This place double-books patients as a matter of course. They say it is a half hour appointment, but only 15 minutes are allotted for the PT to see each patient. For the other 15 minutes, the patient lies unattended under a heat pack, e-stim, or similar. I've been to 7 different PT clinics, and nowhere else do they use modalities to replace time with the PT.
I have also never seen another clinic where the PT is trying to treat 2 or 3 patients at the same time. It is extremely rude, and there is no way to build rapport or trust if the PT leaves no space for the patient to talk because they are always running off to see their other patient as soon as they give an instruction.
I thought Nupur was smart in tracing my elbow problem to my back until I realized that she gives all her patients the same exercises. Upper body problem: back strengthening. Lower body problem: hip strengthening. No wonder she cut me off while I was telling my story during my intake. She just wanted to know if the pain was above or below my waist. It's also why she never asked about how I was doing or how my body had felt after the last session. It wouldn't have changed the treatment plan one iota.
I specifically requested an appointment with Nupur, because my friend (who has never been to another PT) recommended her. When I got there, a woman who I knew was not Nupur because I had happened to look at her picture on the website, started to interview me without introducing herself. When I insisted that I wanted to see the person I had made the appointment with, it was made clear that I was being a nuisance. I had to wait until the 15 minutes allotted to the other patient were up, at which point Nupur came in and (again with no introduction), demanded, and I quote, "So what's wrong with you?"
I didn't feel comfortable when Nupur worked on me. A lot of PTs have treated me, and often it hurt, but it never felt like anybody else was trying to wrench my arm off. She didn't care when I tried to tell her it hurt in the wrong kind of way. She also got impatient very quickly.
During the first half of each appointment, I was left alone behind a curtain with e-stim on without a bell or anybody in sight (at other places I've had a bell). When the e-stim started feeling like it was stabbing me, I endured it for a while because I felt very awkward yelling out in a room with other patients. When I complained after several visits that the estim always ended up with pain, their solution was for me to just have a heating pad (which I can do at home) rather than having somebody stay with me to adjust the e-stim.
I also didn't appreciate them using some kind of Bengay on me without me knowing until I was driving away and felt a weird heat sensation. Again, I've had PT massage at plenty of other places and they all used a neutral gel.
In summary, if you have any self respect, go elsewhere. There's tons of PT clinics nearby that suck less. read more
