain much of what I had lost. There were about 10-15 different movements, stretches, lifting I needed to work on to get the job done. I worked diligently on my own and many times with them, and feel I have made great progress! I went to another physical therapist before coming here, and there was a huge difference - Garth took time to make sure I was doing the exercises correctly, and explained what he was doing and why - all of the folks here are extremely knowledgeable. The only thing stopping the group from getting five stars is that when you have appointments at peak times (right before or after work) it can feel a little bit like an assembly line - there are many physical therapists working out of the space, so even though it's a big facility you can feel a little crowded when all of the therapists are working at once.

The pain was excruciating, and continued to get worse over time. One of my colleagues who was seriously injured in a surfing incident a year earlier, that basically destroyed his shoulder (broken bones etc) had been treated by Dr. Tim Hartshorn, and recovered completely recommended that I go see him. I did, and I IMMEDIATELY knew I was in the right place, with the right doctor. Ultimately, I required surgery to repair my shoulder, but prior to actually scheduling surgery, I needed to finish out the work season on light duty. Dr. Hartshorn gave me direct steroid injections to the shoulder joint over the course of the next few months to get me through the rest of that season. At the end of the season, I went in for surgery in the morning, and was back home that afternoon. Almost immediately, Dr. Hartshorn had me on a physical therapy routine that got me moving my newly repaired shoulder in short order. Over the course of the next several weeks, the pain subsided, my range of motion returned as I continued physical therapy, and in less than 3 months, I was back at work with no restrictions. What you need to understand is that prior to seeing Dr. Hartshorn, I could not even hold a coffee cup in my left hand without serious pain. The act of threading a belt through my pant loops required assistance from my wife. Sleeping was nearly impossible and I was a wreck due to lack of sleep. Surgery takes time to fully heal from, and I knew that going in. It also takes commitment by you, to do the exercises, and range of motion stretches prescribed by your physical therapist or doctor. If you don't do that, you will not recover completely. I knew that going in as well. Dr. Hartshorn made sure I knew that this was not going to be easy, or fun, but it (the PT and stretchers) was absolutely necessary for fast recovery and the best possible outcome. Without question or reservation of any kind, I can absolutely say that if you are reading this because you have injured your shoulder, and are at the point where a solution other than you just "roughing it out" is necessary, and you have found Dr. Tim Hartshorn, Your are one fortunate individual. It is my belief that you will NOT find a better physician, surgeon or human being than Dr. Tim Hartshorn. Congratulations, and rest easy. You are in the right place. For those wondering why, 2+ years later I might be here writing a review for Dr. Hartshorn, it is really simple. I have since injured my other shoulder, and have been in the care of a doctor who was prescribed by workers comp out here in California. I am miserable, I require surgery and I decided to reach out to Dr. Hartshorn to see if he would be willing to look at my MRI and perhaps give me a recommendation for surgeons he personally knows and would comfortably recommend out here in Cali. I've been going off again and on again to Pro X for almost a year now. I was originally going to…read morethe Boylston St location but switched to the High St location for convenience. Therapists at this location are incredibly knowledgeable. The staff here consists of mostly male therapists, except for my therapist Lisa (And Kelsey? Who might only be there part time not sure). I actually prefer a more male dominant clinic, as I find that the atmosphere can be more relaxed while still keeping a professional tone. I work as a professional ballroom dancer and came in for two injuries (knee and shoulder). Lisa has given me a program geared very specifically to my athletic ability. The skill sets and quality of physical therapists can range greatly. I've been to clinics where I've felt that I was not being challenged enough given the physical demands of my sport. Lisa has designed a program to optimize muscle rehabilitation with a concentration on exercises geared specifically to increase blood flow and nutrients to my knee and shoulder. Aside from being a great therapist, I find that Lisa is able to give a genuine warmth and sense of concern for her patients. While I've been to a number of very qualified male therapists, I find that they can sometimes lose their sense of human connection to the patient and I end up feeling like a cow in a factory line. In Lisa I see a great ability to empathize with patients, often putting their needs before her own. No matter how busy she is, or how early or late the day she always greets me with a genuine smile and a welcoming tone. Although I find all the exercise technicians to be competent, I have found Kyle to be the most knowledgeable and personable. He, like Lisa has a genuine care and interests in the well being of patients and is always very confident in his delivery of information on exercises. Eric acts as a mentor at the clinic, and has really been able to hone in on microscopic details in my rehabilitation that has helped to propel my recovery process. Jess, the clinic manger runs the best clinic I have ever been to. The office, while small is neatly kept, towels are always new, rug always clean, and table always sanitized. He has an incredibly staff that demonstrates customer services at its finest.

My daughter has had neck pain in the last few days but it escalated around 4am this morning. She couldn't move her neck too much. So we began a search for local chiropractors who could possibly see her on an emergency basis this morning before her 10am class. We left a couple of messages on their voicemail before we took a Lyft to their office. Yelp showed their office opened at 7am. Jose, the security guard in the building was friendly as we waited patiently for a call back. The remote receptionist returned our call around 7:30am and said the earliest appt would be 8:40am. We took it and waited patiently... IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! Colleen gave my daughter: Exam Adjustment Massage Laser red light Dry needle acupuncture ... exercises to do at home. She said that she would like to see her again in a couple of days. My daughter's neck flexibility and SMILE at the end of this appointment said it all.
