Soooo, I stopped getting my nails done (except pedis) 5 years ago... last month a friend of mine and I decided to try the dip on our nails. We went to Professional Nail in the Nordahl Marketplace and they said they would last up to 3 weeks sometimes 4... so even though the price was excessive we tried it. The first time it lasted three weeks and I could have gone another week if I needed to, but they were growing out. So last Saturday which was nine days ago I had them done again by Hannah and I had to pay extra for my cuticles to be cleaned up but a couple days ago they started lifting. So I waited till today for Monday to call them and they said that they're only guaranteed for up to a week and that they only last 1 to 2 weeks. I said I wouldn't of done it in the first place if you would've said it only lasted 1 to 2 weeks because the cost is so high. He said I could come in and they would give me a discount to redo them and I said no I'm not gonna pay the money to have them redone when almost all my nails are lifting and now I have to get them taken off. So, I just wanted to do a call out for the bad customer service at PROFESSIONAL NAIL in the San Marcos Nordahl center. Will not return! Thank you for nothing! read more

This place is awful! They have no customer service what so ever. I am currently on crutches and went in with my sister to get our nails done. They sat me down and put my crutches on the other side of the room where I had to hop to after my nails were done because the lady ran to the back after she was done because she knew she did a terrible job. They charged me for extra services that I did not even want or ask for. My left thumb looks like she barely put polish on it because she was rushing and the rest of my nails all have gel on my cuticles. I am not one to complain, but this place is AWFUL! read more

I had an appointment with Mrs. Tammy today for the first time. I generally walk in and wait for the next available tech for a pedicure. I was very impressed with the level of treatment Mrs. Tammy gave me. She did a great job on my full feet treatment that included the toe nail trimming, callous removal, warm sugar skin treatment, foot and leg massage. She is very knowledgeable and explained certain treatments she felt was important to ensure I understood what she was doing. She has very strong hands and worked by fat feet, toes and muscular calves. read more

My entire family (mom, grandma, my aunt, and myself) have been seeing Tammy 1 for yeaaarrsss. She's the only one that we'll trust to do our nails. I moved about 30 minutes away from this salon, but I will make the drive once a month to have Tammy 1 do my nails. She knows exactly what I like and makes sure to do my nails exactly the way I want them. She's also extremely quick and will finish a full set fill in 30 mins. The service here is terrible, a fill lasted 3 hours. The nails on a peer were completely crooked and had to be redone. Prices are outrageous in comparison to the services. Most of the nails had to be redone, and they said they could handle certain shapes and then continued to say " I am not good at this." Terrible place, please save your money and find somewhere else. read more

This place is great! All the ladies that work there are so sweet, talented and hard working. Bryant the owner has great customer service and always accommodates to what you need. This last time I went in there (been going for 3-4 months now) was my best experience. Lily did my gel manicure and wow did she do an outstanding job!! No bubbles, each nail is even/ perfectly shaped, and she was super quick & clean. Ana did my pedicure + extra 15min massage (this was my second time having her) and I absolutely adore her! I have been going to this salon when I moved to Southern California in 2015. I normally get pink and white French manicure. A few weeks ago, Tammy did my nails and I decided to change from getting a pink/white powder to red polish. After my nails were prepped, Tammy begin to polish over the white tips with the red polish that I had chosen. Then she tells me that the white will show through the red polish. I asked why was this not shared with me beforehand. As a professional, this is something that she would know and should have shared. Management got involved and Bryan offered me the nail service for free. Fast forward 3 weeks, I called today from my personal phone which shows up on their caller ID - no one answered. I called a few times and no one answered which I thought was very strange. I then blocked my number and called - no one answered. I then called from my work cell phone and Bryan asked. When he realized it was me he proceeded to tell me that none of the girls wanted to do my nails because they fear not making me happy. I then asked is this why he didn't answer my calls when my number showed up - and he said yes. I was like - are you kidding me? I make ONE complaint in 6 years I had been going there and am now told that I am no longer a customer. Are we not, as customers allowed to offer feedback so the business can improve? Bryan told me that if I came in and the girls saw me - they would walk. I was absolutely shocked! I could not believe what I was hearing and began to cry. I was being treated as though I had made a scene and scolded people which was not the case. Bryan told me he didn't have a choice, he works for the "girls" and that I was a good customer who tipped well, but didn't want to lie to me about what was going on. He then gave me numbers to other technician's who left to start their own business. I have never been told from any establishment that I was not welcomed back. I have never patron an establishment that did not welcome feedback. As a professional woman of color, this left me feeling extraordinarily disappointed, hurt and bewildered. Bryan continued to tell me what a great customer I was, how he didn't want me to be mad at him, wanted me to still love him and consider him a friend. This has got to be the most insulting experience I've ever had and felt compelled to share this with others who may consider going to ProfessioNail. read more

I have been going here since I was little. And I recently went to get acrylics and it was crappy! She cut me with her drill 3 times and did a terrible job on making them look nice and even. It really didn't seem like she has a clue of what she was doing because she kept looking around. And the acrylic is uneven on the top and patchy over all I'm not happy with my nails. This nail salon is horrible. I was in the area from out of town. My husband and I decided to get mani pedis to kill some time. WHAT A MISTAKE! $120 dollars later!! Never again. We both had basic mani pedis done. I did get gel polish which is way overpriced at this salon. They charge what it costs to purchase 2 new bottles of pro gel polish to "Upgrade" a manicure and pedicure. I was willing to swallow the price since I failed to do my homework before going here but to top it of they did a horrible job. Since I only wanted the "basic" package My manicurist was extremely rough and filed the skin on my fingers. My husbands technician was also in a hurry because we seemed to be wasting their time with our package choice so she cut his cuticles and made him bleed. His hands and feet ended up looking no better then before he started. When polishing my hands she forgot to put the top coat because she was in such a hurry that when she finally put the last treatment the polish went flat. I was extremely disappointed with the polish she did. She painted the center of my nails, missing the edges and tips. The tips and all sides of my nails are still visible and crooked. I wouldn't recommend this place ever. I'd rather let my 4 year old paint my nails. read more

This place is far from professional. The guy that was doing my full set was so rude! He was talking on the phone while doing my nails and was ignoring all my requests, I asked him to cut my nails shorter and he wouldn't do it. The color that I picked out look nothing like what they displayed it to be. So when it didn't turn out to be the color I wanted he offered to paint a coat of another color over or just told me to deal with it basically, instead of offering to remove the color completely. I asked if they have the color I asked for and he said no and I asked if I could get a discount since the color is nothing like what I wanted and he said no. Horrible costumer service! every time i go there the guy upfront is really rude. i've had quite a few bad experiences with him. the one that upsets me the most is when i went in one day with out appointment to get a full set done and he told me in a rude way that there was a wait. i thought it was fine if i waited i was in no hurry. a white lady(i am hispanic) comes in after me and wanted a full set as well and the guy upfront speaks to her very nicely and sits her down in one of the tables to get her started. and no she did not have an appointment because i overheard him asking her. i just walked and was very upset. and the same thing happened a few days ago when i went back. another thing that upsets me is that he always pressures you to add a tip. if i want to add a tip i will let you know i don't need you to be pressuring me to tip. i for sure wont be coming back here again read more

Beware! They are crooks!!! As far as their abilities to nails, they are good. Not great, just good. I've never been nickel and dimes like this before. I some how ended up paying $60 for a $20 pedicure and a $27 gel manicure. They charged me $3 for taking off the previous gel which I've NEVER had to anywhere else unless, I was only doing a regular manicure. I was charged $5 for nail color (WTH?) and $5 for a design which was a single layer of glitter over the polish. I was told it would be $3 extra for the glitter and that's it. If you want to be taken advantage of, then this the place for you. Will NOT be going back. I should've know when I asked what my total was and then started speaking Vietnamese quietly. Like I could understand what they were saying anyways. read more
