Specifically less than 2 inches and I showed her what I wanted. I also showed her where my extensions are (professionally installed k tips and weft extensions) and she even commented about it. Later I found out they have a policy restricting them from cutting extensions which she clearly violated. She chopped off 5-6 inches of my hair. Blunt cut. Extremely choppy and uneven. I tried to reach out to management and the owner in hopes they would do the right thing but apparently have no integrity so I will be pursuing the legal route for the damage done. I will include (days) before and right after and I'm sure you can tell which is which. Very disappointed in their lack of responsibility and integrity handling this issue. Both of them do a great job with fades, beards, or off-the-wall cuts like my son's Mohawk. They take the time to ensure quality work but are also efficient so you're not sitting in the chair too long. They're both also great to talk to and have relaxing music playing. Last but not least they have professional front desk staff that always greets you with a smile and there's beer on tap. That checks all my boxes. Highly recommended this place!

Bad experience and would not go back. Here is why…read more I had scheduled a time/day to get my hair cut. The stylist took 6 hours (no exaggeration) to do my hair. It got to the point where it was 10:00 p.m. and I just had to leave. I couldn't take it any more. She didn't even finish my hair all the way and she made me very uncomfortable. It wasn't until the next day that I realized just how bad my hair really was. My roots were not even touched and my hair was very uneven. To say that this was the worst haircut/dye that I have ever received, is an understatement. So naturally, I decided to go back to the salon and just ask them to fix it. I didn't make a big deal about it at all and I would have been fine just getting it fixed. Upon entering the salon the following day, I spoke with Jeff and explained my situation and how I requested to have my hair fixed. Jeff then proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay for another appointment...I politely explained the situation again and requested that my roots just be touched up and my uneven hair trimmed. Jeff stated he would have to speak to his supervisor (maybe, the owner?), Melissa and I would be contacted. Was I contacted? Nope. In fact multiple times I had to follow up and send multiple pictures to finally get another appointment scheduled. Luckily, when I came in and got my hair fixed, a new stylist fixed my hair and I was pleasantly relieved. It should be reiterated that no one including the supervisor, Melissa, the owner, or anyone ever contacted me to apologize including when I came back in person to get my hair fixed. In addition, I should also point out that whenever a stylist leaves the salon, the company sends out emails, and at times will explain why the stylist left. For one particular stylist, the email stated, "XXXX has left Willow Sage Salon on unfortunate terms. Her conduct has not been in line with our values, and we cannot continue working with her." In my opinion, this is unprofessional and these type of things should be kept in house. There is no need to air dirty laundry out to the public. By doing this, it doesn't reflect positively on the business and raises questions about the company and business practices. To summarize, all of this could have been easily avoided and I wouldn't have posted a review if better customer service would have been implemented. The owner or supervisor-anyone should have contacted me, apologized and resolved the problem immediately by booking another appointment. I shouldn't have had to continue to follow up multiple times etc. I will never go back. Do not recommend.

What was most disappointing was that when another customer walked in without an appointment, the employee immediately took him ahead of me for my scheduled appointment time. It was clear he was a walk-in because she mentioned there would normally be two people ahead of him, yet she still allowed him to go before me without even asking if I was okay with it or offering any explanation. After checking in with Toya, I was taken to the shampooing area. I asked for warmer water, but instead, I was blasted with ice-cold water that soaked the back of my shirt and dribbled down my back. After the shampooing, I showed Toya the specific hairstyle I wanted. She told me my hair was already close to that style, but when I requested a trim and shape to match, she stepped away to Google unrelated hairstyles. She even took pictures of me and my hair without my consent before she started cutting. Toya took creative liberties that strayed far from my request, leaving my hair uneven, choppy, and significantly shorter than I asked for. To hide the mistakes, she used gel to spike it up and make it look "good." Once the gel wore off, my hair looked absolutely horrific. I went in with nearly shoulder-length hair and left with a haircut resembling a very bad, short bowl cut with extremely uneven sides. It is one of the worst haircuts and experiences I have seen ever. When I called the manager to discuss my experience, I was met with justifications for Toya's actions and excuses for her behavior. I requested to speak with someone higher up, but the manager responded, "I don't know if I have permission to let you speak to my boss; I can find out," implying she might call me back, however she never did. She also provided a number for their "customer service," but when I called, it directed me to an unrelated business in Ohio. UPDATE: I was finally able to get ahold of the director by calling another store, the director was very polite and granted a refund to me and will talk to the team.
