This is a typical nail place but a much more modern one than what I've seen across the Golden Isles. Overall, my experience was good. I came in and sat in the pedicure seat immediately. I soaked for about 7 minutes and then received a great pedicure. I always go with a gray OPI and was pleased with my color too. My stylist did a fantastic job removing dead skin and callus. I highly recommend this salon. They are open 7 days a week. Until 7, except Sunday until 6. Lots of parking near the salon away from Lowe's parking lot. Prices are reasonable. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. My friend and I stopped in to have our fingernails and toenails done. I sat before my friend and started receiving services for about 10 minutes. Then, my friend was seated next to me and our pedicures finished at the SAME time. We both asked for a $20 pedicure and that's what was done... until we got to the register. We were charged for a $50 pedicure and when questioned the workers replied "That's the price with gel". I had a gel pedicure, but my friend brought her REGULAR polish from home and was charged more than me. They scammed both of us on the total of our services. On top of that, the pedicure was nowhere near 50 dollars. I also had a dip manicure done. My cuticles were not trimmed. Fast forward 4 days and 1 nail has broken and the other one has chipped. I have never written a review on a business but I felt as though I was doing an injustice to people if I didn't share my experience. I wish I could remember the name of my technician! She was wonderful -- gentle and patient. I had a finger injury that was still going to be minor pain. I was very impressed with how gentle she was being sure not to hurt me in the process of getting a pedicure. Overall, an excellent experience. A group of us for ladies arrived on New Year's day hoping to get manicures and pedicures. There were only three people working, so we figured we'd have to toggle the services. Especially when two other ladies arrive right behind us. I was mostly impressed with how the three worked, managing all six customers at once. I never felt too neglected. But I'm docking to start because I also felt the rush with all of the customers. And one of us noted that there technician was a little rough with two digits. Other than that, it was a fairly relaxing and wonderful visit. It's not a spa-spa - just a typical nail salon. There was one television set tuned to a family trivia show. That was a little distracting while trying to relax, but the volume was on a lower setting so that helped. And my nails turned out amazingly beautiful! I have received so many compliments. Where do I begin? Me and a friend went in together to get our nails done for the first time in years! We weren't able to sit together, which was a huge bummer, I got a mani and pedi and my friend got a mani and nail polish change on her toes. Made an appointment but still started 30 min late. I was solicited to buy products from two different people while waiting. I wouldnt even call what I got a manicure or pedicure. They filed my nails and clipped my cuticles. That is not a manicure and not worth $65. No lotion, no soap in pedicure water, soaked my fingers in a metal dog bowl in plain water. This is my regular nail salon I go to each month for full set acrylics with gel polish, pedicures and fill-ins. Having nice looking nails is a priority for me on my job. The staff @ Pro Nails 2 is attentive and usually very considerate. Sometimes they have a big rush of customers and quality can suffer when they are trying to take care of so many clients at once. Try to come when they aren't at peak hours (not Saturday mornings!) and you'll get excellent, individualized service that will meet or exceed your expectations. The prices are competitive with other salons in the area. I've always been pleased with their work. They have new pedicure chairs and they use plastic bowl liners for each new client prior to each pedicure. I see them putting their tools in the autoclave for sanitizing each time I'm there. (They are in the plaza / village with Lowe's, Office Depot, Target, PetSmart . . . next door to Skinny Pete's.) The technician was friendly. The massage chair needed replacing - I was in it for a very brief period - but it was PAINFUL - so I turned it off. My polish (french pedicure) chipped after 2 days and it seemed a bit thick and gloppy when she was applying it - but the execution / polish job was good - hence he A-OK / 3 star rating. Going to check out they charged me $50 and told me they charged me separate for the mani/pedi because I didn't ask for them together. Ive been to many nails salons and I've never heard of such a rule. I have done this way too many times to count based on how busy the salon is. The price board said $35 for mani pedi which I got in the SAME visit. I didn't leave and come back, I literally went from the pedicure station to the manicure station without break in service. Apparently adding a service not even 15 minutes into your visit makes them separate. Overall, my nail technician was really kind and friendly. I was able to get a pedicure fairly quickly and even though it was a little bit more pricey than what you would expect, the final product was decent. In fact, the color that i choose wasn't good enough for my nail technician because she thought it didn't match my skin tone and recommended another one. Fine by me. Since I suck at these kinds of things, I was happy to have someone go and actually choose a different color for me and the end result was good. This used to be my favorite salon in brunswick, and am almost always serviced by the manager himself. This time I walked in and told the manager what I wanted (my usual acrylic with gel), I was the ONLY person in the salon it was 12:45 on a Wednesday at lunch, he in his native language to his people and sent out a younger girl to do my nails. (Instead of himself this time.) typically I'm fine with that. We're 30-40 minutes in and I realize she wasn't giving me acrylic just a normal gel coat so I stopped her and said "I'm so sorry, I wanted acrylic I told the manager" they then conversed with each other laughing and shaking their heads clearly talking about me although I couldn't understand. I had SNS dip done last week and it was by far the worst manicure I've experienced. The powder was stuck to my cuticle bed area and hurt the next day. I went in to get white tips. The male that did them did a great job. My nails still looked good a week after. The male was quick to do the job, so there was no pampering; just get the job done and they looked good. While I was there I did notice two ladies getting pedicures. They seemed to enjoy it. However, I did noticed that after they got their feet done, the lady that did their feet seemed to only rise the foot tub, no cleaner to clean it. I also noticed that they only rinsed the foot files, YUCK! would have been better if they used disposable foot files. I would go back for my hands, but not for a pedi. If I could give this place a zero I would. I went in for a gel mani and a pedi. First thing is the mani didn't even last me a week. The guy didn't do a good job to begin with so I should have known but I still had hope. I asked for French and the lines were not painted all the way to the edge of the nail and some of the nails you could see through the white, meaning they didn't paint it evenly. When I asked the man to fix it, he seemed irritated and then he used the most disgusting brush to fix it. Instead of cleaning up the lines he brought streaks of white across my nail, which yes maybe from far it's not noticeable but for me it was; which brings me to my next point. They were not sanitary AT ALL. They only take measures to protect themselves but not their clients. First off they don't clean their tools. Nail files. Clippers, etc. the lady who worked on my toes DID NOT pull out a clean package of tools, she pulled them out from her "work station." I noticed they had a sanitizing machine but I didn't see one single worker bring out a fresh pair of tools. Also after finishing my pedicure the lady only rinsed the tub I was using and preceded to fill it up for the next client. To finish off the lady that did my pedi was horrible! I am not even exaggerating when I say my 12 year old sister would have done an even better job. Because they were getting a lot of walk ins the lady started rushing me. She left na Polish all over my actual toes, she didn't trim or file my nails evenly, and she also didn't paint my toe nails to the edge. When I asked her to fix it, she asked me to get off the spa chair so she can seat someone else and then fixed it when they sat me at the manicure station. Horrible experience. I go here fairly regularly, and the technicians always do a good job. They aren't afraid to scrape all the yucky stuff off the soles of your feet, and they are willing to accommodate requests for specific pedicure designs. I have tried other nail salons in the area, but this is by far one of the cleaner, better quality ones in town. read more
