The first nail came off at 8days and 3 more nails came off on the 10th day. I spoke to Brian and he said sorry we are not responsible after 5days. A full set with gel should last 3weeks. Most sets I have had go a total of 5 weeks. The cuticles started raising at 3days. but they said "it is fine." I will not retur. read more

I have had great experiences here and loved getting the great attention to detail Tammy provided. The last two times I've been in, Tammy was unavailable as I did walk-in. Thinking I'd be fine with someone else, I ended up sadly--and PAINFULLY--disappointed. My first disappointments was a month ago when the technician started out friendly but when I declined a gel manicure and callus removal, she being cold and barely said a word to me after that. My second (and LAST) disappointment was because of all the long-lasting deep cuts I got that hurt me for almost a week! Two fingers and one big toe were red and inflamed to the point i wanted to chop them off. To top it off, I could see blood gathering in the side and yet she still proceeded to remove the plastic safety covering off the tub and ask me to put my feet in the draining (infected-looking) water. My friend and I took a chance and went shortly before they closed last week. We understood that they might turn us away which was fine but they had us wait. I went in for a fill and had my nails done by the guy with glasses. He was aggressive with my hands and rushing with my nails. When I got home I noticed that my nails were uneven and bumpy. one of them opened up like a pocket and it's clear that they're were not properly done. I have a love/hate relationship with this place. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. There really isn't a best time to go. I have been going here for a couple of years they can be busy from the time they open until they close. Holidays are the worst. I would say do not go on Friday-Sundays. They do take appointments and when I have made them before they are really good on getting you on time. I think the prices are really good. The only things I don't like are they still use Latex gloves and the towel in the waxing rooms look like they are never changed. I have an issue with laying on a towel that god knows how many other people been on that day or days =/ They do get slammed so just remember that when you go in as a walk in. A full set at 4:15 and as usual they were overbooked. The owner and receptionist Bryan had to do my nails. While I appreciate his effort he was very unexperienced. He cut my nails extremely short after recommending I "go long" because of the coffin shape I wanted. He shaped them terribly and even filed my nail do hard me made my cuticles bleed. We moved to Escondido last year from the city of San Diego and I had a hard time finding a new go-to nail salon up here. After a great first experience with my pedicure and gel manicure, I returned regularly every few months. Unfortunately, each returning visit came with a new surprise. Almost all of the nail techs here have some attitude which makes what should be a relaxing experience very stressful. They are VERY obviously talking bad about each customer in the salon and they don't try to hide it. On one occasion I was getting a gel manicure and the tech used a very pale pink polish on me that I loved. They moved me over to one of the tub chairs for my pedicure afterward. A new woman was doing my toes and I requested the same polish to match. The first tech says angrily across the room, "no that's my color!" She refuses to let the other lady use it on me...so I said "ok...can you bring me something similar?" She said no and made me walk across the salon barefoot to pick out something new. An awkward and uncomfortable experience to say the least. The last visit was the straw that broke the camels back but not because of what I've already written here. A week after my pedicure, HALF of my big toe nail fell off. After removing the polish, it was very clearly some kind of fungal infection. It affected two of my other other toes as well. And one of the cuticle beds of the toe of my other foot is also bruised and blue from how aggressive the tech was trimming them. Overall just left with a yucky impression of this place by this last experience and the customer experience i received over the past year. You can do better. read more

Another beautiful job done by Tammi (they have two nail techs names Tammi, mine is Tammi 1) I told her awhile ago that I always wanted long nails but mine would always break or I'd bite them. She suggested DIP POWDER. I'd never had it done and it's turned out to be the best thing for me. With Tammi's help, I've been able to grow out my own natural and healthy nails. The dip powder makes them very strong and they've never looked better. If you want a change from acrylics this is a great option. They have a bunch of color choices too. Tammi is so sweet and gentle and fun to chat with. Brian, up front when you walk in, is so friendly and professional. The salon is always clean and tidy. All the nail techs are great and they do brow waxing too, my best friend has been getting her brows waxed here for years & she has great brows! I'm super pleased that I walked out of this place so happy, I was a little worried after reading some previous reviews but my experience was really good. I booked an appointment the day before for 330 and then called the day of to change it to 230 because I was bored and it was no problem. I was taken to my chair right away, the girl was really sweet and didn't try to push and excess amount of rhinestones and flowers on me. I got a full set of acrylics, a solid teal color. I picked the "gelish" brand of color, which is a gel and she told me it'll last longer than regular polish. The bathrooms were super clean which was pleasing. There were a lot of employees and most of them were busy but it still felt calm inside. Walked out paying $40 plus a tip, they told us (boyfriend treated me) that if he paid cash, it would be $2 off the total but he didn't have any cash on him but it's good to know for next time! I went in for a mani and pedi with a friend. Unfortunately, we did not have a relaxing experience due to the nail artists. Both of the nail artists insisted on adding extras to our pedis and manis. Today was my first time at ProfessioNAIL and happy to say I really liked them. They are located in a very busy shopping center, but right next to the Rubio's and Wal Mart. I was referred to Lily by my friend Danalyn. It was very easy to get an appointment when I called this morning and when I arrived, they were very professional and Lily took me right as soon as I arrived. She was very kind and gentle with both my pedicure and doing my acrylic fill. She left everything looking so clean and no bubbles or bad spots. I also like that each technician gives you a receipt that you take to pay at the front and it shows exactly what you are being charged for. I've been to so many nail places where the prices don't match with what's posted and it can get confusing lol. It was a little weird tho that they have you pay with Venmo vs a card machine. So maybe they don't take credit so maybe cash would be best to take. I paid $78 total for a acrylic gel fill ($36 for an acrylic-allcolor fill) and ($39$ for a spa pedicure for gel color only.) they do charge a $3 fee for removing any color you had before. Gah, I should've known better and looked at the reviews beforehand! This was my first and last visit to this place. HORRIBLE pedicure. Once they find out you only want the "basic" service, they get visibly bothered. I have no callouses or rough skin on my feet; why would I need to pay extra for that service? Reshape nails and paint is a-okay when you maintain your feet with frequent pedicures and just want a basic service in between. Next to the pedicure chair I was in sat two employees with no clients. They both sat in the chair on their smart phones and cackled the whole time. Majorly annoying to me to hear that during what should be a peaceful service I paid for. They were watching a TV show of some sort in their native language. Unprofessional to say the very least. My technician sure did a number on me. She cut my toe nails in the worst jacked up kind of way. I asked her why she did that and she said to prevent ingrown nails. I have never had an issue with ingrown nails before and did not need her to do what she did. I am horribly bothered by this. She knew I was irate and went to get the manager. A male manager came to the chair and approached me in a very gentle and soft spoken manner. He apologized profusely and appeared to be questioning her as to what the hell she had just done. They continued to exchange words back and forth. He offered me a 50% discount off the service. Shockingly, it should've been FREE! I paid for the discounted amount and left, never to return. And no, she did NOT receive a monetary tip from me. The only tip I'd offer her is: stay in school. read more

I started getting gel manicures by Tiffany over a year ago. She is so awesome, and is always willing to do fun designs for me for special occasions (I just posted a bunch of my photos as well - which I've been posting on Pinterest). My gel manicures always last 2-3 weeks, depending on how much I pick at them (bad habit, I know). Usually, I end up filing my nails since they grow so fast while protected by the gel, and they look so nice for so long. I always have fun when I go here. Tiffany is super sweet and Tony is hilarious and fun to joke around with. I also can see a lot of people are very happy seeing Jenny as well. Another thing I like about this place is that they have a menu for pedicures, so you can choose which kind you want. There is also a package deal if you get both a mani & pedi, discounts for paying with cash, and discounts on Thursdays. I almost didn't want to write a review about Tiffany, thinking it might make her more in demand and harder to get an appointment with her - but I've referred so many people to her knowing she would do a great job for them, and I felt it was time I write her a review. I must admit that I do pay a lot sometimes because of the french/designs... but it's always so worth it for me - and I always get tons of compliments on my nails.
