The staff is nice enough. I recently got a pedicure and a full set. This is the first nail salon I've been to that doesn't place the plastic nail as a barrier to protect your nail from the powder formula. I didn't think much of it at first but now my nails are in an unbareable pain. After some research I realized that the lady who did my full set used a drill on my natural nail to file down my nail plates. That is a huge no-no. I'm going to have to remove this full set ASAP! I walked in with a disaster set of acrylics done at a different salon, and immediately he was able to explain to me how they did my nails (and he described it to a T) and then explained to me how he was going to do my nails, and how the outcome could be different based on techniques. Me and my 5 year old daughter normally go to this salon every 2 weeks to get our nails and feet done. My daughter loves going here because she likes to go for ice cream at the ice cream Shop down from the salon after we're done. The last time I went to the salon, I went alone because I only needed one of my nails repaired because it had came off. They had me and another older lady, who also wanted a repair, waiting seems like forever before they got to us. They kept taking customers that came in after us before us. When the man finally got to the older lady, he was very rude and short with her and kept saying "we're busy!" When he got to me he acted the same way with me. He kept huffing and blowing like he was so frustrated. He rushed to repair my nail which ended up coming off again a couple days later. When he was finished, I asked how much is the repair and he responded "nothing" so I figured the reason we got poor service and an attitude was because the service we came in for was free so they didn't want to take the time to fix our nails. I was very disappointed and needless to say myself and my daughter will no longer use their services anymore The owners reponse: Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear you had such a frustrating experience, but I explain to you how it was. You came our store at weekend without appointment that why we can not service you until we done with our customer who took appointment online. We apologize that our service did not satisfy your expectations. Every customer after me did not have an appointment, most were walk ins and if someone would have explained to me that instead of 3 people coming to me telling me 5 more minutes every 10 mins then maybe I would've felt at easy. Still trying to figure out how the appointment system works here. Is it just walk ins only. Or maybe sometimes the nail techs make personal appointments with people..... I dont know... My first vist was ok. I opted for SNS nails and a pedicure. The pedicure was a joke, but the nice lady tried. So I would give them 3 stars for visit 1. My second visit was a complete bust. I decided, let me just do the pedicure myself and then get a polish change on my toes and SNS. I made an appointment earlier in the morning and came in 10 minutes prior to my appointment time. I waited 30 minutes until a young lady hurriedly slapped polish on my toes. She did a terrible job by the way. Then they placed me under the dryer for my toes to dry for another 20 minutes. I realized that this visit wasnt going to end in my favor and I wouldnt dare give this place any more of my hard earned cash. I paid for my toes and left. Visit 2 gets 1 star. if you zoom into the photos you can see the uneven layers of polish. this was a horrible job. i came here about a month ago and got gel polish on my toes and it was a well job so i thought i should go back again sometime. so that's what i did, i got regular polish because i didn't want to damage my nails, he did the first coat and covered most of my nail and then did the second coat but didn't cover the whole nail again then he slapped on a top coat and missed a bunch of the nail. also while he was doing my nails he'd try and look at his phone in the drawer. i didn't know his name so i can't complain about a specific person. overall it's a bad nail job and that was a waste of $15 read more

After reading the reviews, I decided to give this place a shot. It seemed nice and decently clean on the inside. However, the nail clippers my technician used seemed to not be in any disinfectant and just sitting in her drawer. The nail file she was using on me looked like it had been used many times before. My top priority with nail salons is that they are as sanitary as possible, and I did not get the impression of that here. I don't want tools that have been used on other clients to be used on me. I was fully expecting this place to live up to the hype and the great reviews on here. But sadly, I'm disappointed. My nails did come out pretty good, except a couple of them are crooked. Yesterday afternoon was my first visit to Pro Nails. I'd decided I had to find another place since the nail salon closest to my house (which I really loved at one time) has not given the greatest quality or service on the past couple of visits. But I digress... My husband and I called a few minutes ahead to Pro Nails in order to see what the wait was like for a Deluxe Pedicure (involves foot soak, free glass of wine/beverage, exfoliating scrub, mud mask, hot stones, lotion/oil, standard trim & polish--$45 total for one person getting a Deluxe Pedicure), and they said they could take us within about 20 minutes. (This was late on a Saturday afternoon, so they were fairly busy.) We arrived early, and we were immediately greeted by the manager with a big smile and friendly welcome. The staff got our chairs ready within about 10 minutes. Both my husband and I were very impressed with the friendliness of the young ladies who took care of our pedicures and their attention to detail. They both did a very thorough job on both the massage/scrub and the polish/nail care. It was one of the more relaxing experiences I've had at a nail salon recently. I can see why this place has such celebrated reviews. I came to Pro Nails for the first time tonight and was very impressed. Even though they were very busy I waited less than 10 minutes to get a mani/pedi. This isn't bad especially considering this is a holiday week. I was greeted with a bottle of water and warm soaking tub for my feet. They did a great job on my nails, were professional, and were nice and welcoming. The salon was clean, had sanitary tools, and proudly displayed their nail license on the wall. No complaints here! I look forward to going back. read more

I have been getting my nails for a long time and I have to say that Dawn by far has the best selection of colors. I recently started getting gel colors, from pink and white, so I love that there is gel and regular polish colors that match. Having my nails and toes match perfectly is fantastic! First walked in and it was so hot in there I almost passed out, but really needed a pedicure. So, I decided to stay. The lady doing my nails was sick and could not stop coughing. She didn't cover her mouth and was spreading germs all over me and the salon. The pedicure was great, but now it's been less than a week and my polish is already chipping off. I used China Glaze and have never had a problem with that brand. Just wondering if the polish was old or diluted. I doubt I will go there again. read more

I've been coming here for about two years. I always receive great service! I get regular polish manis and pedis and they are wonderful. Probably the best pedicures I've ever had! The calf massage is to die for and all the techs are equally talented, I've had a different one every time. The standard pedis are perfectly priced. If you want to treat yourself to the "tropical" for a little extra, it's AMAZING. I've never had gel, powder, tips, or fake nails (ever) so I can't speak to those services. Lovely salon! read more

I am new to Georgia, so I did a lot of asking around and reading. Normally, I would like to go to a Spa, because I hate the cattle call feel. But I didn't make my appointment with the Westin in time and my assistant made the appointments for us. I am blessed to not have a nail fungus and I like to stay that way. I had my first gel manicure and a pedicure done today with a lady who said her name was T. First, My appointment was at 10 am, because I like to get in and out to work. They were 10 minutes late opening up. But it was a nice setting. Music was soft and Ms. T tried to make it comfortable for me. I decided to try gel nails along with a pedicure. Ms. T, handed me a menu of different pedicure packages and I chose the basic package, $25. My Gel manicure was $30. The service I thought was good enough for me to try again, but I would had asked them to used my own instruments. I wasn't comfortable not seeing the tools come out of a disinfectant bag, machine or chemical. I am not sure what Georgia law is for this try of business but I will look in to it. Finally, when it came time to pay, I ask for my total and Ms. T said $60. Really??? My math told me $55. But I didn't go off because I was going to tip her $10, $5 for nails and $5 for my feet. I still paid $65, I careless how she wanted to bill it. I didn't like the bait and switch when I asked for one thing but you think you may not get a tip so you going to pad the price. Now myself and my assistant won't be back. If you go and happen to get Ms. T, get the price straight up front. read more

come with acrylic nails and they want to remove and put gel polish the man who took care of me that I just wanted to put the gel polish on the acrylic nails and when I clarified what I wanted literally I ripped the acrylic nails and the nails were left very sore and hurt that after several months I could have them healthy, oh and the gel polish afterwards it was impossible to remove it or if it fell, it definitely did not come back! read more

Being from California where you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a decent nail shop, I'll admit I was skeptical of this little low key establishment. The windows were all covered with bamboo shades, and I wasn't even sure if it was open when I arrived. I reluctantly entered to find one single technician working quietly with a customer. She asked what service I wanted, and I told her a gel manicure. After about a 10 minute wait, magically more technicians appeared from the back and it was go time. Sue was very quiet and seemed a little nervous at first. I immediately thought I was in trouble. She had some difficulty getting my old gel off, and it took a while. She then left in the middle of the removal to wax two sets of eyebrows. It annoyed me a bit, and when a third set of eyebrows came in and she left me again, I was ready to be done with this place. Then her husband stepped in and continued to remove the gel and push back my cuticles. He asked several times if he was hurting me, and I was blown away. I've never had a technician so concerned with my comfort! He was really funny and did a great job. Sue finished the eyebrows, came back and buffed and shaped my nails beautifully, then applied the gel polish with laser precision. No bumps, no streaks, no stained skin. I can honestly say this is the best gel manicure I've ever had! I highly recommend Pro Nails, you won't be disappointed! read more

I have had some great experiences and some not-so-great experiences at this salon in the past, but new management (in place for a couple of months or so) understands customer service and really seems committed to improving the overall experience. The husband and wife team moved to Georgia from out-of-state and both really take pride in how your nails look. The clientele is mostly walk-in, so it's nearly impossible to tell when it's going to be busy and when it's not, but mornings seem to be less busy than afternoons. That means a more leisurely pedicure. If you haven't tried this salon recently, it's worth another try. The worst nail salon I've ever been to. Only one man was at the counter he was taking payments as well as trying to figure out what I needed. I guess asking about the prices threw him off. For when I got my nails painted he had to tell the lady to charge me more than my quote because he didn't understand that I needed flowers on my toes. also I never been to a salon where they don't give you a foot bath and massage before painting your toes . I noticed that the next two that came in got this treatment when I did not . Then they had to get someone completely different to do my eyebrows because he also didn't relay that message. lastly the manicure started peeling immediately I did not get fake nails but there wasn't enough coating on the manicure to prevent chipping. both ladies received a tip from me amounting to $7 a piece the price of the pampering was approximately $35 plus the $14 for the tip. it was not worth the trip nor the gas to get there. read more
