From our first conversation with Pro Comfort Control, we knew they were different. During the May 2024 heatwave, we researched over 10 HVAC companies (spreadsheet and all!), but they really stood out. They were the only ones who combined exceptional professionalism with prompt communication and really listened to what we needed and did not try and oversell us. Their price was very reasonable too.   While others didn't even return our calls, Pro Comfort patiently answered all our questions. Their honesty and deep HVAC knowledge made choosing them easy. As a family-owned business, you can tell they truly believe in good old-fashioned customer service and are passionate about what they do.   When it came to installation, their team was clean, efficient, and detail-oriented. We're so impressed that we see this as the start of a long-term partnership for all our HVAC needs.   If you're in Framingham and need a heat pump or HVAC install, we would recommend them in a heartbeat. They'll also help you qualify for rebates, 0% financing, and break down all your net costs.

Bosch heat pump

Great small business with big business service and attention. Ryan and Alex were great to work with and they complement each other very well on the technical (Ryan) and business (Alex) side. They were competitively priced against the other vendors that we reached out to. They were very attentive to our needs and concerns, and they answered all of our questions. There was no BS or sales talk in our conversations. Ryan and team did a wonderful job removing our old furnace and AC condenser, installing our new Bosch heat pump and furnace system, and the piping/venting work was top-notch! We are very happy going with Pro Comfort Control and have no reservations recommending their services. In fact, we choose the more expensive of the two options that Ryan quoted us because of his technical experience and emphasis on a long-term relationship.

The work we had him do involved re-fitting some radiator pipes for a new radiator, installing a Slantfin 30 radiator, removing a cast iron radiator, and capping off some un-used branches from our HW heating system. Chris came, gave us an estimate of the level of effort and worked with us as had some project hiccups and scheduling issues we encountered. I appreciate that the whole time Chris was very honest about how much time parts of the job would take, what his rate was and how he passed on materials costs. I always take it as a good sign when a contractor is very honest and communicative - two things Chris excels at. He showed up on time, ready to work and worked steadily. After he was finished with the radiator install, he fired up the boiler and helped us bleed the air out of the system, taking his time to ensure the boiler filled properly, fired up, and started to heat our home. He also wanted to test the radiator he had installed for us to ensure that most of all, his work was done correctly. I appreciated his attention to detail and willingness to stick around and ensure the job was done correctly. Overall, we found Chris to be an awesome guy, and a reliable and knowledgable plumber. We will be going to him for all of our plumbing needs for years to come.

SumZero Energy Systems - Somebody has to do it I guess... doing over couple dozen brazes in 140 degree attic is no joke

Great company! Honest people and fair prices…read more If you're anything like me, you hate shoddy work, and in the home remodeling industry, there's a lot of that. I would rather pay a premium to ensure it is done right and the quality is there. SumZero does that and more. We called, and within a day, they sent one of their experts, Raphael G., to quote us for ductless mini-splits to outfit our home. He was very thorough, offering different options that would work for our living room and bedrooms, which are boiling and humid during the summertime. He made the process extremely easy for us to understand and was willing to work directly with our condo association to accommodate their requests. We're still waiting to get them approved by our condo association, as there is a lot of work involved in obtaining approval. However, so far, the experience has been nothing but easy and painless. I'm looking forward to having the mini-splits installed.

UPDATE: A few hours after writing this we LOST ALL HEAT DURING A BLIZZARD. No power interruptions,…read moreit is THE SYSTEM NOT WORKING YET AGAIN. Called only to be told we'd get NO help or support for two days. Our entire house is only around 55 degrees now and we can't safely leave. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I am so unbelievably upset. We called Friday asking for help and now here we are, heatless with two kids home during a blizzard. ----------------------------------- I waited a long time to write this review because we gave SumZero many opportunities to correct ongoing issues that have existed since day one of installation (a few years back). Unfortunately, we continue to have persistent problems with both heating and cooling. We have two young kids and at this point it is unacceptable these issues haven't been resolved. In the summer, our back room with vaulted ceilings is consistently 5+ degrees warmer than the rest of the house. In the winter, that same room is always about 5 degrees colder. The main living areas also had issues for the first few years, struggling to maintain temperature in the summer and leaving the house humid and unable to hold the thermostat setting some days. After extensive back-and-forth, SumZero ultimately replaced the entire outdoor unit, stating we must have received a "lemon." That replacement was installed this past summer, yet the temperature imbalance in our back living room remains unchanged this winter. Separately, we were provided a mini-split for our partial basement living room. That unit is unreliable and often does not work at night. The settings are correct, we have tried power cycling and resetting the breaker, and it still works only intermittently. It has been set to 68°F for days, yet the room is currently 56°F with no warm air blowing, despite the unit being on. My husband and I have contacted SumZero countless times over multiple seasons and years. Even after replacing major equipment, we still do not have a system that can adequately heat and cool our home as promised. The heat pump system installed through MassSave has never performed adequately in the years since installation. I understand that some older heat pumps can struggle in extreme conditions, but high-efficiency systems (like one we should have received via MassSave rebate with SumZero) should be able to handle New England winters and hot, humid summers., from my research. Ours cannot do either consistently. At this point, we are exhausted from having to address these issues every few months. While the customer service representatives and technicians are polite, no one has been able to properly fix the system. I strongly recommend going with another company if you want to avoid a long-term headache. Photos show mini split remote temp set to 68 but room thermostat shows 56, this is a common occurrence. Other photo shows main house ecobee (new thermostat for heat pump unit) set to 70 (has been set to this for months) but it's only at 65 in reality and continues to go down. The back room with vaulted ceilings thermostat currently reads 59 even though it should be at 70.

They've been great.. up until recently, when they started advertising on TV! I'm on Automatic Delivery and I noticed that my Oil Tank Levels have gotten quite low before they've come to fill the tank the last couple of months. This month it's even worse! I called them on Thursday because my tank was showing less than 1/8 Tank. I was worried about running out of oil and my pipes freezing in this extremely cold weather. They assured me I'd have oil delivered by Saturday. It never happened! Currently, my oil tank gauge is reading "Empty"! I called again today, Saturday Afternoon at 3:30 pm. I got the answering service who told me the office was closed but that a service technician would call me back. It is now 7:40 PM and I still haven't heard back from them. A call back would be nice, so that I can get an update and/or if I need to call someone else to deliver fuel! Not knowing is the worst part! My anxiety is Over the Top right now because running out of oil and losing my heat (as well as damage to my heating system) is just hours away because of their INCOMPETENCE! This is totally UNACCEPTABLE & UNNECESSARY!
