Island Nail - I absolutely love Ms. Kim. She is absolutely my favorite with designs, and changing things up. - Nail Salons Near Me - St. Simons, Georgia

I Just had a spa pedicure and gel nails, fill in. They were great!!!! Fast, friendly and economical. What more can you ask for??? read more

I am hoping to get an appointment for today. They are professional. No, they do not chit chat. But I am not going in for conversation or companionship. I get the French SNS. It lasts a month. It looks good, holds up and yes it's expensive, but there is a lower price for cash. I am a professional. My time is my stock in trade, these people are in business and sometimes I have to wait, but I understand business. If you want a cocktail spa experience go somewhere else. It makes more appointments available for those of us who value our time. read more

Professional, friendly and they get the job done. Have tried several salons on the island and have stayed with island Nail for the past few years. read more

I've been going here for about a year and they do a good job of caring for my nails. Not a place to chat with your technician, just relax and enjoy the experience. Clean. read more

I went in for a manicure and pedicure. The place was clean, that's something I look for. They had the most extensive inventory of nail polishes and SNS dips I've ever seen! The manicure was the best I've had and so was the pedicure. Both nail techs made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. read more

I went for mani(sns) and pedi(gel). My thumb nail is cut and filed back so far! My nail is still sore on day four. The one positive thing is they were friendly. They charged me $120.00 read more

Best pedi ever!! Snowbirding in St Simon's and needed a pedi. I have one nail that needs grinding and special attention. B was my technician and he hit it out of the park. That pesky nail looks normal now and my toes are so happy!! read more

I share Kay S's experience from Georgetown, Texas. Upon entering for a pedicure, when I sat in the chair, I was handed a menu card with only two options. Although I verbalized "basic" service, I was led to believe that the two choices on the card were my only options, so I opted for the cheaper one. However, upon reaching the front desk to settle the bill, I noticed the full menu board on the wall. It revealed three options, including the basic pedicure ($9 cheaper) as well as the spa options. Additionally, spa choices came with a complimentary beverage, which was not offered. These unethical business practices are unacceptable, and I certainly will not be returning. read more

Tina was so kind and did a great job! Highly recommend stopping by Island Nail before you head to the beach :)

Very disappointed. I had a pedicure done by the only man who works there, I assume is the owner. Gave off a rude vibe as me and my partner came in. He only did one coat of nail polish on my toes. He also missed one whole nail! This was 3 days ago and the paint is already noticeably chipping. Not a very welcoming environment at all and disappointing result of the service. read more

I give them 5 stars. The staff was great. They were busy when we arrived. But the wait was not long. The staff was friendly and very professional. Would definitely go again if and when I come back to St. Simons. read more

I told the technician I wanted the "basic pedicure", which is listed on the board as $30. I heard her tell the cashier that she gave me a basic pedicure. The cashier charged me 45$ (which is the price of the spa pedicure). I told him I had specifically asked for just the basic pedicure and all he said was sorry, and still charged me higher. It's an unethical business practice and I won't be returning because of this. read more

Kim and everyone there is AMAZING. Kim always on point thank you for you do!!! Best on Saint simons FOR SURE!! read more

Island Nail - French Tips - Nail Salons Near Me - St. Simons, Georgia

What I enjoy most about getting a mani/pedi is going home afterwards and cleaning it up. I want to work on my cuticles, remove nail polish from my fingers, file my nails so they're smooth and possibly just remove the polish completely and start all over again. This was the worst mani I've ever gotten. They were friendly and chatted with me and weren't rushed. In fact there was only one other customer in before my friend and I arrived. Then another person left after waiting for so long for an appointment that she bothered to book ahead. But none of the tools were sanitized or looked clean. And I really can't stress enough how bad of a job the older woman did on mine. It was hard to watch and I'll only say so much to politely ask things like "pls fix this". The gentleman did a better job on my friends gel and pedi. And still tools not clean. But it was however inexpensive. I will not be returning though and can't recommend enough that you try somewhere else. read more

Island Nail - Worst mani/pedi I think I've ever had - Nail Salons Near Me - St. Simons, Georgia

See all

Went for a gel French manicure and a pedicure. I have an ingrown toenail now and the white was horribly thick on my fingernails( thick line and color) She would not try and fix it. Will not go back read more

If you have gel polish do not go here! I told them repeatedly that I have very thin nails and the woman still filed the polish off along with most of my nails. I could feel it on my nail bed. Other places are much more gentle. I went here because they had no wait (I know why now). Also, they had a very limited selection of OPI polishes. I have a few repeat favorite shades and they had none of them. My pedicure was fine, but 0 stars for what they did to my nails. It will take months for the damage to grow out. read more

Amazing service! Warm welcoming environment! I came in with a picture of what I wanted and they made it happen! Found my new nail place!!!

We'll start by saying the man who did my nails beyond manhandled me the entire time; my hands and my feet. I left sore! The polish on my toes looks absolutely awful, so much that I'll be going somewhere else tomorrow for them to change the polish for me. And that's on top of their polish selection being very very limited. My nails ended up being more almond shaped than coffin. & when I asked the man to try & salvage them he had an attitude the rest of the time. I will never go back and I will never recommend them to anyone. read more

Why I didn't turn around and leave the moment I entered this place is beyond me. The noxious fumes were so strong, and 3 staff people so disinterested in what they were doing should have clued me in to the kind of pedicure I was about to receive. The best thing about my pedi was that it was mercifully fast. Surely there are better nail salons on this island. Please tell me there are ... read more

I love Island Nail! My parents retired on St. Simons and for four years this has been my first stop. Steven and Anna are friendly and nice. I get pedicures and the polish lasts weeks. Definitely a must before putting on sandals or peep toe shoes! read more

Very disappointing. I asked for the best pedicure~supposedly the deluxe. Only 3 minutes of massage per leg. She applied some kind of moisturizer before and that sat longer than my actual massage. For my pedicure she clipped and scrubbed way too fast... Not relaxing at all. Almost hurt. My S and S manicure... so disappointed.. the filing was so fast and hard I was nervous with the drill. Paint chipped on my toes two days later. read more

They always go above and beyond for a very reasonable price. They don't just rush through their work but instead take the time to make sure your nails look great and you are happy with them. read more

My husband and I come here every time we come to the island. The staff is SO friendly and the service is excellent!! It's also very clean which is important to me!! I'm always pleased with my toes and nails when I leave!! read more

I stopped into Island Nail without an appointment, was taken immediately and was extremely happy with my pedicure. Ann worked very hard and did a fine job. The price was half what I pay at a fancy spa at home in Chicago, and the work was better. This is a no-frills place, but don't be turned off by the lack of luxury. Also not a place to go if you crave conversation with your technician. It is the place to. Go for a fabulous pedicure and a fabulous price. read more

I made an appointment for a mani/pedi when I was in town for a wedding. They were very friendly and the service was good. The mani/pedi cost $38, and my only complaint is that the manicure barely lasted 2 days. read more

I absolutely love Island Nails. This is a family-owned business and the care and concern for quality customer service is evident from the minute you are happily greeted when you walk in the door. The staff are very attentive to your needs and listen very carefully to what you want, whether a manicure, pedicure or both. They also have a great selection of colors! If you want a design flawlessly painted on your fingers or toes, this is the place to go! Whether the emblem of your favorite football or basketball team, something for the holidays or just to something to brighten your day, their design experts have a wide variety from which to choose. I have never been disappointed with whatever service I have chosen and I highly recommend Island Nails. read more

Went there to get my nails done bc I had a gift certificate. Worst nail experience. I told her I wanted French shellac nails. I had shellac on my nails going in, I know what it is. Anyway, she obviously did not want to do it. Kept telling me it was more expensive. I know that. Then would say it takes a lot of time. I know that too. Then tells me I should get regular nail polish bc of the time. Or I should get a color shellac bc of the time. First off, it was 3:30ish in the afternoon and they are supposed to be open till 7. If anyone is worried about the time, shouldn't it be me?! Not you! Anyway I decided that if she was going to give so much push back about doing French shellac, then she probably isn't good at it. So I just grabbed a color. She didn't even do that right though. When I left my nails were uneven, she apparently caught a hair or a piece of dirt under the shellac while it was drying bc now I have a very noticeable bump AND to top it off, it still took forever. I will never waste my time or money going back there again. Would not recommend. read more
