I've been to nearly every barber shop from Mt Vernon to Tysons Corner and this is the best! The women barbers here are pros, I've been going for a year and a half now and have had cuts by all of them and all are good. Lately I've been getting shaves going back every week for one. Let me start out by saying I went here for years before this incident. The last few times I went the head, neck and scalp massage got alittle rough with the karate chop from one particular gal. After my last visit my neck began to hurt and then I developed a scalp infection from a burst blood vessel. I stopped by to speak with the owner and since she was busy I left her my number and asked her to call me as it was urgent. This was after an ER visit and Cat scan #1 when i was sent home with antibiotics. A week later I was in the hospital for 4 days and on IV antibiotics. I am extremely disappointed that the owner chose to just ignore my request to call me. I was not setting out to sue them or anything and I just wanted to make her aware although I'm sure I could have as I would bet they have no license to provide massages. Be careful if they start thumping your head making a clapping noise. read more

I have been going to this barbershop at least once-a-month for the past 2.5 years. Virtually when they first opened. The service is always great. Lily, Billy and all of the other barbers are always on point. I can be a little undecisive, and they're always helpful with styling and cut options. The price is only $14- so you wont't break the bank as if going to someplace in DC. And the haircut includes a massage of the temples and neck. My son went here for a pompadour, and Jenny did a fantastic job. The ladies here are all very nice, and will ask you in detail what you want. They give a facial/neck massage at the end of the haircut, and for $12, I feel like it's a way better deal than Hair Cuttery. He's had pomps done by Becky at Dulles Bubbles (she was very nice, did a great job too), and although the job here at Pro was the same, the price was 1/3 that of the Bubbles cut. He's also had pomp touchups at Hair Cuttery Bethesda, and Dilma over there does a great job at a few dollars more, but with no massage. I think Pro at Barber is the best of all worlds: inexpensive, great job on the cut, and great customer service. read more

Here in Springfield on business I was way past due for a cut I can be kind of picky as to who cuts my hair as well as where I go after looking at some reviews and different establishments near me I decided on pro at Barber which was extremely convenient since it was directly across the street from where I was staying there was no way a nice lady came from the back after I was greeted by the first stylist near the door she did a great job I showed her a picture of what I was looking for and she hit it spot on. As well as cut my hair in a way that I would be able to style it in several different ways. I also received a facial and neck massage not very long but definitely appreciated. read more

I have had the hardest time finding a good barber. After I retired from the USMC and went into the private sector I wanted something a little less intense. I went here based on the reviews, and I was not dis-appointed. Consistent haircut, without just putting a #5 on and buzzing you. Best haircut I've had in the DC metro area. Competitive price with friendly staff that do a great job. There only reason I don't go every week is because they take a little bit too long and I usually don't have 45-60minutes to spare for a haircut. I've had places with comparable quality haircuts in 1/2 the time....just not in DC. read more

These barbers are pros! They are meticulous and take their time on your cut, making sure to get it just right for you. A hot towel and a massage at the end leaves you feeling fresh. They finish the hair off with a straight razor around the edges, and they handle it very well which, to me, is the standard by which I judge a barber's skill. I took my 12 year old grandson here. There was a wait of about 20 minutes but it was worth it. He showed the barber a picture of how he'd like it cut and she did a perfect job. No hot towel or massage, but that was fine with him! I was impressed because even though he was a kid, she took lots of time cutting his hair correctly. We'll be back. read more
