I came into town for thanksgiving, coming from a big city (San Jose) you would think small tiny Soledad would treat customers with respect when I asked the man who works there (didn't get his rude name) if he knows of any other nail salons in Soledad since they couldn't take me because they were apparently so busy (even though I mentioned several times I had no problem sitting and waiting until someone can take me) and he said NO very rudely.. like okay, I asked if there's only 1 salon in Soledad and he just said I DONT KNOW SORRY.. PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING HERE!!! I was hesitant about leaving a yelp review because I'm not one to complain but I decided what this salon did is unprofessional. I had been going to them for almost 2 years now, I would get acrylics, fills & pedicures. I also got my mom & sister to go & they became our go to salon. I love their work & the girl on chair 3 & chair 2 were my favorites they always knew what I wanted. However, their system on taking appointments is unprofessional & unorganized. I would have to call a week in advance & whenever the older lady would answer she would literally say "no no appointment" & hang up. There would be times I would show up early & they would get mad because I was "too early". Other times I would show up ON TIME yet I had to wait 15-30 minuets for them to free up & i never complained. We had an issue where my sister booked an appointment & we were 15 minutes late & ever since the salon BLOCKED OUR NUMBER. A professional salon would never do that. We would have to find someone else's phone to make an appointment. & of course they would always talk about us. Last time I called which was maybe 2 months ago, they told me they weren't going to be able to take us in as clients because my sister missed her appointment, so they decided they weren't going to take the whole family as clients. We are paying customers, we paid for the work they do. I referred many people to them because I do like the work the girl in chair 3 & 1 do.The older lady is rude & judgmental. She would answer the phone & hang up without saying bye. I'm just disappointed in the way this salon is being ran. Super unprofessional & unorganized. It's okay for us to wait 30 minutes when you are running behind but when we are late 15 minutes they block us. They also don't have a huge variety in colors. Please keep in mind, if you are planning to go here, call a month in advance & call from a private number so they won't block you. Also beware you might have to wait but if you run late just don't even bother going, they'll have someone else by the time you get there. TERRIBLE DO NOT waste your time or Money. I came in for Dip powder and the lady didn't know how to do it. She attempted it once and wiped it off. This should have been my Red Flag. She finished, charged me $35 for a mediocre job. Nails filed terribly wrong. And they chipped before the next day. I called and they couldn't take me in to fix it because they were "busy". Few days later I came back to just get the hideous job removed. By then my nails were breaking. They still wanted to charge $10 for taking them off on top of the $35 I had already wasted. It was so horrible! My nieces and my sister went and soon as they went inside, the employees kept saying "do you want gel nails" or "gel nails are better" when we told them we only wanted nail polish. When they did one of my niece's nails she gave the nail tech a picture of 90's flowers and he smudge them and did gel when all of us told him we wanted polish. When my other niece got her feet painted, we told them she wanted black and white in a pattern but the lady who did it, did one foot all white and the other foot all black! When they wanted to put their feet in the water, she put them on tiny stools and did their feet in a rush. They forgot all about my sis! When they redid my niece's nails they used two different shades of white!! When we came back she made up every excuse in the book. Luckily she gave us back our 30$ but kids shouldn't be treated poorly because they pay the same as adults so they should be treated the same. Do yourself a favor and don't come. read more

I just love this place! Just like any nice nail salon you'd find a bigger city but so much closer! They were extremely competitively priced... i got a gel nail manicure $25 and $35 pedicure. They had a ton of colors in gel nails and both the manicure and pedicure included a ridiculously relaxing massage. I really enjoyed the orange scrub while sitting in the huge massage chair. She kindly offered me water and a mint as well. She was extremely kind and made several creative suggestions regarding my nails. I was also pleased that it was so clean and smelled quite good. The decor was nice and modern and clean as well. She also had some really cute nail art and I just love my little Christmas tree decals! I would come here again in a heart beat!!! It was an excellent value.... and soooo relaxing! No need to drive to Salinas or Monterrey! I can't wait to go back! read more

My first time getting a pedicure and thanks to the great reviews I decided to try this place out with my sister before a big trip. I called on Sunday and asked if they had any openings available that morning and they told me to come on in. When I arrived with my sister we were greeted by two very lovely ladies who got a couple chairs ready for us. They asked us to pick out the colors we wanted so we went to the mini color bar. My sister chose hers and I chose a French pedi. We were treated like royalty! We sat in our chairs and got a nice warm soak. We were offered the more expensive pedicures but we politely declined and they didn't try to push it. The ladies were so gentle with us, we got our callouses removed, scrubs on our feet and legs, massages and a hot wrap. Our nails were trimmed beautifully and with precision same with our cuticles. After the hot wrap our nails were prepped for polishing. My sister chose a dark almost black violet and her toes came out beautiful! The lady asked my sister if she wanted any designs on them and my sister declined. I opted for the French pedi and the lady offered to put rhinestones on my big toes lining the white line so I accepted. It was only 5 extra dollars and my nails came out beautiful! In total my sister and I paid $56. Two weeks later and my nails still look the same. I will definitely be back to this place as I'm getting married soon. Called on a Monday to set an appointment for that Friday for myself and sister at 5 we arrived on time and checked in up front we were told to take a seat and by 5:30 we were still waiting and another customer checked in for her 5:30 and then a group of 3 checked in for their 5:30 as well. The group of 3 were seated and immediately and helped. I understand maybe their artist was ready before whoever I had my appointment with and I'm not one to be confrontational so I waited. At 6pm the customer with the 5:30 spoke up and said she had been waiting for 30mins this is when I spoke up as well and informed them my sister and I have been waiting an hour now to be seen when we had an appointment . They then sat myself and the girl who spoke up but I was just at an empty station with no artist, I saw the girl who had the 5:30 who spoke up being helped by an artist and it was 6:30 at this point so I got up and informed them I had to leave. Immediately 3 of them stood up and told me no to stay and they would help me. I told them I had already been waiting an hour and half for my 5pm and I had to leave. My sister was having a wedding during this time of Covid and decided to give this place a second try. Im the type of person to not rely on a first experience however if its bad a second time that is usually a no no. I came here after my first experience was really bad and left unsatisfied, im new to soledad so I really wanted to find a good place. I began with a pedicure, i was excited because I'm that person that after work want to relax and was excited about the massage chair, well what do u know its not working, that chair in particular wasn't working and decided to leave me there without offering to sit me in another. The pedicure was as expected although they also made no effort to briefly massage my feet or legs like they do in other salons. It was so fast I felt rushed. Then I wanted a full set, right off the bat she glued a acrylic crooked and i told her. She looks at it like she does t know or can't tell when it was suuuupper obvious. She took it off and added new ones, when she was finishing up and shaping them coffin like I wanted they looked ok but when I left and examined them they were just bad, i don't know how to explain it but they looked rushed and not polished. Please do yourself a favor and go to Salinas anywhere in salinas, if we continue to support them they will think they can do our nails however they well please and still have the audacity to ask for a Tip. Book an appointment with days in advance you are guaranteed a spot and avoid the wait. Honestly the best place in town and it is proven with the amount of business they have. They push for you to get the more expensive pedicure, but not in a rude way. Sweet service with quality manis and pedis. I had bruises on my forearms and when the manicurist massaged them she checked to see if it was painful. When I sat in the chair with my purse in my lap she took it and hung it up for me. I decided to check out this new nail/beauty shop in my neighborhood, and I'm so thrilled I did! Won't have to make the drive to Monterey anymore. Linh took such great, meticulous care of me. I'm extremely sensitive to any filing, cuticle clipping, polish, etc. She's a real pro and made my nails and hands look FABULOUS, at a great price too. I have officially found my new nail salon. The service here was wonderful and Kayla was heaven sent. Even though I showed up at 7:15pm (they close at 8pm) she took me in and gave me 5 star treatment. I was greeted with a smile as soon as I walked in. They offered water and tea (more than once) and I was seen almost immediately. I had a gel mani done, it was excellent. Kayla was gentle (none of my fingers were cut), she did a great job shaping the nails and the polish was impeccable. I think what I liked the most was the way the salon made me feel (like a valued customer). I know what great customer service is suppose to feel like and it was definitely felt here. Great gel nails and pedicures! They are welcoming and try to please you. Gel nails last almost 3 weeks and pedicures longer. The shop is clean and they act as though they want you to come back and are happy to see you. . If you get pedicures after nine you get one free. I never feel as though they are rushing through my manicure or pedicure, even when others are waiting.
