We couldn't be happier with the work done by Professional Concrete Service and the owner, Mr. Jingles! We needed a repair on our driveway concrete apron, and he handled the entire project flawlessly from start to finish. Here is why we highly recommend him: Punctual & Hardworking: Mr. Jingles arrived right on time and worked tirelessly all day. Meticulous Craftsmanship: He was incredibly careful about doing things right the first time rather than rushing. The quality of the finished concrete speaks for itself. Mr. Jingles even got the color of the new concrete apron to be similar to our driveway. Value: The price he quoted to repair the driveway apron was much more attractive than the quotes we got to replace it. How long the repair will last will be the real judge, but we feel good about how things turned out. Neighbor-Friendly: He was super courteous and friendly to neighbors walking by during the job. Lightning Fast: The entire project took less than two days from start of work to finish, which even included getting final sign-off from the SF DPW Inspector without a hitch! Great Personality: Beyond his fantastic work ethic, Mr. Jingles is just a delightful person to chat with and be around. I didn't expect our discussion on art history and the use of light and shadow. :-) Thank you, Mr. Jingles! read more

A family member received the dreaded notice from the city to repair sidewalk and we again immediately asked Mr. Jingles to come and do the work. He is the consummate professional! He provided a very reasonable quote, did the work quickly, is always responsive and always followed up with inspector to make sure it passes inspection before letting us know the job is complete. We did not have to worry about anything and the sidewalk looks amazing! We highly recommend him if you want a worry free and easy experience. read more

I have used Professional Concrete twice, once to repair a curb after a city notice, and once to repair my driveway. The work is impeccable and so reasonably priced. I received a bid promptly after my initial email and the work was completed much quicker than I expected. The first time the entire process was all done virtually. This most recent time, I got to meet Mr Jingles in person and he is just an absolute delight. I strongly recommend him for his expertise, craftsmanship, and just being such a joy with whom to work. read more

Donald jingles is very good at what he does. We needed our cement driveway replaced after decades of water erosion. He did the replacement along with several sidewalk squares in less that a day with just two people, him and his hardworking assistant. He answers hi phone, "Hello" instead of "Professional Concrete Services how can I help you?". But don't let that throw you. I got several quotes before deciding and his was very competitive. His work was great and I highly recommend him for concrete replacement work. read more

We hired Pro Concrete Service/Jingles Concrete to repair our sidewalk and are very happy with the job. Communication was great, they handled the permitting with the city without issue, got the utilities drawn out etc., and when the job turned out to require a couple of extra squares they were very polite and didn't force me to raise the bill. Overall turnaround time was only a few weeks. Highly recommend if you need to repair your sidewalk in SF read more

Very happy with Mr. Jingles' service. We had a small sidewalk job that was required by the city. We were turned down or ignored by other contractors but he answered immediately and agreed to do the job based on the photos we sent him. He did an excellent job, notified the city and made sure to close the loop with us after the notice was closed. Highly recommended. read more

Donald's great. Very nice and very competent. He's from my birthplace of New Orleans so he gets points for that too. He just replaced several sections of my sidewalk. Tree roots had shattered and raised up concrete sections in front of my house. I pulled up the sections planning to lay them back down after getting rid of the roots. But, it was a big mess and I needed to fix it quickly before someone tripped or the city issued a citation. I got his company name from the city-approved contractor list Tuesday AM, he gave me a quote a few hours later and completed the work on Thursday. Very responsive. Work looks great. He cleaned up. Great customer service. Definitely recommend him. read more

We (also) received a notice from the SF DPW that cracks on our sidewalk needed repairing. We looked up all the recommended cement contractors on the City's website, and Professional Concrete Services had the best reviews. We contacted Mr. Jingles, who responded to my email in less than a day. His quote was very reasonable, and he started working on our sidewalk within a week. Mr. Jingles did an excellent job. Although "fixing sidewalk cracks" was not on our priority list, he made it a good experience. I recommend Professional Concrete Services. We will call on him again if we need him to do more concrete work. read more

Jingles and his crew was terrific! Super-easy to work with (mostly via email, which is how I like it!), great price for the sidewalk repair in front of our house, quick and professional work on the day of, and great follow-up. As the work started, we realized we wanted to enlarge the area around our street tree - which required that Jingles make some careful cuts in an existing sidewalk square. He did so perfectly! Jingles even hung around for a while to keep the concrete un-graffitied while it was setting. I give the highest of recommendations. read more

Mr. Jingles is a fine young man (he says he's 84 but I don't believe it). He fixed our roots buckled sidewalk and redid our walkway to the front door so there no steps. He and his crew were wonderful and easy to work with. read more

I am very happy with the entire experience of working with this company. Mr. Jingles was highly recommended to me and his work was right on. He came out within a day to give me an estimate which he provided in writing. When I was ready to do the work, he and his very polite crew arrived 15 minutes early and ready to work. They were organized, worked like a team, and were clearly experienced (not day laborers.) Mr. Jingles was actively involved in the work as well. My new driveway and partial garage were dug up in the time he said it would take. The crew quickly cleaned up along the way and were attentive to pedestrian traffic. A woman got a flat tire in front of my house, and one of the crew went out to change her tire, for which she was incredibly grateful. I was impressed. The workers on the crew were meticulous and did an excellent job cleaning up at the end of the day, including blowing out and hosing down inside my garage. The crew came by to check on their work two days later. When they removed the lumber framing, they even took more time to sand down some imperfections they saw. I thought the work was perfect and showed great attention to details such as making perfect lines in the sidewalk for drainage that matched exactly to the existing pattern. It was a total pleasure working with Mr. Jingles. Not one issue or thing I would have done differently. I highly recommend you give him a call. read more

I got a notice from the City requiring me to fix the sidewalk in front of our house. I sent a copy of the notice and a photograph of the sidewalk to a few concrete contractors, got a few bids, including the lowest, a very reasonable price from Mr Jingles at Professional Concrete Services. I told him I would like him to do the work. He got a permit, showed up on time and on schedule and did a very neat job. Mr Jingles is a reliable, honest and entertaining guy. His crew was careful and good natured. I really appreciate their attitude and the work that they did. read more

After a number of disappointments with other concrete companies not providing bids, or not returning calls. After so many positive reviews, I was very eager to meet up with Jingles, who actually answered the phone when I initially called and met with me the next day. He was charming and energetic and did not indicate any issues about providing a bid for this job (driveway and sidewalk, patio in back). I mentioned that I had companies leave me hanging and didn't understand lack of response I recently had from another company (thank you Kid). Well I waited for several days and thought I would check back. Left a voicemail to please give me a call as to when we might get the estimate. No response. I called again a day later and Jingles picked up. He assured me that he would send me a bid that night . . .that was over a week ago. I am pretty annoyed that a "Professional . . . Service" company cannot be bothered to communicate simply that he is not able to do the job! I don't think that is asking too much but apparently and unfortunately, Jingles now falls into the category of thoughtless vendors who are too busy to care. read more

A bit overdue but better later than never. We hired Professional Concrete Services (Donald Jingles) in July 2018 to completely redo the driveway and walkways of my parents' house. Just poured cement nothing fancy. Initially the City marked up a few sidewalk squares for replacement/correction but we decided that whoever was going to fix the squares might as well replace the whole front, just to make everything more uniform and for curb appeal. We got several bids and Professional Concrete Services quote was definitely the lowest of them all, like SIGNIFICANTLY less. A bit skeptical at first but based on reviews and other research, we pulled the trigger. Donald was very attentive and responsive. He told us that he was going to take care of everything, permits, paperwork for the City, etc. Donald is very knowledgeable and was honest and upfront about everything. Donald and his team took 2 days to complete the job and the results look great. Happy to report that after 3 years, the concrete still looks new. We've had several neighbors/passerby's ask which company we used as they were so impressed with the results. Definitely recommend this company for any and all concrete needs. read more

I needed about 80 square feet of sidewalk paved in a hurry. Tried six companies - none of them gave me the time of day except Mr. Jingles. He was able to do the job on short notice for a very reasonable price. His crew was professional, polite and cleaned up everything. read more

Talked to Donald on the phone a couple of times to set up an appointment for him to come out and look at my new space. He asked me to send him an email with the time to remind him because he was on a job. I texted and emailed. When it was time to meet, I went over to my new space to wait. An hour goes by, gave him a call, no answer. Another hour goes by, gave him a call, no answer. Another hour goes by and I text and call pretty much to beg him to at least let me know if he'll be by or not so I wouldn't have to be there anymore and get on with my day. Not a peep. It sounded promising on the phone but was disappointed that nothing came of it. read more

Mr. Donald Jingles is a very skilled, honest, warm, positive, and entertaining fellow. He and his well-managed crew of two just repaired our sidewalk, curb and driveway after a major sewer line replacement. He is a craftsman at his trade who clearly takes pride and integrity in the result. He does the final finish himself, and is on site for the whole job. His advice to his crew is subtle, gentle, and jocular, and they listen. The crew was polite and attentive to our suggestions. Everybody could communicate well and had a good sense of humor. Altogether one of our best experiences with contractors in the City. We would definitely call on Professional Concrete Services again. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Donald at the Professional Concrete Service. Our property in SF received some sidewalk marks from the city that some work is needed for our concrete sidewalk. The city officials left some ambiguous green marks on the street and did not leave any official notice. So I reached out to Professional Concrete Service for help. Donald is extremely professional and speedy. He visited our property on the day I made the call and called me back on the same day to inform me that nothing needed to be done. Apparently, only white marked items require homeowners to expense and fix on their own. I was impressed with Donald because not only was he fast in responding, but he also took the time to call me back even though nothing needed to be done. The kind of relief that his call provided to me was tremendous. I would definitely be happy to work with Donald in the future for any work that our HOA needs. I highly recommend Donald for his professionalism and speedy response time. read more

I had a skunk dig under my foundation . It took me a month to get her and her kits out from underneath. I needed 2 holes closed up, but was worried about how far down the foundation went and if she would be able to get in again. I called 2 concrete companies and didn't get an answer ( this was during Covid shelter in place). I saw the positive reviews of Mr Jingles and called him. He answered right away came out the same day to evaluate and made an appointment for the work in 2 days. He and his very nice assistant came 15 minutes early and after checking again with me on what work I wanted done, got down to it. He discovered that the foundation went quite a ways down and that only one area needed a deep dig and put in a beautiful 3 foot long 3 foot deep by 4 inch concrete fix completely closing up the problem area. He and his assistant worked straight for 3 hours, no breaks. He checked with me throughout and showed me honestly what needed to be done. I am very glad that this sweet honest and kind professional was the man who took care of my problem. Absolutely recommend. read more

Donald was so great about responding immediately when our tree was uprooting the pavement. He dropped everything to check out our problem and had it repaired the next day. Jingles responded to my call and came out that very day to give me a reasonable estimate. He came out with his crew the very next day and laid out the concrete for my sidewalk. His crew was respectful and Jingles made sure they did a great job. He is full of enthusiasm and has a great work ethic. He even included disposing some brick in my garden in his initial estimate. I would hire him again in a flash. read more

The city cited me for a driveway that has been in place for 100 years. The bureaucrats were completely unhelpful. One contractor came out and said "I wouldn''t fix it if I were you". I saw Donald doing a job down the street and gave him a call. He came out and took my city paperwork, dealt with those folks in the offices, came out and did the work to my complete satisfaction. Highly recommended. read more

FIVE STARS is as good as it gets. Donald Jingles has earned all five. The estimate was provided in an email the day after the inspection as Donald had advised it would be. The price was very competitive and the work completed on time and very well done. We and our next door neighbors have a beautiful new sidewalks and I have a new curb and gutter. Donald's business card sums up his approach, it says, "Delivering Satisfaction not Excuses" That perfectly describes my experience. read more

You would be doing yourself a disservice not to consider Professional Concrete Service, Mr Jingles answers you back promptly, listens to your concerns and professionally addresses them. In the small world of San Francisco concrete contractors, these are rare attributes. He runs a lean operation and and passes the savings in offering a good price - it was the best I could get. He is considerate of the stress in dealing with the Sidewalk Inspection and Repair process and the compressed 30 day window in which I had to get the work done and delivered! I could not ask for more, so he has my strongest recommendation. read more

Jingles is great! He was easy to work with, timely, well priced and professional. We contacted Jingles for an estimate for driveway work. He came to view the site (after putting us off for two weeks) and promised an estimate by the end of the week. Over a month passed without an estimate - or any word from Jingles, notwithstanding our multiple follow-up emails and voice mails inquiring about the estimate. His business card proclaims: "delivering satisfaction, not excuses." But the truth in our case was that he proved himself incapable of delivering even excuses, much less satisfaction. Very unprofessional. read more

Working with Donald Jingles was a pleasure. We made plans with our neighbor to have a tree removed. Because of damage done to the sidewalk by the tree roots, portions of it needed to be replaced. We planned to have Professional Concrete Service come out in advance of removing the tree to take up the concrete, then come back after to replace it. At the last minute, the tree removal company rescheduled the job for one week later. Mr. Jingles was very accommodating and agreed to come out the following week. He consulted with us and the tree removal company in advance, and answered all of our questions. He took care of getting the permit and provided us with a copy. The tree removal took one day longer than planned, but again, Mr. Jingles was very accommodating. He took care to take up and replace the sidewalk in stages so that it was always possible for pedestrians to pass (we live on a very busy street). The cost was reasonable, and most importantly the sidewalk looks great! We will definitely contact Professional Concrete Service anytime we need work done. read more

We are really grateful to have found Mr. Jingles! We interviewed over 10 concrete guys to redo our driveway. It had an unfortunate incline, scraping the bottom of the car each time we drove into the driveway, especially with heavy loads. But we needed to maintain the drainage slope to avoid flooding our garage. Got lots of less-than-optimistic suggestions; one contractor even told us to just get a new car with a higher undercarriage :/. Mr. Jingles figured out how to maintain the slope and drainage. He acquired the permits and it worked out great! That's what comes with this kind of immense experience and work ethic. The final driveway looks and functions better than we could have even imagined. The crew even built a separate curb for the flowerbed. We were so impressed! We also used Mr. Jingles' plumber recommendation (Eric Brand) to scope and replace a blocked clean out under the driveway. Pricing for them both was competitive. Scheduling was slightly unpredictable for the driveway. Otherwise, highly recommend. read more

Proprietor owner Donald Jingles and his crew redid eight sidewalk squares to lower my driveway ramp from the curb into my Richmond District house garage. The bottom of my front bumpers were always scrapping against a sidewalk peak in the driveway. This needed to end. His experienced and well trained crew, sealed off the area, cut the squares, jack hammered out the old concrete, poured new concrete and carefully laid out the new driveway. Done in six hours. The finished product looked professionally done and I was able to drive on it within 78 hours. He and his crew were friendly, neat, and organized. The sidewalk was kept clean and minimized foot traffic obstruction. My neighbor hired him to replace over 20 sidewalk squares and after seeing his work I was convinced he was the one. While Jingles might be hard to reach, I had no trouble but I kept calling and was rewarded with a very reasonable quote and excellent work. At least get a quote and you won't be disappointed with the work. I'm not. read more
