Regularly, the pad gets stuck in connecting to hub mode and can't be re-set, resulting in the alarm going off. Tech support includes telling me to use a paperclip (yeah, really) to disengage the alarm. When this doesn't work, one has to go looking for their equipment to unplug and then remove a battery pack from the board. This is a multi-step process. The system keeps chirping and more actions need to be taken, or the alarm will go off in the middle of the night. Finally, the alarm is disengaged. But they need to send someone out. TEN DAY WAIT FOR TECH SUPPORT TO COME!!!!!!!! No refunds until tech support has come. Try to cancel the service. Nope, predatory business. Sales person said contract could be cancelled at any time. With glee, the nasty phone person told me, you can cancel, you have to remove the equipment yourself, and you are actually locked in for another 47 months, so you will have to pay, even if you cancel. STAY FAR AWAY!
