I have used Mr. Keys several times and every time the service and the quality of their work has been excellent. We have had issues with car key FOBs and both times the replacements have worked great. I recently had an issue with the front door lock and key. The key would not unlock the door. I am with spreadsheets and paperwork but terrible with household repairs. The older gentleman patiently explained how to remove lock from the door and then after the repair was completed how to install it back. It actually worked after I installed after the repair. About a year ago or so, we bought a replacement key fob for our Hyundai Sonata, of which the buttons punched through, making them unusable. Mr. Keys got us a new key fob at over $200+ with programming, only to have the key itself wobbling after about 6 months. When I brought it back to him, he stated that it only has a 90 day warranty...What? Cheap crap. He said he would order a new "pin" for it, which would cost me another $50. Never heard from them again.Yesterday the actual metal key itself just broke in half. The rude woman on the phone only said she would pass it on to the owner, but we never heard back. He does not stand behind his products. I found a web site, Keyless Entry Remote Inc., where they sell OEM key fobs for $37. Of course you have to get it programmed, but not at the rip off price of Mr. Keys. We also have used this company for our business, but never again. By the way, the woman who answered the phone was nasty. My next stop will be Consumer Affairs and the BBB. read more

I went to MR keys in hopes of getting keys cut and fob replacements for my vehicle as my previous set and fobs were burned up when the transmission shop my vehicle was at had a fire. I stood at the counter for quite a while waiting for someone to help me or even acknowledge my presence. After about 15 min of hearing the gentleman and woman working there talking on the phones to other customers the man finally walked out of the back straight past me and didn't even say hi. Or someone will be with you in a minute. Nothing. I felt as tho they did not want my business or my money. (I was willing to pay several hundred dollars if that's what it cost.) but instead left feeling downright disrespected. read more

I realized we no longer had a spare set of house keys. Our local hardware store doesn't cut keys on the weekend (I discovered this when I walked in and saw the sign). The next local store made three separate attempts (by three different employees) to duplicate the key, but each time, it wouldn't turn after it went into the lock (it's a regular house key - nothing special). They suggested Mr Keys, who got it done correctly on the first try. Yes, it's a little bit more expensive than the local guys (3 bucks - no big deal) but I didn't need to return three times. read more
