They give you a low quote and then put your belongings on a truck and raise the price and will hold your belongings hostage until you pay. They do not use an actual company truck. We wanted someone reliable, timely and that would be careful with our belongings. We found that with Busch movers. We booked a few weeks in advance and Mohammed was very friendly and quick to respond to phone calls or emails whenever we had questions.Busch gave us the option of paying cash or by credit card, which was convenient. The day of the move, the 3 guys (Chris, Karl, Jeremy) showed up exactly at the time we had booked with a very large truck (we only filled it about half way) and the wardrobe boxes we had requested. All 3 guys were very friendly and we enjoyed light conversation while they worked. They worked quickly and efficiently to load up our 2 bedroom condo in about 2 hours being very careful to wrap all the fragile things in blankets. We had about an hour delay getting the keys to our new house on the way from the condo so, while they waited, the guys decided to shovel a bit of the snow to clear a path for us when we arrived! Much appreciated! The whole move took about 6 hours + 1 hr travel time there and back, which was 1 hour less than we were quoted. But, we were only charged for the actual time it took them to move us. Finding good movers at a fair price is not an easy task. We looked around for a while and got quotes all over the place. So if you're reading this looking for movers, I hope you consider Busch. You will have a great experience.

Knocking off a star because they did leave a lot of damage to the trim of multiple doorways. They warned us they would be a knick but I didn't realize the extent of the damage that would be done so I wish there had been a little more communication. The damage repairs ended up costing us hundreds of dollars, so I wish had been presented options, rather than them pushing to get the job done. I also didn't appreciate them stepping on our rug with their shoes and smoking on our front lawn (and leaving the trash from it there too).

He also came to look at our place a few days before moving day to assess everything. On moving day, his team packed and wrapped everything very quickly. They were professional, asked questions, kept in contact on the phone during each process of the move and were very friendly. We originally asked for a team of 5 and two trucks but ended up with a team of 4 at the start and 1 truck. Reduced down to a team of 3 at our new place to unpack everything. We were charged accordingly to the changes. No hidden fees or BS, everything was told to us as changes were being made and explained again when the bill came. Prices were super reasonable for the distance. We provided water, gatorade (at both places) and breaks whenever the movers needed. People forget that this is a very physically gruelling task and my partner and I would have never done what they did in such a short period of time. We were so appreciative we even ordered pizza for them at our new place, while they finished unloading all our stuff. We had over 40 boxes and tons of furniture. 11/10 I would use them again and highly recommend them! They are true to their word "In and out".

But from the day the items were supposed to be picked up until the end of time we have had troubles with them. First of all instead of arriving on the day of pick up from Halifax, we get a call previous night from the transporters demanding to pick up things in the middle of the night, threatening us that they will leave and won't take our stuff, it was horrible. How do they expect us to arrange elevators and everything in an apartment building at 11pm ? Finally Sam spoke to the transporters and convinced them to pick up on scheduled date and time. Now for pick up, 2 people came in and were in super hurry, made my husband do all the work literally including moving the couch, the transport vehicle was a little truck from Home Depot and they some how fit everything. They left and reached in a day. We had requested our stuff to be placed in storage, the storage they chose was far away from our location we had given. We reached Toronto a few days after our items were dropped off at storage, we went to see it and realized more than half our stuff was missing for which Sam said other items are in another storage unit, and said he will move all our things into our unit. He did, I think and sent us pics, we went back to check and everything looked in order. Now on the day of finally taking our stuff back, we see our storage unit has 2 locks and Sam is AWOL, we somehow got access and now our mattress, dining table and some boxes are missing. Completely unacceptable. To get the second lock off because Sam had not been paying the storage we ended up paying extra money. Its been 2 months and we still havent gotten our stuff back and no response from Sam. Dont get fooled by them. We used Upack to move from Seattle to Toronto. Overall, our experience was great…read more We used two cubes to pack our 4 bedroom house into. They were packed to the top and a overweight (but they took them anyway). We had gotten rid of our couch, dinning table, and bookshelves, and kid beds before we moved. Had we not, a third cube would have been required. Two tightly packed cubes are better than three loosely packed cubes. If things are not secure they will shift (possibly break). We also used moving belts to secure certain large items. ABF dropped the cubes off as soon as we were ready for them and picked them up as soon as we gave dispatch a call. The little vehicle they use to move the cubes onto your driveway are very swift. They can get the cubes arranged however you want them and even into the smallest most awkward spaces. When our stuff got to the NY border it had to all go through customs. We were given all of the paperwork ahead of time and got our stuff stamped (and returned to Upack) while we were crossing. It is important to note that you have to cross the border ahead of your stuff. This goes both ways; USA to Canada and Canada to the USA. Everything went smoothly at the border. When our cubes got to Toronto we had to get another set of stamps at the customs office near the airport before our stuff could get released. Please note that the Upack customs team will let you know all of these steps ahead of time. Once all of the customs stuff was dealt with, we decided to keep our stuff in storage for a while. Our stuff just arrived last week (after a few months) and everything arrived in one piece. I would definitely use Upack again.
