I took my three grandchildren ages 11-9 to get a pedicure. The man there said they were too young for a pedicure, which I understand, but he said he could paint their toenails. I watched as one woman and that man painted their toes as if he just wanted us to leave. He used the wrong color on one girl and the other girls foot was cut slightly from the Clippers. It was obvious they did not want us there. It cost $15 to have polish put on their toes. And I did leave them a tip, but I'm not going back there again. Good nail salon in St. Simons. I got a gel manicure and had a good experience overall. I get my nails done enough to know what I like and what I don't like in a salon, and there's a lot to like about this place. The aestheticians are friendly and chatted with me throughout the process and were very technically skilled - my manicurist performed very minimal cuticle clipping with no pain or bleeding (a somewhat rare quality in a manicurist) and shaped my nails quickly and as gently as a nail file can be. Cost was $25, which I think is pretty standard. The salon overall has an excellent selection of colors and services. The polish selection is primarily OPI, including the gel colors. They perform gel, SNS, and acrylics. We didn't have an appointment and the manicurist began within 10 min or so of our arrival. There was a youngish girl who was greeting customers who was kind of rude honestly, but she left about 5 minutes into my visit, so I didn't knock any points. read more

The lady that did my nails hurried rudely through them, not even paying attention to the fact that my nails were crooked and uneven. When she was finished she rudely moved on to the next customer without allowing me to pay and I had to wait 5 minutes for her to come available so I could pay, even had to ask her if I could pay yet. When I was looking at my nails I noticed that the coffin shape I originally asked for was very squared off and uneven. When I asked her to file them a little so they would be more even, she LAUGHED in my FACE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON TO ANYONE, especially if the lady I dealt with is your nail artist. TERRIBLE. I had a 12:00 pedicure appointment. When I arrived, I told them I had a 12:00 appointment, and the young lady looked at me like I was an alien. She pointed to a pedi chair and told me to sit in one. I sat for 15 minutes, then an elderly employee who was rubbing lotion on the customer next to me, stood up, and moved over to the seat in front of me, and began rubbing lotion on my legs (not washing or wiping her hands off from the customer next to me.). She watched TV as she glided her hands over my legs and then picked up a metal cuticle pusher from the tray used on the customer next to me, and she began pushing my cuticles. I told her to stop, that she was using a dirty instrument. I asked why she didn't open an autoclave packet to use on me, but got no answer. (I was not rude, just shocked). The gentleman employee told her to move and work on a different customer. I then got up and walked out, as the male employee apologized to me. read more

I currently getting the worst pedicure of my life. He started by telling me it may burn when he removes my nail polish. Whet?! He never asks me which pedicure option I want (standard or premium) so when he starts squirting a line of cold pink goop on my legs, I'm a bit taken aback. I like the premium. Let me put on my headphones, crank the chair massage, close my eyes and enjoy. Wrong! He precedes to give me the laziest, half assed, one-handed, "I don't want to touch you", massage ever. His touch was so light it tickled. I asked him to stop and just proceed with the pedicure. Isn't a massage right after polish removal out of order anyways? During the pedicure, somehow while cutting my toe nail see him swabbing blood. He didn't acknowledge that he cut me. He didn't apologize, just gave me a silly grin and kept going. Pumice stone time. Has anyone ever had this done on a dry foot?! Any other nail spa puts callous remover gel on first. I've already decided to skip the manicure I'd planned and wait until I get home from vacation. But if he draws blood on the next foot. I'm leaving. No more blood was drawn and I must say, I'm pleased with the shape of my toenails and the polish job. But because of the lack of customer service, the lackluster massage, and a few other minor sanitary issues I observed - 1 star. read more

I wish I could leave zero stars. Literally the worst. Went for a pedicure and was done in record time. They don't do an exfoliating scrub and left calluses all over my feet. They used the callus grater that is very bad for your feet and made no effort to get rid of the calluses after I asked not to use the grater. The polish turned out okay, some of the end of my nails have a big glob of polish on them, but for the most part the polish is good. But!! 6 out of 10 of my cuticles bled (she clipped my cuticles before she shaped my nails). Great place, looks brand new but I know it's been open a few years. It's bright, airy and clean. Exceptionally clean with gorgeous massage chairs and fancy feet bowls. Polish neatly organized according to color making my selection SO much easier. Friendly staff who spoke and understood English. I view this speed as a negative...there was No hand massage, had to ask for a second coat of polish and overall a mediocre job at best. I chose this place because of the reviews. I came in for just a pedicure. When I walked in the staff just looked at me, not one person said "Hello, how may I help you?" So I signed in an waited for about 6 minutes, then finally a young girl comes over and asks what I'm getting today. She had me sit in the pedicure chair, filled the basin up with water and left me sitting there soaking for 20 minutes. Finally one guy finishes a manicure he was doing and came over, apologized and started my pedicure. He was pretty nice trying to make conversation. My pedicure was extremely fast, paint job was just ok. What I really didn't like was the fact that he had me walk on the dirty floor to the drying station. No, no, no. I would suggest to go somewhere else. We came for a mani pedi based off of the reviews on Yelp. The experience started off good, but slowly went all downhill from there. I finished getting color on my nails and moved over to get my pedicure. As I was getting my pedicure, I noticed my nail color was beginning to crack. First it was one nail, then another, and then 7 of my 10 nails had cracked through the color...so I asked the woman if she could fix them, and she said sure. But as more of the color began to chip, I asked f I could have the color removed and just not be charged for the manicure. They said unfortunately because they cut my cuticles and all that jazz, that they would still have to charge me even if I take the color off -___- They took very long for everything, I was there for probably an hour and a half, but it felt like my whole morning. I enjoy a nice relaxing treat yourself morning, but not one where I begin to feel impatient and now I'm not relaxed, but I'm anxious and irritated. You may have a better experience than me, but this is what I experienced and I wouldn't come back. Use your best judgement. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We went in on Wednesday at 605pm, the hole experience was bad, they were upset that I brought my six year old with me, there were four of us that were getting pedicures and one getting her nails done. They only worked on us one at a time but didn't even have the rest of us with our feet in the water. So, we where sitting around, My six year old wanted to use the massage chair and was playing with the buttons. Not doing anything wrong, you and I would mess with the buttons until we found something we liked, the girl doing the pedicure on one of the other adults, took the thing and turned it around, not once but twice. My six year old was fine. He wasn't doing anything wrong. When they finally got around to doing his feet, she didn't even put his feet in the water. Really, that's half of the experience. If I am paying, they should treat him just like they would anyone else. I said something to her and her comment was he is to short to put his feet in the water. He can go to the edge. He just didn't want to. The man doing my feet one scrapped one of them and when I said something, he told me that he already did it. When, he touch it he realize he didn't and then did it. Another adult that was with me, they didn't even scrap her feet. $25 for what? This was the worse experience I have even had in a nail salon. Oh, about the masks, we all had masks and one of us had it only over our mouth and they told her she need to put the mask on, but the couple that was there before us, didn't have a mask at all. The staff at Glamour Nails are very friendly. When you walk in, the store is clean and bright. The use small disposable bluffing tools. After getting a pedi I noticed that they use a cleaner to actually scrub the foot bath. I get a gel mani and pedi every two weeks and it last the whole time. True to their word I was seated immediately upon arrival and within 25 minutes my toes and fingers were drying under the UV lights. The price was extremely reasonable ($16!)
