Susan took me back to my room, and told me that the massage table had a red light feature and asked if I would like her to turn it on. I said sure! That would be great, thanks. Nothing else was mentioned and she flipped the switch to turn it on. She then left, I got undressed, and got onto the bed to wait for my massage. Halfway through the massage, she told me she was going to use cupping on my upper back because it was tight. I said okay. Susan never once mentioned it was an additional cost. Later, as I am up at the front desk checking out, (for the first time) she mentions that the red light on the bed and the cupping were an additional $30 combined. I was very confused, and said "I didn't know that those things were an additional cost." She replied and said "I know, I didn't mention it." Needless to say I was flabbergasted. Then she said "it's hard to talk about money when you're relaxed and on the massage table." (After I left I thought to myself, I wasn't even on the massage table yet when she asked me if I wanted her to turn on the red light feature.) Because of my confusion as I was checking out, she said she'd "do me a favor and discount the additional $30 cost down to $20." I was extremely uncomfortable, felt put on the spot, paid, and left. I couldn't shake the feeling of being taken advantage of, so I emailed her that night, explaining this and how uncomfortable I felt. I asked if she would be willing to refund me the additional cost, and only charge me for what I originally booked: an hour long Swedish massage. She ignored my email and the follow up email I sent 3 days later. I didn't ask her to do these additional things, she offered them up without disclosing the cost. And at no point during the online booking process were these things disclosed. You're given the option to add on the sauna or NSDR, both of which I declined. Such an awful feeling to have information kept from you throughout the entire process and then sprung on you last minute. I just hope this review can help prevent this from happening to someone else in the future.

I enjoyed a 90 minute Swedish massage and hydro facial. Tiffany, my masseuse, has pure magic in her hands. I requested gentle firm pressure and she nailed it...not quite deep tissue, but still therapeutic. Ann, my esthetician, scrubbed, polished and hydrated my skin to perfection. The lymphatic drainage massage was my favorite part. The spa is light on amenities meaning there is not a hot tub or pool. However, it delivers the best waiting room you'll likely experience. Lounge chairs sit atop stones in a pool of water. The sounds of the babbling waters, nature (gentle bird callings) and music will deliver you straight to serenity while you await your service provider. See my pics! Erica, who is an assistant spa manager, is super UNfriendly. It was odd to find such an UNhappy person in such a tranquil setting, but even her rudeness couldn't dampen my spirits or experience. Let's hope she's in the back of the house when you visit. Cheers to protecting your energy while investing in your self-care!

My Godmother had booked 5 massages for 5 of us ladies, vacationing in Sea Island for the week...months in advance. Months in advance, she had our massages booked. However, when we arrived they couldn't & wouldn't get the 5 of us in (on a Tuesday)...two had to have theirs 3 days later, on a Friday. And of the 3 of us that had our massages on the Tuesday prior, it was a struggle to get us in at the planned 11am time slot and not one of us at 12:00pm. We spent a good 35min attempting to sort out a way for us to all get a massage in as close together as possible with the front desk receptionist, to no avail. To boot...the 3 of us that did go on a Tuesday, never received a tour of the spa. We had no idea of the Vitamin C showers, eucalyptus steam room, or the sauna. We thought we only had access to the locker area, after our massages, where we quickly had a snack. I'm quite sure this would've been a 5 star experience on another day for someone but unfortunately for us, 2 stars is the most I can give it and the 2nd star is bc of the great job that Tim did, getting the knots out of my neck & shoulders. It had been 17yrs since I had a professional massage. I was really looking forward to the full experience of it being done in a spa, let alone an award winning one. *I am still extremely grateful for the experience, nonetheless. **And I'm forever grateful to my Godmother, Jules for such a thoughtful, caring, meaningful gift. ***Thx, Jules!

The atmosphere and vibe is so clean and calming. I could definitely go to sleep in there. My bf said his facial was so good and he liked the lady that worked on his face. I wish I could remember the name of my masseuse because she was so sweet and she did a really good job. My body was already sore from walking two days in a row so the massage was painful but it was a good kind of pain if that makes sense ?? My favorite part was when she rubbed my legs and cracked my back. Omg I definitely could have fell into a coma how relaxed I was. The price wasn't bad for 50-60 minutes either. I definitely recommend them if you're in the area

Our appointment was scheduled for 10:00 a.m., and I called at 6:00 a.m. as soon as we knew we had to leave. I left a voicemail explaining the emergency and requested a callback. I received a return call at 10:00 a.m. from the staff member working that morning (2/14/26). I again explained the situation and sincerely apologized, asking if the cancellation fee could be waived given the circumstances. Unfortunately, the response felt cold and lacked empathy. I was told the charge could not be waived, despite this being a true emergency completely out of our control. We were not just charged a standard cancellation fee -- we were charged the full cost of the massage, totaling $250.00. I also requested that a manager or owner return my call to further discuss the situation, but I never received a follow-up call. The lack of response was especially disappointing and unprofessional. I understand and respect that businesses have cancellation policies to protect against no-shows and last-minute cancellations. However, there should be room for compassion and discretion in genuine, unavoidable emergencies. Customer service and empathy matter. We will be returning to Savannah to complete the trip we were unable to enjoy, but we will choose a different spa. I would rather support a business that demonstrates understanding and care toward its clients. I did not want to give any stars but it would not let me post review without it.

I had been looking forward to this appointment all week, but in the chaos of planning bridal showers, the day completely slipped my mind. Thankfully, Leah at the front desk (who is always so kind and welcoming) gave me a call, and I rushed right over. The moment I walked in, Leah greeted me with her sweet smile and calming energy. That's when I met Atia, who would be my massage therapist--and wow, what a blessing. Atia is a true master of her craft. She immediately put me at ease with her kindness and patience after I arrived late, and once we began, I quickly realized I was in the hands of someone extraordinarily knowledgeable. She has such an intuitive understanding of the body; every movement was intentional, and the way she explained the areas of tension and why they were tight was both fascinating and comforting. Not only was the massage itself incredible, but she struck the perfect balance between conversation and quiet relaxation. That's not an easy thing to do, and Atia absolutely nailed it. By the end, I was so grateful that I gave her a big hug--I couldn't help it! Of course, the Woodhouse experience is about more than just the massage. The hospitality staff deserve their own spotlight. Leah is always attentive and patient with any questions I have, and Emily adds such a thoughtful touch in the relaxation lounge. On my very first visit she made me feel so cared for, and on this second visit, she even remembered my name--such a small detail, but it left a huge impression. She goes out of her way to make sure guests feel pampered, whether that's by bringing the perfect beverage or simply radiating warmth. Between Atia's unmatched skill, Leah's front desk sweetness, and Emily's heartfelt care, Woodhouse Spa Savannah has set the bar impossibly high. I already can't wait for my next visit next month. This place is truly a sanctuary.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere set the tone: calm, soothing, and exactly what you want from a spa. The quiet room was my favorite spot -- stocked with mimosas, trail mix, cozy blankets, and even warm airplane-style pillows. I actually ended up taking a little nap there (which honestly felt like a luxury in itself). For treatments, I booked a deep tissue/hot stone massage with Jessica -- and WOW. She worked out every knot with just the right pressure while keeping the whole experience relaxing. It was exactly what my body needed. Between the thoughtful service, relaxing amenities, and my husband's sweet surprise, this spa day was unforgettable. I'm already planning my next visit because once you experience Woodhouse, you'll want to keep coming back. Savannah gem for sure!
