I tried to give this place a chance multiple times, but never again (will always drive to Salinas). Their tools for pedicures are unsanitary and they reuse the foot scrubbers pumice pads. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to tell the lady the scrubbers were used and she needed to use new ones.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also tried speaking to the owner and she was not there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is a major concern due to spread of fungus and infections. I expressed my concerns and that I was going to file a complaint with the California Board of Cosmetology and local Health Department. I appreciate her and Kuty, who was in charge of my manicure, and Kuty did my nails at the same time as my pedicure. Both ladies did a phenomenal job at making sure everything they did was done correctly. I've gone to pro darling Four or five times. All were slightly okay but this time was the worst. I went in and asked for ombre and they charged me $10 extra for the styling of the nail and five dollars because they said the prices were old. When I told her what I wanted she said NO and did MY nails the way she wanted!!! When I asked her if she could shave the side of my nail because it was crooked she spent two seconds filing it and it ended up still being crooked. When I asked her to do just a little bit more she said NO that's fine. I'm never picky about my nails but I cannot believe how rude the nail stylist was and that she didn't give me the nails that I had asked for. Update 8/22/20 Was excited to visit my favorite nail salon when I found out they were open and doing nails safely outside. Called to make an appointment for 3pm. Never have I ever had to wait. But I waited a full hour and a half before I was sat. Right when I sat down I asked for almond shape and the tech looked confused. If you see the most recent clear pink picture you can tell each nail was a different shape. Mind you i went with them shaped the way I like them. I legit said same shape. Told them before they were painted they were crooked. I don't think she understood. The more she tried to fix them the shorter they got. She also didn't clean up or trim cuticle area. Just a file of the nail. Don't know if this was a service they can't provide right now due to Covid. So when I went to pay she told me $30 yet on the board I've looked at a million times it said $25. And with no clean up or hand massage. Did I just get sucked in to paying more for less?? I was with a friend who noticed I was upset about my new, misshapen, short nails! Kim did tell my tech to fix them but fixing them meant SHORTER NAILS! So I passed paid my over charged nails and left. I'll wait until Annie comes back to return. Hopefully she isn't gone for long. The new team wasn't so great. Update: Still loving this place. They are busy so as long as you call ahead they will accommodate you!! I live in San Francisco now for college, and even after going to many nail places over there it doesn't compare to the services done here! Every time I come back home I get a mani & pedi. I usually call about 3hrs before and every time they ask to jot my # down. I don't mind because I understand it is very popular and busy, especially since I didn't make an appointment. They usually call me back 1-2hrs later which is reasonable. When I arrive they are always so nice and welcoming! I get a gel manicure and the #2 deluxe pedicure which is totally worth the price!! For the people saying they don't speak English: 1st of all that is rude. It has nothing to do w/ their service on how they do nails. FYI: They DO speak&understand English. Just because they are not fluent does not make their business any less. I've also heard them speak a little bit of Spanish, so it's nice to see that they try their best to give good service to ALL their customers. If you are person who refuses to make appointments, call ahead, or wait 30minutes just don't come. This place is popular and it WILL be busy. I asked for a glitter ombré and she did just that but she covered half the glitter she put down with a pink acrylic. Not a very clean place. Tools are being used on multiple clients before being cleaned, if at all. If you go on a busy day they say to write your number down and they'll call you and then never end up calling. If you try to get an appointment more than 1-2 days ahead they say they don't take appointments that far in advance and you should call a day ahead but when you call a day ahead they say we might be full, to walk in and ask or try again tomorrow. Friendly in person but not over the phone. Poor organization and hygiene. The nails are decent but a little too thick depending on who you see. If you don't mind the drive to Salinas there's a little nail shop next to great clips in the Lucky's Shopping Center. They are a smaller salon like this one with similar pricing except every time I go, They bring out fresh tools and disposable supplies to use which I really appreciate. read more

This place use to be my favorite place to get my nails done. I used to come here every 2 weeks for a pedicure and a fill or a full set usually paying a good amount of money. I never really liked appointments, because I like to walk in and be seated or if I have to wait 15 20 or even 30 mins I'd gladly do so. I'm giving this place a 2 star because (it could've been lower but) they do a really good job but it's been getting more and more busier that they want to call you when THEY are ready.. I'm a barber, so I know what it is to be in their position as it is to be in a clients position but in this industry I dont feel like the stylist or person doing the service should call you to come in. If you reserved your appointment it is ok but if you just want a simple gel polish, it shouldn't necessarily need an appointment like a full set of acrylic nails. I've been here trying to get my nails done on 3 separate occasions but it's always been the same "I'll call you when I'm ready." We all have a life and not all of us will be ready when you are. So if theirs someone willing to pay top dollar for their nails or whatever service it may be, it isn't a wise idea to turn them away. If their willing to wait instead of wait for your call take them instead... After my third attempt trying to get my nails done I will never return. read more
