This review is late. Mike was one of the first people that I used from reviews off of yelp and at that time I was not writing reviews myself (November 2011). I was so worried about the price because we have a very large living room with very high wood ceilings. I had been seeing termite debris on our electronic equipment and carpet. This had been going on for awhile. Mike came out and checked out our entire house, outside and inside. He said the outside was fine and the living room ceiling was not too bad and he just injected stuff inside of the boards that had some damage and the ones close to them. Well here it is a year later and no termite debris. We also had a rat issue and he showed my husband all of the areas that needed to be sealed up to keep them out. He even told him what to use and how to do it. His price was very reasonable and he was so personable and professional that after he had left my husband said, "Where in the world did you find that guy?" No kidding. read more

There have been so many issues that I experienced with this company that I will do my very best to share everything with you. First, I rely heavily on yelp and base many of my decisions on the reviews from fellow yelpers. This is the sole reason as to why I hired Procraft in the first place. When I spoke with Darren on the phone, he was courteous and prompt. He came to my home, performed a complete termite inspection, and told me that I had both drywood and subterranean termites. This I already knew so I opted have my extermination done with them. The next day, another employee by the name of Patrick, came to my house and started drilling holes in my concrete to treat the foundation against subterranean termite infestation. I was familiar with the process since I did my homework. However, as Patrick was drilling the last few holes, he drilled through a water pipe. He notified me and then called his manager, owner, and cousin, Mike to let him know of this accident. As soon as Patrick got off the phone, he told me they would take off $100 off my $4000 total estimate for the drywood and subterranean treatment. They made no offer to repair the damages that they did and tried to charge me an additional $300 to repair their mistake. I had to turn off the main water shut off valve and make the repairs on my own. I spent about 4 hours jackhammering the concrete and repairing the piping myself. Fortunately, I am not new to concrete work and plumbing so I wasn't about to spend more money on something that I could do on my own. Despite that fact, I still very annoyed with this mishap. Two days later, it came time for the tenting. Our foods were prepped and sealed according to Darren's instructions. I was there to see my home tented from start to finish. On the 3rd day of our home being tented, I waited for the company to take down the tent. As I was waiting, I noticed that the tent had a huge gash on the side of my home. I was more concerned about the fumigation gas leaking out prematurely during the 3 days of tenting so I called Darren to let him know that I may need more termite poison because the house was not properly sealed. He seemed 'funny' on the phone and told me that my home may have been broken into while it was tented. It was about that time that the fumigators arrived and started to take down the tarps. As the tent was being taken down, I noticed that the front door was pen and the side windows to my home were wide open. That's when I hung up the phone with Darren and called the police to report a burglary! When the Sheriff arrived, she walked with me around my property and started filing a report. After she completed her investigation and left, Mike, the owner of Procraft arrived. He was apologetic about my whole termite extermination experience and offered me a mere 5% discount for my troubles. Mike told me that unfortunately my neighbors nor I had any cameras, it would be near impossible to find the burglars. (How did he know that none of my neighbors had cameras?... very fishy) He also mentioned that none of his clients had EVER been burglarized. Let me tell you yelpers that I had $45,000 worth of items stolen and even more valuable, several computer hard drives with irreplaceable photos of my family taken. After the insurance report, police report, itemization of losses, replacing all my damaged door locks and windows, I will never wish any of these problems onto my worst enemy. The only problem for me was that I couldn't get up the chain of command to the kingpin (aka- the queen ant). I could only find foot soldiers here and there infiltrating my corners. I don't got time fo' dis nonsense. I need these foo-s off my corners! I call Mike from ProCraft using Yelp. Mike was as professional as can be. He was up front with pricing- gave me an appointment time. Explained to me what type of ants I had (Argentine ants), his methodology of attack, his secondary attack strategy, and post operative instructions. I mean, I thought I was a G when I murda'd. But Mike puts on a clinic. He's like a docta'. Diagnosis and treatment plan. What?! The day Mike did his thing was like 100 degrees outside with 80 percent humidity. He worked two hours icin' those foo-s! Fuh-real. Anywho- I was very satisfied with Mike's service. The next day, no mo' ants. Now I know what that expression "you make me feel like an ant" means. This review is a bit late, as we have finished moving into our new home in Upland. We bought our house in January and late that month discovered we had subterranean termites. After reading Yelp reviews, I decided to give Mike a call. He was very professional and impressive in his knowledge. The day of our appointment, he called to update me on his ETA as it was a little later than we had scheduled, which I thought to be very considerate. He inspected our entire house and garage and identified areas of infestation and also pointed out small areas of dry rot that we might need to repair in the future. Also pointed out that we have a number of black widow webs, which put me on alert to be more cautious in the yard. He and Darren had to split the work into two days due to rain, and he made sure that he returned as soon as possible so we did not have an incomplete job for weeks. I was extremely satisfied and duely impressed with Mike's demeanor, knowledge, and professionalism. We will definitely keep his number available for the future! One of the most appreciated things for me was that he did not try to "sell" his monthly or quarterly pest control plan. When I asked about it, he explained how it works, but also said I should wait a bit and live in my house to see if I notice any pest activity that would warrent him coming out. Impressively HONEST. I've looked up Mike's company from yelp as I always did for all the services I need. Mike's got great reviews on yelp so I've decided to give Mike a go. Mike's appointment was at 8am, but he was delayed by traffic and he got here around 10:30am. I was a little disappointed, but Mike sincerely apologized and he offered to do the first termite inspection for free (my family is trying to sell my house) and also a future inspection on my new house/condo when we've purchased one. The inspection went smoothly. Mike is knowledgeable and he explains everything to my Dad and I. Mike is also very sensitive to Asian culture so he voluntarily took off his shoes before entering the house. That is a huge plus for us. At the end of the day, we are happy of Mike's service and his honest opinion. His quote wasn't too bad either for the termite treatment. 2 months later, we finally sold our house and Mike came to my house (prompt this time around) and treated the termite problem on the spot. I also realized my last termite treatment (with 3 holes to cover the house) wasn't enough. We need more honest termite guys like Mike! I had been on a quarterly service with a large corporate pest control company for a few years at my old house. When I moved to a new house, I decided to look for another company since ive been having issues with the scheduling of appts with the previous pest control company. I mean..their stuff kept the bugs away, but their customer service has been going downhill in the recent years. I dont know if they're just under new management or what..but I can never reach the technicians when I need to and they seem to schedule appts based on whatever's convenient for them instead of what works for the client. They show up even after I called to reschedule. I mean why would I want them to come spray during heavy rain?? I hate bugs..all sorts of bugs and our new home had tons of ants and spiders so I wanted to make sure everything was sprayed before we moved in. I have dogs coming in and out of the house, so I didnt want them walking around the yard with ants and spiders crawling around. Mike came for our first service and spent time talking to me about what types of bugs we had and the types of treatment he would do to rid the house and yard of them. He even had on heavy duty house booties so that he didnt track dirt into our house when he walked in to spray the interior of the home...major plus considering I just had the floors steam cleaned!! Daren has come out to our house every year for the past few years to spray for crickets. When we moved into our new house 4 years ago, we had a bad cricket infestation. We were constantly swatting at crickets all over our house - yuck! After one outside spraying, the crickets were taken care of. Daren found their nests and trouble spots. We requested the "one-time service" for a crazy ant problem we have been battling for over a year to no avail. They promised a 30-day guarantee against a single ant, and boy did they live up to it! We had an especially bad ant problem, so together, Jeremy and Mike ended up coming to our house a total of FIVE TIMES (at no extra charge) to fulfill their one-time service. And they were so cheerful about it every time, even though they weren't making a cent off the return visits. Mike even gave me his cell phone number and told me to just text him if I saw ants and he'd be back They sprayed, they baited, they even drilled holes in our garage floor to attack the final nest that was holding out. This review is long overdue. ProCraft has been my pest control company for over 6 years now. I have them come out bi-monthly to my house as well as my grandma's house (had bee issues). These guys are super friendly and very professional. I've worked with Mike, the owner, as well as his awesome techs Darren, Patrick and most recently, Samuel. Always comes through when scheduled and I receive friendly emails a few days before their next service as a reminder for me to unlock the back gate for them if I won't be home. If I am home, they always say hello, get the job done, and check out with me to let me know how the treatment went and if there are any issues or concerns which, thankfully, no issues so far. I absolutely abhor cockroaches which was the main reason I started using their services. Once my husband and I bought our first home, I wanted to make sure none of those pests got in. So far, so good! Maybe a bug or two have gotten in, but they sure didn't last long after entering 'cause they were dead on their backs. Woo hoo! Hire these guys. I had a garage infestation of what seemed to be cigarette beetles. I found Mike on Yelp and was initially skeptical due to all the 5-star reviews. But after some research and seeing that they were all legit, I decided to call him. He was very courteous on the phone and called to re-confirm our scheduled appointment. When he arrived I took him to the problem area and he got to work inspecting. All the while he was very polite and extremely knowledgeable, explaining what the bugs were, how they worked, and where we needed to look. That wasn't something I thought would be important to me, but in doing that he really put me at ease. We found the source and he bagged it, took it away, and did some spraying for a few other pests. While his services were affordable and very fair, I would willingly have paid more because of his approach and courteous demeanor. As good as their word, Daren came back out and sprayed again at no charge! We had a subterranean termite problem. Daren, the field representative, showed up within hours of our phone call and did a thorough inspection of the entire house. He was extremely pleasant and easy to deal with. The proposal cost was fair and they quickly scheduled the work around some landscaping we were having done and with inclement weather. The work was handled professionally by their employee(s) and they were easy to deal with as well. We did have a minor issue when they drilled into an irrigation line, but they made good on it and didn't pressure us in any way while the area dried out and the leak was fixed.
