I've been seeing her for my Brazilian waxes, and somehow she manages to make an experience that involves hot wax and pain feel like catching up with a friend. The entire appointment flies by because we're busy talking about life, relationships, and whatever random chaos I've gotten myself into that week. What really sets her apart is how thorough she is. She doesn't just slap on some wax and call it a day. She takes her time, gets every nook and cranny, and will even break out the tweezers for those stubborn little hairs that refuse to cooperate. The attention to detail is unmatched. She's also taught me so much about preventing ingrown hairs, which has been a total game changer. I leave every appointment smoother and more educated than when I walked in. Most importantly, I've never felt awkward with her. At this point, I feel more comfortable talking to Desiree than I do at some doctor's appointments. If you've ever been nervous about getting a Brazilian, she's exactly the kind of person you want holding the wax stick. 10/10. My downstairs area and I are both very grateful.

My appointment was at 11:30 today and I was seen by Brie,I told her my situation about how my dermatologist recommended I wax instead of shave due to skin irritation. Brie was so understanding, and professional the entire time! she engaged in pleasant conversation which really helped distract me for the minor discomfort i felt from the waxing process. She made me feel very comfortable, especially given the circumstance lol It really is not as painful and people make it out to be. I would say it was more uncomfortable then painful. The waxing process probably took about 20 min., if that. i am so happy with the result, i ended up making another appointment for next month! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try waxing instead of shaving, especially if its your first time. =)

However, on my next two visits, I had the same brow lady back to back who took SO long to thread my brows. She kept going back and forth with the thread, tweezers, scissors to trim, and repeat. Kept asking me to pull down on my eyelid and tilt my face a bunch of different ways. It was so painful. I felt like she was shaping my brows one hair at a time. She took forever and I was just really frustrated about how slow and time consuming the process was. My brows didn't even look that great after, i could have reproduced those results at home with a face razor for free. She was probably learning and maybe this is her first time on the job or something, but it was just a very frustrating process, especially given that I could barely speak to her in English and actually communicate. I've given this place multiple chances after my one good experience, but the same lady (don't remember her name) was at both for some reason and did a horrible job each time. I don't recommend.

Alicia, the nail technician was extremely rude. She is practically yelling at me blaming me for turning on the fan with lights. She was very accusatory and yellung at me with no respect (ver appalling) and I told Henry the co-owner and did not talked to her or even apologized to me that it happened. Very unprofessional. They should call their nail salon Unprofessional Salon. Technician, named Luanne is blaming me that I did not give tip to Henry, she made me look like a liar. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Finally we picked a gold color when I asked her if she could do two coats she stated no because it would not dry I said OK even though I really wanted 2 coats so the gold would be brighter. She continued to be rude to me the entire time to the point where I cried from how stressful a nail experience could be. I had been there since 2pm. A lovely woman named Mindy put my top coat on and I asked her if it was true that they cant do two coats because it wouldnt dry she said no thats not true so I became very upset but Lucy not only lying to me but rushing and dismissing my needs as a client. The owner proceeded to yell at me saying she sent 4 technicians to help me just so I could be happy and then proceeded to yell at Mindy in front of me for telling me that she can do more than one coat. Mindy did make my design darker. After all was said and done they charged me $75 after a $10 discount for making me cry. Before I left I asked to speak to the owner one last time so that I could tell her how I was treated by Lucy to which she blew me off and said she was busy. I told her it wasn't a problem and I could wait she told me no id have to wait 4 hours because she has too many people waiting for her. It is no wonder that Lucy treats clients the way she does because the owner of the salon is no better. The owner and Lucy are absolutely horrendous. The owner reprimanding associates in front of customers and Lucy treating me horribly. Not only that but I paid and just wanted to leave but no the owner made a huge scene infront of every customer in the nail salon by yelling and me and Mindy. How embarrassing. If I were you who is reading this I would pick absolutely any other nail salon because this place was the worst Ive ever been treated and I deal with customer service for a living. UPDATE..... I booked and appointment at Nails By Holly in Mission Viejo and they redid my nails from scratch and knocked it out of the park! My nail tech was Hanna and she was gentle, kind, patient, and extremely talented! If your looking for a place thats amazing and don't want sub-par zero effort work please consider going to Nails By Holly in Mission Viejo instead!
