I had a dashcam installed. I went there a couple of weeks ago because my dashcam didn't work. It was looked at and it was decided that it was probably damaged during a windshield replacement. I was not charged for that and I ordered a new one and had it installed. Great service! read more

Frank found me a great Sony stereo for my Toyota when the JVC I got on eBay turned out to be defective. Expert installers and staff. Fast service, recommended. read more

Came here for a window tint as my cousin was getting her car done same time. I was impressed with the business owners quick reply to messages and being able to take my car in at the same time. Price seemed reasonable and they did a good job on my car. One star off on behalf of my cousin who had debris in her tint, they redid the job another day, but still a bummer they didn't do a good job the first time around. Two thumbs up to the guy and older gentleman who greeted and processed things, they were funny and kept good conversation. read more

We have been taking our cars to Prodigy for the last 15-20 years! Frank, the owner, is one of the most honest business people around. If he quotes you a price, that is the price you are going to pay. He shows you all the available products he has and suggests which ones will meet your needs the best. We were so happy with our cars, we had him come over and tint the windows in our house. It really helps cut down on the heat in our house. If you are looking for a great tinting company, look no further. Prodigy is a one stop shop! read more

I called because I have an Intoxalock device that needed a calibration with only a few hours left and I was out of town from the usual place I go. This placed popped up on my search bar with greats reviews. It was a bonus that a wonderful man named John assisted me and was super kind. We had off topic conversation but it was needed for the day I was having. He's an awesome worker. The name John is significant in my life as many of my family members are named John and one of my best friends that passed away is named John. I believe in coincidences. But besides me being off topic he got me in an out fast and was humble and kind. this review is for his awesome personality and professionalism as well. Hope he sees this Thanks John!! You made my day ! read more

Prodigy Car Audio & Tint - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Manteca, California

The 3 year warranty JUST ran out . I mean not more than 30 days ago , I found this out about my window tint that Frank over Prodigy Audio in Manteca installed because the passenger side window tint is coming undone. I called Prodigy to see what type of warranty I had left , if any and was informed it had just lapse. I asked if there is something we can work out because I do spend money there and was basically told that they're not going to do anything because " Technically, it is illegal to have tint on the front half windows of a passenger car . Well , Technically it's also illegal to steal from someone as well . We all know that the cops can pull you over and write you up for illegal tint . WE ALSO KNOW that every tint shop in Nor Cal will put tint on your front windows , and they know it's illegal and they charge about $300 for that illegal practice. I was not looking for a freebie, I do however need to get my tint redid , and now some other shop is going to get that easy money . And maybe you should reread the original post .....I said I was willing to pay . So next ! read more

Wanted a little more bump in my trunk but nothing too major, costly or bulky. We were given a few options of things that would work well and we're pleased with the level of knowledge, availability of products and immediate ability to install. Best shop in town, had the unfortunate experience of going to two other shops before coming here but Prodigy fixed what the two other shops had done incorrectly. Have a 2019 kia optima all I needed was some bass. They didn't sell me anything I didn't need. Left stock speakers in and thru in two 12" subwoofer and a Amp and other things. But damn that made a big difference. Thank you for everything read more

My husband and I took both our vehicles in today to have our windows tinted. We spent some time in there the day before asking questions about the different levels of tint that was offered. Frank and Erik were so professional and understanding with all of my questions. When we picked our vehicles up today we were 150% satisfied! My car windows had super dark tent on them from a previous owner. The job they did removing the old tint and applying the new tint is perfect! Great company. I will be referring all my friends and family. Thank you Frank and Erik! Frank also does tinting I'm home windows, we plan on having him come out to give us an estimate. read more

I would first like to say that I got a recommendation to Prodigy from the small business page on FB. My normal guy who does speakers and tinting moved out of state recently and it is very hard to find a trustful speaker instillation place. I looked up the yelp reviews and was very happy with what I read but still nervous. I am more than willing to spend my money for what I want but at the same time it's hard when I have almost ZERO knowledge other then what my last system sounded like. I called a few different shops around Stockton and Manteca, but Jacob made me feel comfortable and like he actually wanted my business so I scheduled an appointment. I had him help me pick what was best for my car to achieve the sound I wanted. He was very helpful and totally did not try and over sell me on anything. In fact he asked me several times about what I wanted to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. This would be a normal 5 stars "yeah I was happy" review however I feel like they went above and beyond so it's a 5+ review. Reasons I was probably difficult to work with from the start: 1. My firm rule was everything had to be hidden and they could not take up any space in the back because I have to fit my sons medical equipment and wheel chair in the back. 2. The day before my speakers were due to install I called and asked to add tint to my windows. Even tho they were very busy they were able to get it done for me. 3. The speakers were making a weird high pitched sound and when I brought it back they never once made me feel like I was crazy or tell me that is how it should sound. 4. After they did a temporary fix with the amp I felt like my blinker got super loud... Again am I crazy? Nope, when I came back they completely knew what I was talking about. 5. Because they are so busy they offed to work on it same day so I didn't have to wait 3 more weeks for a Saturday to open up. I truly appreciate all of their help, for the genuine concern that I got what I wanted and that I was happy with my purchase. Jacob and Frank were AMAZING, they were very respectful from the beginning to end. To be honest I know from experience how awful some shops can treat a woman so finding someplace that is trustworthy is a big deal. Not gonna lie I was super prepared to be a bitch if I needed to but it never even once came close to that level. Even after all of the issues I was having they still told me to bring it back at any time it didn't sound right and they would check it. Thanks so much to Jacob, Frank and all of the guys in the shop for working in 110* weather to make sure I was happy. read more

5 star service. Great recommendations, meticulous workmanship, at a great price. Extremely happy.

Yes Frank is the best!!!!! I brought in my BMW 2018 330E to get Apple car play, new subwoofers, and tints. Everyone-- even the dealership, and two other car places told me they couldn't do what I wanted. But Frank and his crew did an amazing job with my vehicle and also educated me on all the best components that go with my car. I left Prodigy audio super happy with all the stuff I needed personally in my new car. read more

We came here for 3 of our cars & received great work and service each time. Definitely recommend this shop, very reliable.

I have a 2018 Tundra Crewmax. I had Prodigy install a Memphis system in the truck with a digital sound processor. At the same time I had the vehicle tinted. The system install was perfect everything neatly loomed and and zip tied perfectly. Frank tuned the system and it sounded perfect. These systems take some time to install, they knocked this out of the park, and they worked overtime and late to get my truck done. The window tint was awesome, well done and the machine cut is the only way to go. I would recommend this shop for any work you need. Experienced and professional. I am truly enjoying my tint and the system. Well done Prodigy! read more

Been in contact with Frank from Prodigy for about a month before deciding where I was going to get my Truck stereo system installed. Frank was patient and had excellent customer service. I went solely on yelp reviews and excellent response and quickly from Frank. Setup my appointment and Frank and Prodigy delivered. System was completed cleanly, ontime as stated and for a great price. Prodigy has earned a new customer and I will definitely be back. I would recommend this establishment to anyone wanting car audio support or installation. I did not get any windows tinted, but I did overhear Frank talking to a customer regarding tint and I can tell you he knows what he is talking about for both audio and tint. Thanks again!! read more

Yelp emailed me about my review of here and extreme car audio. This place didn't even bother to go in my car before they started telling us that we would need a JBL module for our van which it doesn't even have. So make sure you do your research before believing anything on Yelp and before you deal with these people and extreme car audio. Cause obviously yelp will remove legitimate reviews if the owners pay them. read more
