I was fortunate enough to meet Richard Landen while I was there. Richard was very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. I told Richard I needed to discuss a few of the model options with my wife, and I'd call him with a decision within a week. I phoned Richard a few days later, and told him which model Subzero we wanted to order. He couldn't have made the whole purchase any easier. Richard emailed me the receipt, and told me the new Subzero would be available for pickup in a few days. Richard was kind enough to inform me that if I selected a certified installer Subzero adds an extra year to the warranty! So I figured I had better do just that, and I went with Top Tier Appliance Installations which is owned by John Yeager. If there was ever an appropriately named business, it's John's business! John and his crew really were top tier! From keeping me apprised of their arrival time to protecting my floors removing the old SubZero, to being diligent as they carefully lugged these 800 pound machines (both the old Subzero and the new Subzero) up and down my stairs without damaging my home! The installation job they did on my new Subzero was spectacular! I would highly recommend John and his team without reservation! I'm a very particular guy, and John and his team are definitely welcome back in my home anytime. The first washer they installed was defective and it was replaced without question and very quickly. So I appreciated that however, the reason I'm giving them four stars rather than five is the Electrolux washer is just so dang noisy. It clunks and thuds and clunks and thuds. I've lived in the same house for the past 30 years and this is my third set of front load washers and dryers. None of the previous washers made noise like this one does. If you have your laundry hook up in the garage, you probably wouldn't notice it. My laundry room is adjacent to the downstairs family room, so the noise is noticeable. The reason I mentioned that I've had two previous front load washers and dryers is because it never occurred to me to ask if it was noisy because my previous sets were not noisy. Just something to take into consideration if your laundry hook up is inside your house and not out in the garage.

MKC is the best residential contractor I have worked with in my 30 years of home ownership. MKC employs a process with heavy emphasis on planning the work up front followed by quality execution by the craftsmen. Scott (owner of MKC) honestly strives to land each project with the highest quality work done at a reasonable price. My project was mainly to remodel a kitchen and master bathroom. Additionally, we removed two walls (one load bearing), replaced 1/2 the house windows, addressed two different legacy structural issues, replaced fireplace, all interior doors, all baseboard and trim, all flooring and about a dozen other upgrades (add ceiling fans, add additional door, replace garage door header, toilet in 2nd bath, etc.). Basically, I received a new house. The work was completed in a little over 4 months as planned adding time for the new scope and structural issues. The cost was as expected. MKC costs were nearly exact to expected. Material costs were higher than planned due to our selection of materials vs assumed. The quality of the work was outstanding whether it was by MKC employees or subcontractors. I highly recommend the MKC team for a kitchen or major home remodel.

I have PTSD from others doing bad, work or being lazily and unfair. I can honestly say it was a pleasure working with them. Of course we had normal problems that had nothing to do with them but they were patient and understanding. We Interviewed 4 different companies and no one was interested in us unless we could spend our life savings. I replaced the flapper (Kohler Class Five 3 1/4"). The same issue continued. After calling several other plumbers in the beginning of December (3 calls several days apart to one, 2 calls several days apart to the other; and not getting any return calls from either of those companies), I reached out to Josski the last week of December. Josh returned my call that very day!! This is a second home for me (Bodega Bay) and I was going to be there over New Year's weekend. He scheduled an appointment with me on New Year's Day!! I was amazed that he would come out on a holiday. I asked if this would cause an extra charge. He said 'no', same rate. Wow! Josh was punctual and very courteous. He is knowledgeable, skilled and has a very high level of integrity. His rates are incredibly reasonable, and he is honest and sincere. Best experience of hiring a plumber we've ever had. You want someone who doesn't bullshit you. You want someone who is kind of like a Sherpa guiding you. Here is my personal experience: We had an outdated kitchen that was not up to code. I used to love to cook but I'd come into the kitchen and quickly wanted to step away. So I initially went to Home Depot thinking ok great they have everything in one place! Because I'm not a DIY nor have any knowledge in this I felt half way through that I needed a bit more direction. I work 12 hr days and wanted someone who understood what I wanted. But what's interesting about a remodel is sometimes it's beyond your imagination! Green Bay had a 3D model which they tied into appliances and helped to see how the kitchen would look! Noy also had tips and tricks and advice along the way. But here's the thing - it isn't always butterflies! In any relationship there is misunderstanding, impatience and a difference in communication. Noy knows his shit. You just have to trust that. July 6 was demolition. sept 11 we moved all our stuff back. Now I just walk into the kitchen and just stand and breathe and thank Green Bay and Noy for being my Sherpa to the Mount Everest I call kitchen remodeling. We had someone come out with carpet samples and to measure for a quote…read more -The quote provided indicated that the square footage was much higher than the other two companies we ended up getting quotes from and since the charge is per square foot it added a ton to the total. -I noticed that the quote included the cost to take out carpet in all rooms but there were two rooms that had no carpet to be taken out. -We asked for help picking a carpet to install and it turns out the one recommended does not meet any of our needs and would have been a big problem. -Then he said the carpet would be ordered and could be installed the next week since we were in a rush. 5 days later he hadn't ordered the carpet and we started shopping other companies. -The quote said that if we are talking to any companies let them know since they would beat or match reasonable competitive quotes but once I mentioned we were shopping around the guy stopped responding and I'm glad he did so we didn't get stuck overpaying for a carpet that isn't right for us
