If you're replacing your tub w/a shower, forget the "one-day" scams on TV. I got bids from two of those along with two other local bids and MCD beat them all. Oh, and MCD's bid included building a back porch for that price! They completed everything in a week because they swarmed us with workers who worked on both projects concurrently. And both projects are finished to a high quality - the porch looks stout enough to land a helicopter on! Anthony, Meagan, and Dan were a pleasure to work with. We had a supplier problem that could have delayed the shower project for a month. Instead, they found a work-around and the start time was only delayed a week. Two thumbs up for MCD because that's all the thumbs I got! read more

We recently completed a major "down-to-the-studs" renovation of both our main and guest house with Anthony and the MCR team. The scope was extensive, including entirely new HVAC, plumbing, and electrical throughout and we are thrilled with the results. As someone who works with many contractors professionally, I was particularly impressed by Anthony's "open-book" transparency and honesty. He was incredibly patient and collaborative with high-level finishing details, consistently working to meet our exacting expectations. If you want a builder who prioritizes integrity and craftsmanship, I highly recommend MCD. Thank you, Anthony! read more

We were doing a full kitchen remodel and I went into the whole process with a bit of trepidation. But these guys put all my anxieties down quickly. They are the real deal; the workmanship is top-notch and their prices are totally fair. We had the inevitable project speed bumps, like unknown structural issues or 80 year-old plumbing issues; but Anthony and has team were quick to come up with solutions, and they were able to work with me to keep additional costs under control. We had no issues with any sub-contractors and were just as pleased with their work. He's chosen some great people to partner with. Even though the the project is now complete, Anthony has committed to coming back for a couple very minor follow-ups. 10/10, highly recommend and would definitely work with again. read more

Excellent judgment, responsive, good aesthetic, excellent workmanship. Fair prices. Good team showed they knew and understood wood, rot, and the importance of keeping moisture out. They secured the cabin against ocean weather! Highly recommend Anthony. My wife says he's a charmer. I say he's a good businessman. read more

Merciari Construction Design - Tearing up floor to remedy leak - General Contractors Near Me - Santa Rosa, California

This is an excellent company. We had a water damage insurance claim with USAA, this is the ONLY contractor that did not bail and negotiated with the insurance company, which is a huge plus, how else could we have gotten this done? Entire kitchen redone, from floor to ceiling with new cabinets it is just beautiful now. I want to note, the refrigerator cabinet accommodates the huge LG fridge we got! He was knowledgeable in products and advise. Every single person that was sent to our home was all business, they worked quietly, they kept the work space clean. This project went on for months, and we lived here in the home. Communication was easy, and Anthony always got back to us in a timely manner. Also, he uses lockboxes and those literally ended up being a great additional thing he does as we can't just stay home all the time. The company is very reputable and we had no issues with anything at all during this project, it's impressive really. We love our kitchen now, and if any other work is needed this is the ONLY company we would call. read more

We recently finished up a large home renovation with Merciari Construction - which included our living room, kitchen (structural work required), and a guest bedroom. The result is fantastic, and we couldn't be happier with the work they have done for us. From the very beginning Anthony was very responsive, great with communication, and very collaborative. If a problem ever arose, he was quick to respond and get back to us with a solution. He was nothing but professional and trustworthy, and that was such a relief to me. His crew and team of subcontractors were all very skilled, respectful, friendly, and always cleaned up at the end of the day. We were living at the house at the time of renovations with our two small children, and I feel that the guys always made an extra effort to make it as clean and safe as possible knowing this. Working with Merciari was a great experience from beginning to end and I can't recommend them enough. read more

Working with Anthony and his crew from MCD has been such a pleasure. From initial walkthrough to finishing touches, Anthony has been prompt, available, and helpful!! My interior/exterior remodel ran from May/Aug this year and it included both of our bathrooms, laundry room, and a newly designed master bedroom. The crew worked well around our family as we decided to live on site during the remodel. Everything was done to my taste and specifications. Anthony prioritized my questions and proved much needed feedback on purchasing my customer supplied products so as to ensure a trouble free build. My contract was clear and precise and the invoice process was a breeze, which allowed me to pay online. I highly recommend Merciari Construction Design from small renovations to full remodels. read more

Anthony was recommended to me for a second opinion on an electrical issue I had at my home. I had no idea who this guy was or what his job ethics entailed to, but I could say I was delighted to meet him! Very professional, respectful and good bedside manners. He was able to look at the electrical issue and have explained the problem to me and verbiage that I was able to understand. From beginning to end he made me feel very confident in the education he was explaining to me. He was able to let me know the work that was done how the work that was done was wrong and how he was able to fix it. He was able to, not only contact the city of Santa Rosa to make sure things were aligned properly from the solar company that screwed me over, but he stayed at my home the entire time to make sure I was asking the right questions. For a majority of the time I was on hold with the Solar Pannel Company in the city of Santa Rosa and he patiently waited by my side, didn't make me feel rushed whatsoever, I was wasting his time. He was able to fix the huge mistake that the Solar Pannel Company (not saying any names but they are based in Sacramento) made, AND gave me his person information to give him a call for any future issues. I am SO thankful for him- I truly understand why he was recommended and I will continue to recommend his work to my future, family and friends!! I would not hesitate to give him a call to come to your house and make sure your family is safe for any structured issues!!! read more

Once again Merciari Construction did a Phenomenal job! I always pay attention to every single detail, and ask many questions, but I am amazed how patiently MCD got everything clarified and walked me through every single step. It took literally less than 24 hrs for them to come out, meet with me and get my estimate ready! I admire their professionalism, honestly, responsiveness and the quality of job this company provides. When it comes to construction it is very hard to find and honest person who has your best interest at heart. Merciari Construction Design was hired to do the house exterior and 2 master bathrooms, of my home on a hill in Napa. Everything was going on schedule and then they found the termites! Totally unexpected for all of us. They had to break for the tenting and ground termite service. So much more unexpected damage and work that was not expected. Anthony was GREAT! Anthony approached the job as the problems came up and was reasonable with cost and the extra time it took to complete my job. My house in Napa is still so beautiful and looks like new. I highly receommend you giving MCD a look, I'm sure you will be glad you did. read more

Anthony and team did a great job for us on our major exterior upgrade project. Our Santa Rosa apartment complex has 4 separate buildings, and all non-courtyard-facing exterior walls and windows needed to be rebuilt due to dry rot and water seepage. Anthony worked with us to select window, siding and waterproofing materials, and devised a schedule, budget and project sequence that allowed us minimize disruption to tenants and work around frequent weather issues. Anthony communicated frequently, and clearly and fairly devised proposals for how to address un-seen additional damage that popped up throughout the project. In the end we have a water-tight, much more attractive exterior that has increased the property value and desirability of renting in our complex. We will certainly engage Merciari for future interior and exterior remodel projects! read more

We had the same positive experience as the other reviewers here. Anthony and his team did a very good job on a tricky task - replacing a 2nd story deck over a room in our house. His team was great at communication, showing up when they said they would, and staying within our budget. We've worked with other contractors who weren't as professional, so we were really happy to find such a reliable and skilled construction crew. read more

Great professional service and price. They did 3 furnaces for my rentals and did great job.

I came on here to share my experience with Anthony and MCD. I was shocked to see what some people had to say about him on here, looks like they didn't know him well or actually worked closely with him. MCD was nothing but professional and the quality of work was outstanding. Everything with our project (full ADU conversion) was on schedule and was within our budget. I would recommend MCD to anyone. read more

Anthony and his team were absolutely amazing. I needed a full kitchen and bathroom remodel for my older home and didn't even know where to start. Anthony walked me through the entire process, and helped with every decision that had to be made to ensure the end result was absolutely perfect. We started with an old, outdated home with low functionality and ended with a beautiful, modern kitchen and two updated bathrooms, with a ton of open space. Anthony and his team were professional, efficient, and dependable. Our home feels brand new and we couldn't be happier! read more

I have never managed a remodel, I have not worked with contractors in a personal or commercial capacity, that being said, I had a wonderful experience with Anthony and his crew. I have been back in my house a little over a year now and the quality of the construction is great. I have had no issues with work that had been completed. His timing was late, but Anthony really came through with quality work. I've heard stories of contractors being unresponsive and ignoring calls, however, I never had that issue with MCD. Anthony and his team always answered my call, text or email. I would highly recommend them for any construction job. read more

We met Anthony of Merciari Construction Design through The Cabinet Outlet in Santa Rosa. Anthony came recommended from them for preparation and installation of two bathroom vanities and shower surrounds. Anthony came and took a look at the job, suggested a plumber for additional work and was priced very reasonably. He and his crew Ryan, Ken and Nayo were friendly, timely, and aware of their surroundings leaving our home looking like it did when they walked in. I would recommend them and we will most likely be calling them for other home projects soon. We enjoyed having these guys here making our project run as smooth as possible. read more

I can't believe this is my kitchen! Anthony Merciari and his crew along with Cabinet Outlet, were miracle workers..transforming my 1040's kitchen into a gorgeous, functioning space. He truly understands old house issues and had great solutions to both save me money and get the desired result. I put this off for many years being afraid of the expense and disruption, but the price was right and it didn't even take that long! So glad I finally did this and glad I chose the right contractor! read more

Anthony's team did a fantastic job repairing our master bathroom. We had a hole in the floor due to water damage and his company did a great job coming up with a plan to fix it as economically as possible. His tile contractor came up with a great plan to patch in against the existing tile so we didn't have to replace everything. The work site was cleaned up nicely every day and the job was completed on time with no cost overruns. I definitely recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again. read more

We had decided to get new cabinets and counter tops for our kitchen. We went through The Cabinet Outlet. We wanted some changes done to the layout of the kitchen. They recommended Anthony. I work for a Property Management company that manages 537 properties (and growing!). We pride ourselves in ensuring that the vendors we contract provide quality work at a reasonable price. Merciari Construction was added to our vendor list in March and we have been highly satisfied with their work. So much so, that they have become our primary contractor. They are extremely knowledgeable and have a fast, high quality turn around time for completing work, which is a huge factor we look for as property managers. They have done kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, fence reconstruction, flooring and so much more. I highly recommend using them if you find yourself in need of a contractor! read more
