Awful service, prints were total garbage. Would give zero stars if that was a choice. Avoid.

My experience from about a couple months ago…read more Needed a spare battery for my camera for an upcoming trip. Nobody else including Olympus had any in stock at the time. I call up Duncan and Wright. Indeed they had the battery. The guy on the phone was quite egotistical that "of course we have the battery, we're your local camera shop" Well the reason they had it in stock is they're price is $20 more than EVERYBODY on it. That's 33% more. So they're in stock because they're too expensive. Of course I bought it though. I was travelling and needed a second battery asap. (I just recently bought the camera elsewhere and they couldn't guarantee that they could get me a second battery in time), and couldn't risk I could buy it when I got to my destination. While not everything is priced as outrageously as this battery, I will not even consider going there after getting ripped off and dealing with their you should only shop at your local guys regardless of price attitude. I have bought gear in the past from Henry's, Vistek, B&H in NYC, and McBain Camera (another Foto Source store in AB) whom all have given me better service at a better price.

Funny how there are no reviews on here since 2016. That is because the staff here is so unfriendly,…read moreand therefore surely has no business. They seem to have a lot of time on their hands looking out the window, worrying about people parking in front of their store. It actually would make it look like they had some business!! I for one, will never shop in this store. Salesman was so rude to me on the phone - wouldn't let me get a word in. Then, he hung up on me!! Very professional. Do yourselves a favour and go elsewhere. They are only out for your money. No customer service here and over priced.

This year for Christmas I ask for a camera, I had given a picture of the exact camera I wanted and…read morewhere to purchase. Well somehow it was was purchased from a grey haired gentleman at ponds that assured her the camera she was buying was a much better even though they carry the Canon brand. But I was told that if I had ANY ISSUES come down and they would explain the camera for me. I wanted to return it immediately but I was told to give it a few days and try it out and see if I liked it. So New Year's Eve I tried the camera, all the pictures came out looking quite strange in fact I myself came out looking like A different nationality. I mean some people like looking as if they slathered self tanner all of them but not me. So I decided that day I was returning that camera. But life doesn't always go as planned things and with a constant string of things going wrong I wasn't able to make it down to Ponds. I also didn't know I could go ahead five day return policy, that's mainly why I told the person above me the camera to go to the big box store who has a 30 day return policy. Even with saying that, it was a Christmas gift and most of those days in between the date it was bought in the day I got it that was five days. I had no chance with this camera. So I finally made it downtown, drove around for 45 minutes to find a parking spot then to pay for parking. Go inside try to basically explain to the grey hair man why I've taken so long to come to store and explain what my issues were like the camera hijacks my internet and the extremely long transfer times while the house has no internet. But he said that what you get for high quality it's not like your phone. I just wanted help. They agreed to take the camera at a reduced price because it was used, I admit I cried.. I had a head ache and he never said he was the one that originally helped sell this camera. But he very quickly offered a camera that was so much more expensive. I'm stuck with this camera because I got a head injury and I was under so much stress because of my life that I decided to put the camera away and deal when I could. I went in for help was treated poorly because I know nothing about cameras, that's right that's why I was there for help. I'm glad I was there to be ignored for every customer that walked in the door. It explains how you knew I wanted removable lens. I did return to trade in this camera as Mike (grey hair man) had offered a $400 trade in, four days later it dropped to $250 because apparently I paid $550 which I did not, the lady that was spent time explaining cars losing value and cameras can't be sold for much used and I paid $550. Ponds wrote an 8% discount for each item, now most people would think cool 8% off but what a strange number or just the right amount for a tax exempt card. Which is not a discount.
