Kim and her husband Ben are both great. They are warm and welcoming. This place is located off of 3rd street near Albertson's, but do not judge a book by it's location. It is extremely clean and well sanitized. Make sure you call for an appointment or to check to see if they are busy if you are going to drop in. Great experience! My friend and I did not have an appointment and just walked in. The atmosphere is warm with thousands of colors to choose from. It was Pleasant from the very beginning! Kim got us right in and sitting in the massage chairs with soaking hot water for our feet. it was fast and comfortable:) no pain or irritation; she works fast but thorough and was all smiles. You can really tell that all of her clients treat her as a friend and everyone loves her and the rest of the staff. For $68 both my friend and I received Spa pedicures. I requested paraffin wax for my hands and my friend for her feet. I also got a French tip! Breakdown is $25 each for the spa pedicure which is delightful $5 for the paraffin each $5 for french tips and they provide brand new files and toe spreaders for $3 which you can share with a friend if you're comfortable. Definitely was impressed by this place and we'll be coming back at least twice a month just for pampering! Just fabulous! read more

This place is fantastic! I've gone into a few different nail salons in Bend, but none of them left me with the impression that they cared about good customer service. The gals at this salon are friendly and inviting! They made me feel like they appreciated my business and took the time to do an excellent job on my nails. I stopped in here while I was on vacation and needed a fill. It is a nice place,clean decor. The owners were friendly. There were a couple things I wasn't happy with however. First, a regular fill was advertised as $18. Then I found out that in Oregon, you have to bring your own file per law, or they will provide one for you for $2. Not needed in Washington..ok fine. I got the fill and noticed he was using pink powder, even though he knew I was getting a regular fill, not a pink and white. When I asked why, he said I "had" to have the pink Solar Nail powder for my nails. I kind of shrugged, "ok"..but then he charged me $22 for the Solar Nail fill. I felt ripped off, because I was just having them polished red, I did not need the more expensive acrylic. He simply said I "had" to have that kind. On top of that, the polish was thick and wouldn't dry. Despite me sitting for 20 minutes in front of the dryer, it still smudged on several nails. I am giving two stars because I was overcharged for something I didn't need and the polish gunked up. I understand having to pay for a file. read more

I was told to go here because the were really clean and professional, I sent my mother there and she is in a wheelchair. They refused her before she even got in the door. I was stunned. I'm not going back there, it's sad cause I do my shopping at that Albertsons too. Prejudice and rude, the refusal came directly from the owner the gentleman that was working there. Disappointed, and $90 down the drain. I have a regular nail place I go to in Portland, but was in Bend for business and needed a shellac manicure. They had a cancellation so I opted to add a shellac pedicure as well. They were very nice, and the gal did a nice job on my toes, but my manicure felt very rushed. The previous shellac wasn't even all the way removed. I can still see it on the sides of my nails. Usually it is applied to the tip of the nail as well to keep it from peeling so fast. They are so rough I am afraid they will snag my tights. Plus I can already see it lifting on 3 fingers, and I just left and went to the grocery store. I still have a lot of dead skin around my nails that have new polish residue, and my hands feel hard and dry, and my nails look matte vs shiny which I did not ask for. I had to ask for lotion for my fingers before I left because they felt so dry. I will be shocked if this manicure even lasts 5 days. So disappointed. read more

I made an appointment for a pedi and waited 15 minutes before I got seated. Then I got my seat and placed my feet in the water while the person who was supposed to be attending me worked on someone else. 15 minutes later the water is cold and the lady begins to work on my feet. I wasn't sitting no more than 15 minutes after she started when I think it was the owner who shooed my lady away. The woman was ordered to work on someone else who just walked in. The lady who walked in was known on a 1st name basis. The woman who took over pulled out my nail polish color and began to paint my toes. Mind you my left foot had yet to have the nails filed. While she is painting my toes really rushed she is talking to someone who walked in and must have been a regular too. My toes were painted with no care and so quickly that it looked like sh*. Being new to Bend I didn't want to cause any problems. I can tell you this. If you are not a REGULAR customer you don't exist. It's too bad, I know there are better places that can treat all their customers equally. Poor, poor customer service. This place is HORRIBLE! I went in after work and requested an acrylic fill. The lady that was helping me was booked but stated that she'd had a cancellation and that she would take me. She proceeded to do my nails and she did them so fast that I was having doubts on how the final product would turn out. I sat there for another 10 minutes letting her finish the process only to be totally furious at the way my nails looked. She proceeded to apply color to the pitted mass of acrylic she had applied to my nails minutes before. She applied the color so quick and THICK that I had to sit under the dryer for 30 minutes. One of my nails was messed up while under the dryer and when she "fixed" it, it was with a totally different color than I had on the rest of my nails. I will NEVER use this salon again and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone looking for a place to get an acrylic manicure. Very unprofessional and very poor service. I only gave them one star because there wasn't the option to give them ZERO stars. Next time I won't be so quick to try a new place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. read more

I really wanted to find my go to nail salon, but alas.. The search is still on. This review is only on one male there, I can't speak for the rest of the employees. I felt as if my pedicure was rushed. So rushed that he cut me really bad while trimming my cuticles. I know this can happen and I get it.. But I feel as if there should've been some sort of price reduction or more of a sincere apology. He then applied the weird blue stuff multiple times to get it to stop and then continues to paint over it, leaving me with a weird blue on my cuticle under the top coat that I couldn't get off. I went here many times and it was hit and miss as to the quality of the work. Kim does a great job. But I recently went elsewhere and found out I had acrylic nails when I had been charged for gel solar all this time! They never gave me solar nails. Most of the nail techs do a very good job but unfortunately they often hurt me and never totally give what I ask for because of the language barrier. The last time I went, the nail tech had to remove my old nails, many were old and it was time, but some were newer. He said he didn't want to soak them because it took too long, so it was kind of painful and, as always, he didn't listen when I complained. I think making money and getting people in and out quick is more important to them. Honestly, most of them time my nails looked great, but I am being treated better where I go now. read more

Visiting family in Bend and took my 10-year-old niece in for mani-pedis. It was just ok. They talked me into my first gel manicure and did a mediocre job on it. the tips/corners of several nails are kinda lumpy due to extra layers of touch-up polish. They look fine from far away, but they don't feel or look smooth upon closer inspection. Pedicure looks awesome though and they have a discounted kid rate so that was nice. read more

The man cuz two of my toe nails, then he forgot to get the cuticles off of my right foot after he was done with my left. Decided to go with my mom to get our nails done and hers as well. It was going well at first, my mom had her heart set on a certain design and they couldn't do it for her which she understood. She was kind of put on the spot to figure out another color, and the color that she wanted to use was a little too clear. She ended up going with a completely different color mind you it was gel nail polish and the lady doing my mom's nails seems to be getting slightly upset at this point. She didn't properly cover the edges and set the nails. I got a set of Acrylics and they look nice at first but upon further inspection part of my nails weren't set correctly and there are many imperfections within the polish that could be my fault. Although my left index is a bit Misshapen. Would be willing to go again, maybe just try Kim. read more

I appreciate that they offer a pedicure for $25 with the option to upgrade to a more luxurious version which I did for $35 that included a scrub and parafin foot treatment. We googled nail salons in Bend and chose the first one: Pro Solar Nails and we are SO GLAD out reservations fell through. You really are treated like royalty. They fit four of us in at the drop of the hat and it was probably the best mani/pedi I've ever experienced. We had so much fun and were so comfortable-not to mention, beyond pleased with our nails!
