Excellent SNS powder manicure by Tammy and pedicure by Lily. Tammy shaped my nails perfectly and took her time, ensuring that I liked the shape as she worked. The deluxe pedicure was $3 off which I believe is a weekday special. Lily was meticulous in all aspects of the pedi and gave a thorough massage. This salon does get busy so it's best to make an appointment. Also, some of their regular polishes seemed old and you might be better off bringing your own. read more

Walked in to get a kids manicure. Sat down right away and the younger woman did a fine job...even got the art on the tiny nails to look good. However, she was eyeballing the 7 yr old and then said " you have lots of hair ..." staring at her upper lip. I laughed it off until I saw my little friend's face. Not. Cool. Hey lady, I could comment on your skin but I have more manners than that - and we're both adults. You get two stars for the work... but you lost three stars because you obviously don't know that commenting on a little girl's facial hair is incredibly rude. Won't be back. read more

I got the deluxe $47 pedicure today. I am seriously disappointed. There are actual scratch marks on the side of my foot where she used the pumice stone too aggressively in an area I had no callus, yet my calluses are still there. The woman doing my service gave an awful massage, in the same awkward spots over and over again, and even left a bruise on the top of my ankle from forceful, repetitive massage in one spot. I'm very disappointed in the pedicure I received from Nancy. I was also getting my nails done by someone else, Nancy asked me what color polish that I want on my toes, I told her I wanted it to match my fingernails, she claimed that I would have to get GEL polish ($16 extra) I had to convince her to please find a matching nail polish. She claimed that would be difficult but they did not have a nail polish to match the gel polish that I was getting on my fingernails. Updated review 11/25/16 - I'm posting a picture of Amy's latest creation and I'm absolutely shook! It's the coffin shaped mint green nails with diamond details. I must add that to this day, I have never broken a nail since I've met Amy. I also don't get hang nails anymore. And get this you guys- this is still so insane to me- she didn't use any tips on my nails or any free-form acrylic! That's right these are my real nails and they're sooo long! Amy does an acrylic overlay with gelish to keep them nice and strong. I work in a hair salon, so I am extremely hard on my hands; they're constantly being soaked in water and exposed to chemicals. Despite that, I can still go 2-3 weeks. She takes such good care of me and her designs are always amazing. Every time I see her I joke, "How are we going to top this next time?" Then I see her again and she just does. This woman is a magician, I swear. Ask for Amy next time you're in if you want someone who can REALLY take good care of your nails. read more

Went here for the first time a few days ago and I definitely won't be coming back. On a positive note, I love the color choices and I got exactly what I was looking for. Many other places don't have a huge variety of nudes, but they had plenty for all skin tones. In addition, the place was very clean and well decorated. A lot of my friends regularly come to this place, and I really did want to like it. To start, I got a fill and was cut several times when taking off my previous color. To make it worse, I've never had a more uneven application. It's seriously so bumpy, bad, thick in the middle and thin on the tips, and not consistent throughout. Maybe it was just my technician but my nails look awful. To top it off, I asked for a coffin shape and got anything but that. One or two nails are a true coffin shape, and the others are square, rounded square, too narrow coffin, or too thick of a coffin. Literally NONE of the nail shapes match each other. Even worse, they charged me an extra $5 for a coffin shape, which they didn't warn me about when I asked. Nail lengths are even uneven and don't match the other hand. Absolutely nothing is consistent with this set. As a final step, she went back and shaved off my real nail that was growing pretty long under my acrylics.. but only cut HALF of one nail. Leaving me with uneven real nails for when these acrylics come off. Literally one half of a single nail is long and the other half is cut down?? It cost $32 for a just a fill, $2 for a broken nail, and $5 for a coffin shape, adding to $37 not including tip(which I reluctantly still gave) I usually go to be polished in San Marcos for $30 for a full set and will be sticking to that. read more

I've been going to ProfessioNAIL every 2 to 3 weeks for the past 2 years. I love this nail salon! It is very clean inside and they have a wide selection of gel colors to choose from. All of the employees are caring and friendly. The guy at the front is very welcoming and will always try to squeeze you in without an appointment, even if they are busy. My favorite girl to go to is Teresa. She does the best nails and designs. She can copy anything from a picture you show her and comes up with creative stuff on her own too! Called in to make an appointment for 4 people-3 spa pedicures and a polish change. We walked in 10 min before our appt and they were actually ready for us! It's very rare to have a nail appt start on time, but I've never had one start early! They were definitely busy and kept a constant flow of clients coming in an out yet no one seemed to wait long even without appointments. I love when a business values my time and respects the fact that this is just one of the many things I have to do today. The first time I came here it was for a mani/pedi plus eyebrow wax. The price was cheap because I came in on a weekday and they were having a special (plus I paid in cash). I was having a hard time explaining to the girl who did my nails what color I wanted...and even though I showed her a picture of the color she brought something completely different. She finally got a color close enough to what I wanted so I just went with that and it came out nicely. Also the eyebrow wax was quick and the shape was fine so no complaints there. Overall my first experience there was decent so I came back a second time only to end up being disappointed. I had a mani/pedi again but this time I got a french manicure instead of just color. Some of the tips were uneven and the color chipped the same day I got them done. My last problem with this place is that they talk a lot of smack about their customers right in front of them, including myself (however they didn't realize I could understand Vietnamese) - I think it's just really unprofessional..save it for the break room or at least when customers are out of earshot. read more

Not at all impressed with this place. I asked for a fairly simple manicure (would have done it myself although I don't have a steady enough hand) that is a popular look right now, rounded tip with heart designs on the tips. I showed them a few pictures of the ones I liked and had found online. The first girl kept telling me no, and asking if I wanted acrylics with French tip... No. Although I do feel like she more just didn't understand me. So she pulled 4-5 other girls over to look at the picture and talk amongst themselves. A few asked me questions about it. I explained what I wanted.... Just like the picture. Finally a girl came over and told me to move to her chair as she would be doing my manicure. She looked at the picture and I thought she understood. To be fair, she cleaned up my nails very nicely. However, she hit a dead stop because she couldn't do the design. She tried over and over for about 20 mins painting the same hand and starting over. Finally another girl came over and they were arguing over my hands! One girl lined it and the other filled it in with color. But they were getting pretty aggressive grabbing my hands back and forth. I understood that it was probably frustrating to them but they made me feel like I should have just asked for a simple colored manicure. I wouldn't have come in if I wanted that. Anyway, so it finally looked like it's almost over, she asked if I wanted it lined in a different color. I did actually, the reason being is I wanted my nails for a specific sports team. So she "tried" lining them in black however to her that meant just put two black lines no matter how thick or thin around the color, the lines don't have to connect or be finished to the end of the nail. And the other lady was in such a hurry to finish my nails she put the clear coat on and smudged 3 of the lines on one hand. That wouldn't have been so bad if she didn't try to tell me she was done. I know she looked straight at those messy lines and didn't even try to fix them. I had to tell her to fix them not once but twice! Seriously!? She looked very annoyed that I told her to fix them. Sorry, but if I'm paying you an extra $10 to do a design on my nails and you cannot execute it and now I have to pay you $30 for this manicure, you better make sure I'm happy with them...Even after that they were still messy... This is the third time I've been to ProfessioNail. Pricing is fair and the fingers and toes look pretty good when I walk out the door. The location is conveniently located in a strip mall with plenty of parking and with so many chairs I can't imagine there ever being a wait. They work very fast, some of them even using a timer. Here It can feel as though you are part of an assembly line. But you get what you pay for and this isn't La Cost Spa. The experience could be more pleasant if the conversations between manicurists and the others wasn't in a different language - it's extremely rude to have ongoing conversations with your co-workers when you have a patron sitting in your chair. Finally - the massage and texting. The massage was pretty good but it directly correlated with the intensity of the conversation she was having with the others in the salon. She actually stopped twice to text during the pedicure and once during the manicure. The texting was a first, I have never received a service between texts. I am giving 3 stars because one of my previous visits here was really good, the woman engaged in conversation and I didn't even see her phone. read more

Came here with a bridal party (we made a reservation to give them the heads up). We had about 8 girls. Even though they were busy, they were able to accommodate us and it went really well. I wasnt expecting much, but we were all done at about the same time. I was impressed. Ivy did my nails and she did a great job! She didnt shape my nails so square that I would cut myself, which seems to be rare to find. Everyone that worked on us seemed very friendly and was able to replicate some pinterest ideas that some ladies had. The only downside is that when doing a pedicure, you have a choice of a regular pedicure (its at the very bottom of the card they give you) but when you look at the manicure options, there isnt a regular service. You have to add on. On top of that, I got gel, so that was an additional $15 bucks. Seems a little much to me. In total, for the 2nd to lowest priced pedicure, lowest priced manicure and gel nails, came to about $60. Since this was for a wedding the next day, I didnt mind splurging a little bit but I wouldnt normally spend this much. However, they did do a great job and all of us were very happy with the services we received. You also received a discount for paying in cash. Seems like a dollar per service. I got 3 bucks off. I actually really like this place. I've been to horrible nail salons before, but after recently seeing an ad for $13 for a pedicure, I decided to give it a try. I do think I will come back more often. The place was pretty clean and the pedicure itself was very relaxing. The lady who took care of me, Lee, did a precise job and was sweet throughout the whole process. The main downside of the place would be that the workers constantly speak in Vietnamese with each other, which made me feel awkward and out of place. I was so upset about this appointment, I had to make a Yelp account. Walking in, I was hoping to get a quality mani/pedi before my trip to Michigan. Unfortunately, my hopes died down as my appointment went on. The wait for my session was no issue, which is why I gave this review the one star it almost didn't deserve. When I was sat down, the employee I had, (Yvonne) told me to move to the chair beside me, after telling me to sit in the one I was already told to be in. So without any help, I moved to the next chair. Throughout the entire process before Yvonne put polish on, I was not relaxed to say the least. The work felt sloppy, and rushed. Yvonne even had the nerve to comment on how gross my feet were from the callus removal. (What?!) I had originally asked for white tips on my feet, which turned out decently I should say. (The highlight of my appointment.) When she had grabbed my sandals to put them on, she literally shoved them on my feet, shooing me to the manicure station. I had asked for gel white tips, which I didn't think would be too much of a problem. She began to file my nails quickly, with a lot of force, and they turned out completely uneven! (After I had specifically told her NOT to file them! It took me months to grow them that long!) I couldn't believe she let me walk out with nails like that. Yvonne filed them so short it was almost impossible for the polish to go on looking alright. The polish went on thick, not even covering some of the sides of my nails! And while painting, she had the nerve to check FACEBOOK on her phone! Yvonne told me the gel would last up to three weeks, and here I am a week later ripping them off, along with some of my nail, because they've chipped and come off. Soooo, I stopped getting my nails done (except pedis) 5 years ago... last month a friend of mine and I decided to try the dip on our nails. We went to Professional Nail in the Nordahl Marketplace and they said they would last up to 3 weeks sometimes 4... so even though the price was excessive we tried it. The first time it lasted three weeks and I could have gone another week if I needed to, but they were growing out. So last Saturday which was nine days ago I had them done again by Hannah and I had to pay extra for my cuticles to be cleaned up but a couple days ago they started lifting. So I waited till today for Monday to call them and they said that they're only guaranteed for up to a week and that they only last 1 to 2 weeks. I said I wouldn't of done it in the first place if you would've said it only lasted 1 to 2 weeks because the cost is so high. He said I could come in and they would give me a discount to redo them and I said no I'm not gonna pay the money to have them redone when almost all my nails are lifting and now I have to get them taken off.
