I recently used Ted Hall to fix a jammed front entry door. When they arrived I was told they need to take the lock apart and see what was going on inside it. After messing with the lock for 90mins I was told the lock was fixed and try not to slam the door hard it's messing up the mechanism inside. I was charged $266.56 for the service. Two days later the lock was jammed again. I called Ted Hall and they said the fix wasn't going to be permanent and I needed to replace the lock for $490. At that point I asked for half my money back and I would go on my way. They refused to compensate me for there shotty work so I called in Bullet Lock & Safe Co. to take a look at what was going on. It took the gentlemen a total of 25 mins to fix the problem. The bottom screw of the plate was striped making it stick out. All the door needed was a new screw to grab into the door and make the plate flush. WHAT A JOKE!!! I called Ted Hall to tell them how easily the door was fixed and asked for half my money back again when in reality I should have been asking for a full refund. The owner then got on the phone with me and said he was "f**king done with me" and "I didn't know who I was f**king with". Extremely bizarre and unprofessional behavior from a business owner who is in the wrong. I recommend anger management classes Ted and maybe a few Master Locksmith classes. If your a High End customer I strongly advise to stay away from this clown. read more

Tom is extremely helpful! Very nice on the phone and when I came in. When a dealer or other locksmiths would have charged a couple hundred dollars to replace a key fob, Tom, found the issue within 15 minutes and I was out the door for $35 and had my working key fob! Highly recommend!! We will be back! Also may just have Tom change out the battery on any key fobs in the future so we do not cause any damage. (Often the issue is human error) read more

tl;dr - Professional company from initial scheduling phone call down to the locksmith who did the work; friendly staff, marked vehicles and employee outfits for safety, and a fair price for the services - all performed efficiently and they were even able to accommodate my schedule. Similar to other reviewer, we just moved to town and needed to have the locks changed on our new house. I looked over the local options and settled on Ted Hall Locksmith based on reviews here and elsewhere; extremely happy that I did. Calling to schedule an appointment was easy as they have a real phone line direct to reception/scheduling instead of getting a personal voicemail (and maybe getting a callback later). They didn't have an appointment available that day, so I scheduled for another day, but they told me they would call back if a vacancy opened in their schedule. Two hours later I got a call back that a locksmith could be on site in 20 minutes if I was available, which I was. Sure enough, in less than 20 minutes Tom, our locksmith, showed up. I'm sure anyone dreading or who has dread having a stranger show up at their house to fiddle with their security (and scope out the interior) knows how frustrating finding a reliable and safe locksmith can be. Look no further, Tom was professional, courteous, and personable. He arrived in a Ted Hall marked van, and he was wearing a Ted Hall marked shirt. At no point did I feel uneasy about letting him into the house to do the work, and he even spent a couple minutes playing with my dog to put the pooch at ease as well. He completed the work very well in a timely fashion, and even fixed a couple of problems with door handles installed upside down by the previous owner, and fixing how the locks matched up to the bolt holes in the wall to prevent it from scraping and squeaking. And while it might not be everyone's cup of tea, I like to know what is going on with the work being performed to have a better handle on it in the future. Tom kept me up to speed throughout each step, telling me what he was working on or showing me exactly what it was he was doing to accomplish it. They were able to produce the exact number of extra new keys I needed right from the truck so I didn't have to wait (or worse, run to a store somewhere to have copies made). At the end of it all, I paid an eminently reasonable price for the services, based on my prior experiences. And it only took about 30 minutes or so for him to rekey four separate locks. I highly recommend Ted Hall Locksmith and will be utilizing them in the future for any of my needs. read more

They are awesome! Not an exaggeration. I lost my garage door opener, sometime after closing the garage door and going to my house. My garage is not connected to my house. There is only one way in: the garage door. The key I was supposed to have to release the lock from the outside, in case of a power outage, was something I was never given when I bought my unit. I called Ted Hall, and within two hours they had a locksmith (Tom) out there. Tom got in, Gave me two new keys for that lock, then programmed The extra garage door opener I had bought, but been unable to program. Two problems solved! read more
