This review is long overdue. It's been months and months since my encounter with the bed bugs,…read moreperhaps it's only now that I can think of it again without disgust overcoming me... This company, specifically James, was very helpful and thorough in helping me and my husband extinguish our pretty severe case of bed bugs. He gave us very useful tips and advice to prep our apartment before he exterminated the affected areas. We had two more scares following our initial extermination and James came almost immediately. One time he bombed the place for us again (free of additional charges) and another time he came to do a complete inspection to make sure the bugs hadn't returned. We spent around $900, but it was completely worth it. This company means it when they say they will make sure the problem is taking care of 100%. I can't recommend this company enough!

The inspection has a 30-day guarantee, so that if we have any bites within those 30 days and/or spot bed bugs, he'll check out the place again. Call them, explain your problem, and have them come in for an inspection unless you're sure you have bed bugs. Excellent service. Worth the price of inspection.

This company charged significantly more than other extermination companies and promised that ants,…read morebugs, and termites would not return for at least one year. Trusting their promises, we paid $250 last summer to treat an ant problem on our property. Unfortunately, less than a year later, the ants returned, and the infestation is even worse than before. When we contacted the company again, they refused to come back and honor what was promised. The owner, Vadim, now claims that the guarantee was only for three months and wants to charge us the same amount again. If the original treatment had been effective, I would have had no problem paying for additional service. However, the exterminator spent less than 30 minutes at the property, sprayed a few areas outside, charged $250, and the ants came back. Very disappointing customer service and poor results. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. Be careful before spending your money and make sure you get any guarantees in writing. Stay away from them!!!

It is a shame that we in Brooklyn must have to deal with these problems, but this company makes an unpleasant problem as bearable as possible. Tommy came today to service the basement, first floor and second floor tenant apartment. He was so very nice, pleasant, professional and efficient, and really did a fantastic job. He explained everything and patiently answered my many questions. He was also very courteous to my tenant and alleviated her concerns. We both look forward to next month's visit and feel very confident about the service. In addition, Paul is truly outstanding and really bends over backwards to accommodate his clients. I suddenly had to change the time window, and he got back to me right away with a great solution. He is certainly a pleasure to deal with. If, like me, you have an unpleasant pest problem that needs to be remedied, you don't need to look any further. Abolish Pest Control has my highest recommendation, and that is saying a lot, as I am not one who is easily pleased!

" no guaranteed" when asked about warranty; " do you ask that question for everyone? not interested, do not call again" when asked if he was the owner of the business. I was confused how a question like that would upset someone to hang up on a prospect customer. Was it too weird and rude to ask? I would love to support our neighborhood small businesses. I called afterwards a different small company and was treated respectfully, had questions addressed patiently. We made an appointment for today and I have confidence in the service with their positive attitude. So make certain to ask smart questions if you decide to call One Hour Pest and hope it was just an isolated incident I had with Frank.

He took the time to explain what to look for and even let me send him photos of my bug bites!!! Mike then called an exterminator and got me an appointment the next day 3-4pm... but I had a doctor's appointment the next day 3-4pm and I couldn't move it. I was so stressed about having to pay a cancellation fee for my doctor's appointment. The next day at around noon, Mike called me and he had reached out to another client to see if they would be open to moving their appointment! Mike was able to send an inspector at 1pm!!! And Mike is SO responsive on his phone AND via text. Seriously does Mike sleep??? (Whoever the business owner is, GIVE MIKE A RAISE!!) Then came FRANK the inspector/exterminator. I was 15 min late and he was patient and waited for me outside my apartment. He didn't complain about my 4 flight walk up. Frank was SOO detailed in looking through my mattress, bed frame, boxes, EVERYTHING. He took the time to explain what he was looking for and he was totally cool with my barking yappy dogs. When he was done, I was still really anxious so I asked him if he could check other random closets and he happily did!!! Frank was SO kind. He even figured out that my apartment has bug screens on the windows and helped me pull them down before he left! I hope I never ever have a pest issue again but I'm so happy I found the One Hour team of Mike and Frank. I will always recommend them and use them again if I need it.
