I am extremely happy with this place!! I'm helping my mom kidnap my dad's truck for a Christmas gift. He has a 1996 Dodge Ram and the poor truck needs a new paint job and a new stereo. My dad commutes to the bay area from Manteca and he spends a lot of time on the road. His stereo inside his truck only plays AM stations. So for Christmas, we kidnapped the truck. We got a brand new paint job on the truck and want to get a new stereo put in for him. We went to Best Buy and took a look at prices. For a basic stereo that is just AM/FM and CD, was around $50 with $65 installation charge and with extra pieces and parts to complete the installation was going to come out to around $180-190. The store also estimated about an hour to an hour and a half to do the job. My fiance and I checked out Professional Auto. We both live in Manteca and drive by this store all the time. We just never checked it out before. When we walked inside, Alex the store manager greeted us and was very friendly! He is a total sweetheart! We picked out a basic stereo and Alex told us he wouldn't charge us for the labor or installation or for the extra parts you need to install the stereo. He quoted us $119 for the stereo we picked out and thats all he was going to charge us. I was very happy with what he quoted us and it was only going to take 15-30 minutes for them to install it. I brought my mom to the store to check it out and we ended up with going with a different stereo for $140 flat. We were able to drop the truck off right before our appointment to take the truck to get painted and everything was done in time! When we went to go pick up the truck, Alex gave aux cables to my mom, my fiance, and myself for our cars as a gift! He is super sweet! Everything turned out great! After we picked up the truck, we noticed that the blinkers, headlights, and reverse lights weren't working. I freaked out because this truck is a Christmas gift! I called Alex back and asked if it was possible if a wire was unplugged or something during the installation. I don't know a lot about cars lol Alex told me to bring the truck down and they'll take a look at it for me. They spent an hour looking at the truck for us and found out that it was a fuse that went out for the blinkers and headlights. The stereo installation had nothing to do with the fuse hahahaha Alex didn't charge us at all to look at the truck for us. Love this shop. I believe I have been going to him for 6 to 7 years now. I have always brought in my cars and needed full systems. I have never paid anything close to full price, even internet prices. Acura Integra, Subaru Impreza, and a Porsche Boxster, have all had systems put in them. :::::::::::::::PLEASE READ BELOW::::::::::::::::::: I realize some of these people feel like they paid more for something or that they are upset with what kind of deal they "think they got," but its just like any sells place, the more you buy the better he works with you. If you didn't get the customer service you think you should have received, you may have not realized that some of the guys there don't speak English well, but holy shit can they put in a system and fast! Don't feel bad about it, only deal with the boss, and be patient. He will be more than happy to help if you explain your situation. I recently just picked up the Porsche, wanted to keep my system in my Subaru. So I drove all the way from Stockton, let him know what was going on. He cut me a deal on the deck, I don't think I had to pay for it to be installed, and the installer, repackaged my old deck to keep it safe. I personally will bring my cars to him every time. Take the time to BS with him, get to know him, and work with him. He will be more than happy to build a relationship with you. After all, if you think he charged you, go to Best Buy and ask what they charge. I trust him because of what he has done for me in the past. I am quite confused about some of these past reviews. A friend recommended this place to me and I am so happy he did. It was great customer service: friendly, honest, and efficient. I bought a new stereo for my car. In the beginning I was not sure which one to get and which would be best for me. They kindly explained the differences between the various stereos and were very thorough and honest. They did not try and sell me the most expensive one for their benefit, which was really nice, especially since I was on a budget. After I chose which one I wanted, I checked online just to make sure it was fairly priced, and it was. They were offering the cheapest prices in comparison to many other shops and retail stores. After purchasing the stereo and having it installed, they were not in a hurry to rush me out of the shop. They explained some interesting functions, saving me time from reading the manual. They said if I encountered any problems to come back and they would help me accordingly, which is also very comforting! Overall this was a great place, they truly care about their customers and want them to be satisfied with their product. I highly recommend this place to anyone. This is by far the best car audio and security system store that I've ever been to. Their customer service is beyond amazing. The manager there is Alex and is very friendly and has no problem giving you honest and real suggestions on what would be best for you based on what you're looking for. The employees have no problem test fitting, demonstrating, or unboxing products to ensure that you are getting the best quality product prior to your purchase or install. They carry very good quality products which gives you piece of mind for years to come. I had 2 amplifiers, 2 subwoofers, and new door speakers installed here on my 2014 Camaro and I can honestly say that it almost looks factory. All of the work they do is very clean and they don't take short cuts. The installation is very thorough and they always make sure that you are happy with the job before you leave. I would highly recommend this place to any friend. I wouldn't let them go anywhere else. Pretty soon I'll be purchasing and having a security system installed from Professional Auto Stereo & Security, and there is no doubt in my mind that I'll be coming here to get it. i was actually an employee here and from the last two reviews i have read hold 100% truth. @ garrett nabil is alex, he also used to go by as nick a long time ago. i was always told to not help customers for the simple fact of when he was "making a sale" he would say things like you drive a bmw? buy this clarion it is from germany, just so he could over charge the customer. this shop is very cheap and loves to cut corners on a daily basis. Alex once sold a pair of brand new alpine speakers to a kid driving a civic. and while doing the install of the rear speakers i found i was installing the same exact set of speakers that the kid already had and they were working perfectly. alex then takes those speakers and sells then to another customer with out the kids knowledge. very shady people. i would no trust the sales staff and far as i could throw them. also depending on your race you WILL get charged differently, so be warned. Avoid this shop at all cost. i would recommend going to the best buy in manteca for better prices and a guaranteed install every time. also would go too audio pros or car audio outlaws on mchenrey in modesto. read more

I'm not happy with my service very unprofessional and odd. I went in there asking if they could do a diagnostic on my Toyota sienna stock stereo a guy out came and sat in my car for like a minute. He said your stereo is no good come inside and I'll show you one with the same features and more. Anyway $1300 later. So they install the next day and they called me to come pick up. I show up to get my van and supposedly they installed the wrong stuff so I had to sit there and wait until they switched it out. Leave there thinking I don't know how to work the stereo I'll figure it out. Since the first day getting it back The stereo would look like it was playing but nothing was coming out of the speakers sometimes that would last a couple minutes longs 45 minutes then the speakers would come on I took it back to them and they said oh now it's your amp and sub woofer now so we're just going to bypass those and it should work just fine. I will never go there again and I want to return the stuff I got from them I still have the receipt and boxes but they say sales are all final no returns also I found the stuff much cheaper online :/ read more

Excellent customer service by Alex and team! The tinted windows in my Hyundai Sonata came out awesome! While i was there I ended up purchasing a Pioneer NEX7000 for my truck for really good price. They did an amazing job installing that as well as a backup camera. There was some minor issues getting the apps portion to work, but Alex worked hard to get this issue resolved as soon as possible. The issue was resolved by the next day. Alex is very professional, honest, knowledgable, and friendly. He takes to heart all the work that goes into each vehicle. His techs are just as smart and great at what they do. I walked away feeling good about my purchase and will return to Pro Auto in Manteca in the future. Great job guys! 06/04/2020 I went to Professional Auto Stereo & Security, I was looking for a stereo, and installation and my speakers installed. Alex and Jimil were friendly, professional, and honest, they worked with me on my budget. Got a Kenwood stereo installed, my speakers were not use able they were cracking and did not sound good, he advised me of the sound quality right away, I was invited into the work area to hear my system and he was right I would not have been a happy camper. I ended up buying speakers at a discounted price and he didn't charge me to reinstall the new speakers. Walked in the door, worked with me on prices same day installed happy customer. Alex hooked me up! Very helpful, great prices and great products. The funny thing about review sites I.E. yelp or others is that the majority of the time you will only find displeased customer's. Happy customers don't have anything to complain about and that's why there are usually less positive remarks than negative. Anyway I needed a whole system for my 86 scottsdale plus an alarm. Alex got me two ten inch pioneer shallows with box, pioneer 6500 deck, alpine mids and tweets, two alpine amps and a viper alarm with electric door locks for $ 1200 installed. This place has the worst service ever, i give this place a negative 10. Seriously I got my system done here and they left all my car messed up , my stuff isn't even put in place right. Their quality in there stuff sucks I literally had to get a new speaker because it blew out he tried charging me, I needed a new amp because it blew out again he tried charging me for it then again, my system messed up and he wanted to charge me for it , in the receipt it specifically says warranty for 12 months it all happened in less then 12 months and he still wanted to charge me for it all. so I went to get dynamat in my car. i paid for it and i noticed it didnt really sound better. i looked at it and it was some generic off brand that was lesser quality. they pulled the bait and switch on me and it seemed pretty shady. i was very displeased i paid good money for it. i went back and at first alex (manager) told me i could not get a refund and was not very cool about it. but after talking to his boss and i told him i would report them to the better business bureau they gave me half my money back and let me keep the off brand stuff. so i give them credit for trying to mend the situation and that's why its 2 stars and not 1. I have been going to pro auto for all my car needs. I have now had them install my whole stereo system (deck, inside speakers, sub and two amps, high pass and low pass) my remote start alarm system (on a manual transmition car) and full tent all around. Quality is always #1 and they stand by there work. Recently I went in for the tint and a new double din deck. They were competitive with the price for each and they always remember me everytime I come in. Came here to get my stereo hooked up and got a really good price and while i was waiting checked out some car alarms. Came back a week later and got a really good deal. Only thing was that i was missing some cables in my doors so my alarm wasnt working perfect but the manager told me to bring the car back once i got em and he'll take care of it. So i went to pick n pull, bought 5 dollar switches and came back and just like they said they installed it and the alarm is at its full potential. These guys are a man of their word. This shop is the best stereo shop I have ever been to. When I looked at the yelp page for professtional auto it looked unfair and not as it really is. I had a system installed in this shop and I burned one sub 13 month after I installed it. I went back to the shop and even though it was after the warrenty they still replaced it for my. Storngly recommend this shop to anyone. It is the oldest stereo shop in manteca and there is a reason behind that. Dont listen to what others say, go and try it your self and you won't regret it. Don't understand the bad reviews, I've used this shop several times; even price checked them on the internet. Their prices are very fair. Their follow up service has been even better. I've taken my truck in a few times (months after purchase) for some sound tweaking and they are happy to make the adjustments. Never charged me for that extra service. You don't get that from an internet purchase. These guys are soooo awesome! My seat heaters and seat power went out in my Hummer a couple days after they installed my stereo. I brought it back to them to see if they could fix it. Well it turned out that it had nothing to do with them of course, BUT after 2 hours Chewy figured it out. Alex kept saying, "don't worry, we'll take care of it!" I definitely recommend Professional Auto Stereo and Security. I am a return customer (x4). Alex has always gone out of his way to provide exceptional service. On one occasion, the Kenwood deck I wanted was out and Alex suggested a similar Kenwood deck. A few days later I returned and explained I wasnt happy with the replacement. He ordered the one I originally wanted and reinstalled at no complaint or charge. He suggested I add some "BOOM" and I originally thought not.
