Zero stars. Scott Gilbert came right out to fix our fridge strip which was a minor fix. Charged $129 (service call). Within an hour fridge strip was broken. Wanted to cancel the check, but I am sure they cashed it asap because we have been trying to contact them...no answering machine set up, and no return phone calls. Called Tues, got an appt for Wed. Wed came, and they called and asked if they could come out Thurs since they had a big commercial job that was taking longer than expected. I say no problem and reschedule for Thurs 1-3. Thurs at 3, I call to ask for a status update and was told I'd get a call right back. I call back at 4:50 to see if they are coming today and get to a voicemail that isn't set up. I call back on Friday at 11:40 to see what is going on and was told the rep was on the other line and would call me back. Called back again at 2:30 and 4:30 and get no answer or vm. Called Volt Appliance and got appt set for Monday at 10am (and they disclosed their service visit fee during the call, which this CO didn't). What a needless waste of time and effort. Needed a repair on my fridge and arranged a callout which they could only manage after 48 hours. Called Linda within the window provided and she assured they would call me back soon. About an hour outside the window, she calls and says that they may make it. Do not trust this "unreliable" vendor with servicing your appliances and rather stick to professionals. The fridge still not working. We called the company number almost 3nweeks ago and left a message with a lady, we sill waiting for a call back. Also, We have been trying to contact him to the 2 phone numbers he gave us and now the 2 numbers are either not accepting calls at this time or the VM mailbox has not been setup. Guy came on 7/30 because my washer has not been spinning properly. Didn't seem to know what was wrong. Told me I needed a new belt. He returned on 8/1, came in, went back to his truck, then to my laundry room. Was in there barely two minutes when he came out and said he was done; I commented on this. He said he had only to tip the washer back and change the belt. I paid him $169 plus tax. Had me make the check to Scott Gilbert, saying he was the owner. On 8/5 when I did my laundry, still had the same problem. Called and made an appointment for between 2 and 4 on 8/6 (spoke with Linda). Called her at 4 and was told Scott was running behind. No show. Made an additional appointment between 12 and 2 on 8/7 (spoke with John). Again, no show. And no calls. Called them yesterday to request my money back. Linda told me she would call me this morning to tell me when accountant would be returning my payment. No call. Called her this afternoon and she told me she hadn't heard from the accountant yet. I got this company by mistake. Thought I was calling Mr. Appliance, a company I worked with before and was pleased with. Google pops up with this company's name when you enter Mr. Appliance which is how I called the wrong company. Otherwise, would have checked the reviews first and would never have called Professional Appliance -- which is what Scott Gilbert said the company name is, even though the phone number brings up Courtesy Appliance. Lots going on that's really fishy! Probably going to have to take legal action to get my money back. I also just noticed that Scott wrote on the receipt: "Loaded and tested OK." The first time the guy came out he went to move the refrigerator and broke an antique vase that was the top. did not seem to care. All he had to do was tell me to move it and I would have. Replaced the motherboard and said it should be fine. Had to call him back because the refrigerator wasn't working again. Said he had to do something with the fan. 2 weeks into it the refrigerator still doesn't work and now they will not return our call even though they gave us a warranty. Very unprofessional., now the manufacturer is coming out and is charging us $85 for the trip charge alone. This place is a scam. Their voicemail is not even set up. read more

I tried to use these guys today. When I called I explained to them exactly what the problem was and asked if they would be able to repair today. Answer was yes. They were an hour late and then the repairman told me he couldn't fix it. I told him I was told his company would be able to take care of it today and I did tell him I was pissed. He packed up his bag, left screws on top of the machine and left. Someone from the company called me about 10 minutes later and suggested I needed to get layed. I guess that says it all read more

WARNING do not do business with this company. They are a total scam called out to repair a leaking washer. Repair guy named Scott came to our house claimed to be the owner of the company. They would only accept cash or a check made out to Scott not the company name. Looked at the problem and said he could fix it. Came out the next day put in the new part. Washer still leaked, called them to come back out and fix it. Scott came back out and claimed that the water was not coming from the washer, said that it must be coming up from the floor. This is a concrete floor with tile over top, there was no water coming up, water was clearly coming from the washer. We called them numerous times to come back out, they made appointments and never showed up. Now they refuse to answer our calls and have no voicemail set up to leave a message. Paid them 300 and never had a proper repair done. Now we are forced to find another repair company. Also did some research on them the address listed for this company is a trailer park in Tampa. Please learn from our mistake and do not use them. read more

Came out on a Saturday and repair person Scott told me I needed a conditioner motor fan for my refrigerator freezer that was not keeping the ice cream frozen. Told me that GE parts were very expensive. Told me the part was $250- + tax and agreed to also repair the broken water dispenser in front of the freezer side of my refrigerator which hadn't worked in years for the included price- a pretty quick repair. I agreed for him to make the repairs. He said he didn't have the part number of the conditioner motor fan. He came back on Mon. and Tues. to finish the repair. He had needed another small part and the part was no good so he had to go to the local Lowe's to get this other part. He also had me make the check out to Scott ------- and not the company name- Courtesy Appliance Repair. I called GE after the fact on that Wed. or Thurs.giving them my refrigerator model number and serial number. GE factory parts told me that the part was only $90.-- (I saw this part on Amazon for about $66-- or so). Scott was at my home 3 different days and spent 1 hr. 10 minutes total repair time. Don't know what Courtesy Appliance Repair (Scott's) labor charge was per hour, but I was definitely overcharged $160-- for the GE conditioner motor fan although he did repair my water dispenser. Could have been worse, but just wanted to let the buyer beware about this company. read more

STAY AWAY - My Maytag washer was not working correctly so I found the name and number for what is now called "Professional Appliance". They were supposed to come out between 12-2 on a Tuesday, then it was 2-4 on a Tuesday, then it was 3-5 on a Tuesday. At 5 pm they had still not showed up so I called and Linda, she told me they were in plant city and would be to my place by 7, 7 pm came and went and I had to call and let them know it was too late for that evening so Linda said they would come first thing on Wed. Scott Gilbert comes, tells me my drain pump needs to be replaced, had me write out a check directly to him as he is the owner. I did so and he left. I ran the washer through empty cycle to make sure it was working and the errors occurred again. I called Linda took me 3 times to get through, I guess they don't have voice mail setup. She told me she would call back in 30 min. after I explained the issue is not resolved. 3 hrs. later I get a call back saying they will be here the next day between 2-4. By this time I had found reviews by looking up using phone number since the business name changed. I cancelled my check and told them not to bother. Today I went to my washer to scan the QR code so I could get the machine info. for booking a new technician, seems Scott took it upon himself to scratch off the serial number, bar code, and QR code on my machine. It was perfect before he entered my house no scratches or anything, now it is completely gone. I wish there was something more I could do to report this fraud. I called they took all my info never called me back I called a few days later, blamed it on another lady I don't think they had one. Gave them tenants info to call her to set up appt. To repair frig. Leaking.. said 2 -4 window. No show then they call and said 4.30 than they called and said 5.30.tenant said ok and waited.
