Walked in for a gel polish change & was quoted $30. No prices listed anywhere. After service the tech tried to charge me $35. When I told her I was quoted $30 she got the mgr, who said it was extra charge bc my nails are long. I explained I should have been quoted that amount (they could see length of my nails when I walked in). Manager was rude. Will not be returning. read more

I haven't been here since the pandemic, so much has changed with the quality of work. My toes look a mess, she messed up my eyebrows. I'm just pissed. The place is under new management from the last time I was there and you can tell. An not in a good way! When I told her about my eyebrows she said sorry and put some makeup on it!! Yeah I won't ever be coming back! It was good to see old faces but sad to see the quality of work they give out now. The front countertop was a mess with Dusty candles I guess they want to sell those. It use to look clean and welcoming when you walk in. read more

I have been coming here for Years! I go to the same nail tech Nina. She is amazing! Always friendly, courteous, and knows her job. I never had a bad experience in this shop. I call ahead for my appointment and whatever service I get is my time in the seat .. so I 90 percent of the time get a sugar scrub so my appointment usually is 45 mins .. they have some higher services that I treat myself to every once in awhile .In my opinion the prices are pretty fair for the quality of service and ambiance of the space . I just today did the private room for $10 extra .. you get a space to yourself with snacks and upgrades chair .. as well as a beverage! I really enjoyed the space . Very pretty, private and relaxing. read more

To began my fresh fill-in w/out removing all the previous gel polish is INSANE! I came in for a fill in and cut down. The manager, first station when you walk in, very nasty attitude, I asked her a simple question out of curiosity, I wasn't rude all and she exploded. I asked "why can't you file off the green" literally with NO attitude! I was on the phone and I thought I was crazy but my sister who was on the other end even asked why is she talking to you in that way so I left. I've been before with no problems but this will be my last. Totally ridiculous and unprofessional! The manager said, "It's just the way you taking it" trying to gas light me! I took it the way she said it! CLEARLY. read more

Let me start by saying Hana was amazing & she was sweet and professional she did my pedicure then I was switched over to someone miserable Didn't get her name because she was extremely rude but the lady who did my nails obviously hated her job & hated being there the customer service was awful and nails were mediocre She offered a new style of nail multiple times, continued to decline and I think that's when she got an attitude, I wanted a full set when I sat down with her she asked me if I wanted a manicure included with the full set because a manicure was sold separately. I asked her exactly what does that mean and basically she described prime and prep which in my experience is a part of the process. She continued to say things like you must not get your nails done a lot & things like this is how it works you maybe just haven't been to a salon in a while. Worse service I've ever experienced. When it was time to pay, they automatically assumed I wasn't gonna tip so I was rushed out I had every intention on tipping Hana but they were just rude I would not suggest this salon. The bedtime manner is just awful, they penny pitch and it's not worth the price read more

I have been coming here with my mother for years and it used to be our go to spot. We went yesterday and both got gel manicures and pedicures. I was immediately sat along with my mother and they started with my pedicure right away. My mother sat there for 30 minutes waiting for someone to start hers. By the time I was done with mine (which was rushed nonetheless) they had just started hers. With my pedicure, the lady didn't cut or clean my nails (which I've never had to ask either of those things before when getting a pedicure). I didn't notice this until I looked down and she was already painting my nails without doing either of those things. I chalked it up to me not asking for those specific services, but in the countless pedicures I've gotten, I've never had to ask for that. When I was getting my callus removal, she cut my heel so deep that it bled for the rest of the time I was there. The color on my toes was okay, but I didn't want to be completely inconvenient and make her redo it, so I just asked if I could have something lighter on my fingers. Based on the swatch I saw, it was exactly what I wanted, but when the bottle came out, I could tell it was way brighter than shown. Still not completely sold on the color, I asked her to swatch it one time on one of my fingers, and she started to get a rude attitude for me asking. I was uncomfortable so I said I liked the color (even though I didn't) and just hoped with a couple coats it would grow on me. After 2 sloppy coats, she did the top gel coat, rubbed my hands with the oil, and told me I was done. I honestly was in such shock that I just said nothing because I couldn't believe I paid so much for such a horrible paint job. There was paint on my fingertips, the cuticles weren't clean, and I can see streak marks from the paint brush. I spoke up a few times throughout the service about the color and how I wanted things done and felt like I was dismissed so she could move onto the next customer. I understand they were busy, but I think blowing people's requests off when they are paying 100+ dollars for quality nails is a complete rip off. I should've asked for them to be redone but at that point was uncomfortable and mad and just wanted to leave. I highly recommend not coming here if you want quality nails and quality service. read more

This place has so many nail techs it's hard to tell who is good. They aren't great with newer techniques. I got dip there and it started lifting in a week. Also my mom got nail fungus there. Everyone is nice though and the vibe is ok but probably won't be returning. read more

I love coming here the prices and quality of work is wonderful! But the manager is rude and argumentative. Best advice make an appointment with who you want before you come, because the manager will try and put you with anyone. I was charged a take off fee when it's usually included in the gel x service. I was charge for it because another tech took off my nails during my pedicure not the tech that was going to do my nails. I come regularly and always tip! Today that manager caused her employee to get no tip. read more

I've gone here several times and it's always busy! Horrible Customer Service After being a long-term customer here, I will Never spend another penny with this company. I typically get my Manicure and Pedicure every 2 weeks, ONLY with Jennifer. I made an appointment after my appointment with Jennifer for 3/12 for both my daughter & I to ONLY have Jennifer, which was supposed to be a Surprise. I confirmed the appointment prior and drove from Owings Mills to Towson, picked up my daughter & drove to Salon. Upon my arrival, the front desk person told me in a very Unprofessional Manner that she sees our appointment but it's with someone else. I explained to her (although she actually scheduled the appointment) that my appointment was made 2 weeks ago, with Jennifer only. Then she stated it looks like someone moved it yesterday, we can have you come back at 1pm. I explained to her that it was unacceptable that I have a 9am appointment & they altered my appointment. I was in tears, because I was doing something special for my daughter & they didn't show one ounce of Empathy. As a Business Owner, I would never mess up a client's appointment and then act as if I don't care. It's very sad that she felt she could just move a Black customers appointment, but wouldn't have moved "Karen's". DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED! read more

This morning I ran a 5k. Afterwards my plan was to shower, get my feet done, and watch church online while my feet were getting rubbed. I asked Google who was open on a Sunday at 10am. This Pro Nails was the only salon open. The rest of the nail shops open at 11am and noon. Pros: *Nina was an excellent technician. She gave great attention to my legs, feet, skin and nails. *Sugar scrub and callus treatment with sugar scrub $40. *Check in with Yelp gave me 5% off. Things to keep in mind: *Because they have the earliest hours on Sunday, its packed. My wait was an hour. *They'll give you a heads up on your wait time. I walked to Walmart and did some necessary shopping. So it was nice to be in an area where I can shop while I wait. The hour wait was a bit much. I now know that Sunday mornings are not the best time for my patience. I will try this salon again on a regular day/date. The service and outcome was great. read more

I've never been overly meticulous about my nails, however this was the absolute worst nail experience I have had yet. I'm very disappointed with the quality and inconsistency. I came for a walk-in for an acrylic fill with gel polish. I asked to remove the gel because I am in a nursing program and will need to remove the polish in just a few weeks anyways. She informed me this would be $5 extra just because I did not want gel. Lily then began to clip chunks out of the nail (see the pic below). Instead of fixing it, she just painted over it with polish. The polish was painted unprofessionally and when I had asked her to repaint them, she started scraping the polish at the end of the nail with her fingernails. Walked out very unhappy that anybody would pay for such awful quality, even after she had "fixed them." read more

Not a bad salon, lots of nail techs so your wait shouldn't be long. I've only been twice in the past two months but this has been my take away: confirm pricing before you begin. I went the first time in June, standard gel manicure, $30. I went again last month in July and was charged $40 for the same standard gel manicure. Since this was only my second time at this salon, I couldn't remember what I had paid the last time so I paid the $40. Later I checked my online banking and confirmed that I had paid less the last time I was there. I know I should have spoken up, but I'm not a fan of mystery charges so I will not be going back. read more

Pro Nails located at 706 Baltimore National Pike Catonsville, Md 21228. I used to patronize this location for years. Recently, I went there to have a pedicure. I was given a person who obviously have never done a pedicure before. I didn't want to complain so I kept asking him to do my cuticles and to shave my nail so they will be smooth. He didn't understand English, so the lady next to me tried to speak with her pedicurist, she didn't speak English. A lady tried to ask her manicurist and she ignored her. We all looked at one another and shrugged our shoulders. I was paying 50.00 for my pedicure and didn't want it to look like my 9-year-old granddaughter did it, which it did. I didn't want to make the fella feel bad, so I went to show the manager hoping she would just have it fixed. She walked back & forth past me as if I were invisible. I finally asked are you the manager, she looked me up & down then said yes. Before I could complete my sentence, she cut me off and asked who did my pedicure. She then just waved someone over, they didn't speak English. She explained IDK what in Spanish, so they took me back and did absolutely nothing but polished over the lumpy scraggily nail. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE MONEY GOING HERE! There is NO customer service, none of them care about the customer, you are treated as a nuisance. read more

Love this salon and will definitely be back. It is nestled on the end of the strip mall (where H-Mart is). My recommendation is to come in by the 2nd entrance instead of the light- way easier that way and less congested. I decided to check this place out after stopping into Nail Trix up the street and finding out they had a 30 minute wait. I'm glad I did, because this place was fantastic and I will definitely be back. This place wasn't terribly busy, I think because it is a little tucked away. The salon is clean and nearly organized. The staff was friendly and helpful right from the beginning. The ambiance was nice and relaxing. They have 3 rooms where they do pedicures- somewhat secluded so that you're not out in the open, each with probably 6 chairs. I picked a color to try for a gel manicure. I had never gotten gel before but wanted to try it. I sat down with Michelle, who was friendly and knowledgable. She looked at the polish I chose and suggested a different color based on the look I was after. My nails look awesome, so I'm glad I went with her suggestion. The manicure probably only took 30 minutes? It was quick- but not rushed. Michelle was efficient and took time to neaten my cuticles, file, buff, etc.- but without feeling like she was rushing to get through. The gel mani was $40 before tip. I'm not sure what the going rate is, but I loved being able to walk out of the salon without worrying about messing up my polish, so it was well worth it to me. I will definitely be back to try their pedicure services as well. read more

I'm just so disappointed that I even came to this nail place, such a shame. I guess I was just too desperate after months of not getting my nails done due to coronavirus. I wish I had just waited until my usual spot opened up. When I arrived there the lady they assigned me lied to me in face claiming she knew how to do designs , that was a lie that she confessed afterwards, after charging me as well, it was supposed to be coffin shape , but it ended up being some weird shape. She wasn't professional at all, rushed the whole process, because I guess she didn't want to be the last one left at the shop. The filing was too much and she wasn't hurting me, but she didn't stop even after I said ouch. The spa pedicure is a joke, the wackest service I ever received. Again rushing with the scrub, barely put the callous remover, and use of cheap products. I definitely don't recommend this place. My desperation was just too much. The only good thing about this salon, is that they used safety precautions, and everything was well sanitized. read more

I genuinely HATE having to post such a poor Yelp review, given that I I only made Yelp to post these pictures and talk about my experience. Currently, I'm taking antibiotics because of the yellow, pussy infection that showed up on my toe immediately after leaving Pro Nails Salon. As you can see in the photos, there's a yellow pocket and bright red skin around my toe, which has made it difficult to walk for the past two days. Please please PLEASE do not go here for a pedicure. My Aunt recommended this place when I told her I was in bad need of a mani, pedi, and eyebrow clean up. My appointment was set for 12:30, I arrived at 12:20 and was taken to a pedicure chair by 12:35. I received all 3 services by 1:45. She specifically Terry and I can see why! She took her time placing and shaping my nails because I had ridiculously crooked fingers and all but one are straight (which I can live with)!
