When I called With A Little Help, within seconds, I was talking with Kacie, one of the owners, who was so kind and spent all of the time I needed talking with me about our situation and care needs. By the end of the phone call, we had a plan for an intake evaluation, and just a couple of days later, a new care team was in place...and just like that, the stress and worry that had been accumulating over many months lifted. My parents are homebound with very limited mobility. They want to stay in their condo as long as possible and we want to do all we can ensure they can safely do so. Always Best Care Seattle pointed out safety issues that needed immediate attention. These were issues neither my brother and I ever would have spotted. My parents currently have a caregiver a few days a week. The caregiver does their cleaning, laundry, preps meals for them, makes lunch and I'm sure many more things that I'm not aware of! Their home has never looked better (it actually sparkles)! Their caregiver always is on time (few minutes early actually) starts the day by sitting down with my parents and catching up and finding out what their priorities are for the day. Since they are homebound the social aspect is a really important part of their overall care. The caregivers have all been EXCELLENT. Each caregiver is very caring, loving and obviously love what they are doing. Any questions I have had (either for their caregivers or the ABCSEATTLE office staff-even the most random question they have had an answer for me or a suggested resource. As the level of care that they need becomes greater, ABCSEATTLE can assist us every step of the way. They kept sending different people every day. My mom has dementia - she needs routine and familiar faces, not a parade of strangers confusing her even more. This made her anxious and upset constantly, but apparently Home Instead doesn't give a shit about what patients actually need. Half these caregivers had zero experience and some didn't even have the required licenses to care for my mom. Are you kidding me? I'm paying you to send qualified people, not random folks off the street who don't know what they're doing. This is my mother's safety we're talking about. I called management multiple times trying to fix this mess. Talked to some woman named Needy who gave me the most fake, corporate apologies I've ever heard. No solutions, no changes, just "sorry you feel that way" bullshit while nothing got better. This company took our money and provided garbage care that made my mom's life worse. They don't care about your loved one - they just want to cash your checks and send whoever's available that day. Don't waste your time or money with Home Instead Seattle. Find a company that actually knows how to care for people with dementia instead of this amateur hour operation.

We all rallied, but even with all the help our family could provide, it wasn't enough. We we drowning. With a few sessions with ECN, we had a list of vetted facilities and a expert guidance on how to navigate Medicaid. My parents are now settled in an assisted living facility and my father has help with mom. I cannot thank them enough.
